After several disappointing attempts to get my color right at various salons, I finally found Devan at JBangs who got it right! I had given up searching and started doing it myself, but my hair is very long and it was just so much work. I took one more chance and I'm glad I did. Did I mention she's also great to chat with? The salon has a comfy modern aesthetic and the owner, Julie, is a complete doll. If you're struggling to find a good salon fit...this could be it!

FANTASTIC! I've been searching over a year for the right stylist here in Nashville and then I found Julie at JBangs. She explained everything thoroughly and understood exactly they type of style I was looking for and completely NAILED it! The staff is friendly and the solon is clean and inviting. You couldn't pay me to go anywhere else!

I came in for a balayage and was superbly taken care of by Courtney. Due to my own inability to describe what I was looking for, the color just wasn’t it. I called a week later to see if anything could be done and they took care of me no questions asked. Thank you so much to both Courtney and Debbie for their amazing service!!!

There are personable, fabulous stylists here who do amazing work. Unfortunately, the atmosphere is not welcoming. This is to no fault of the stylists, but rather the indifferent attitudes of the receptionists/managers. What would typically be a fun, dynamic atmosphere is overshadowed with judgmental greetings and uncomfortable reception. When you leave they're eager for payment and scheduling but that's where the care ends. Kudos to the talented stylistsfor working in this atmosphere.

This was my first visit and definitely will not be the last. I was greeted like a new friend, the stylist listened to what I wanted and I was very happy with the outcome. My visit was definitely a high point of my week.

I found this salon and Taylor through a stranger's referral on a Facebook group, while searching for a place that would cut my hair outside. My super long hair has been my identity for over a decade, so I was very nervous to cut it and had lots of questions and a very specific idea of how I wanted it to look. From beginning to end, Taylor went above and beyond. She was really friendly and patiently answered all my questions. She was the perfect combination - she listened to what I wanted, but also lent her expertise on what specific things would/wouldn't work for me and why. Since she cut my hair outside, I didn't leave with it styled. When I went home and styled it and wanted to change a few things, she had me come back free of charge so she could fine tune it, and it was perfect! I just moved to Nashville after 15 years in New York City, and I can honestly say this cut with Taylor is one of the best haircuts I've ever had. Will definitely be back!

I absolutely LOVE this salon! I followed my hair stylist to this salon and i've honestly felt more comfortable within the first five minutes at this salon than I did at the previous one. The girls are SO nice here, they always find a way to make conversation and i'm the hardest person to talk to while getting my hair done. I will always recommend this salon! I see Tori but honestly all the girls there are amazing!

I have been going here for years. As a man with a full head of hair that’s greying too fast, I need help. Subtle help, not dye-my-hair-and-make-me-look-stupid help. I get it from Matsu, a talented hair stylist. And everyone I’ve ever seen at this place was happy when they left. If you want cheap, plain vanilla, this isn’t the right place, btw.

Just got my hair did by Zach and this may be the best haircut I've ever gotten. He listened to what I wanted and kept the conversation flowing. I had a great time doing what normally is a chore for me. Looking forward to visiting this salon again for my next cut.

Mikayla is amazing! She communicated with me the entire time about what I like and dislike. She didn't just use a clipper and clip the hair away. She cut my hair a little by little, by hand. It was one of the most pleasant haircutting experiences I've had. I would definitely recommend her!

Service which would allow them to be pretentious, but they are not. Just highly professional services to allow you to be as attractive as possible. Wonderful salon. Julie is my favorite (we are not related.)

The staff here are very friendly, and it is very easy to get an appointment. The place has a nice ambience, although the coffee machine was not working that day.The hairdressers seem like they have a lot of experience. However, the hairstylist that I had on my first visit cut my hair a lot shorter than we had discussed. I was a bit surprised and disappointed. She was nice, but a little bit reserved and didn’t talk much. I would still go back to this place again, but probably would opt to have a different hairstylist.

I love the people here. They really take care of you. My whole family gets their hair taken care of here from different people (including my three year old son). Coffee while you wait. Comfortable seating. Big windows. They'll wash hair with a scalp massage. Pricing is very reasonable--not extra expensive like other places in town. I used to go to the Boardroom Salon in Brentwood for men (and still recommend it), but we live near this place, my wife was already going here, and they are just as awesome. The only negative is that the parking can fill up quickly on a Saturday since it's in a two-story strip mall, but i can usually find one place to park.

In Nashville house sitting for a friend and decided why not get my hair done while in town. I googled local salongs and it wasnt just all their good reviews it was the reaction to the one bad review that made me say yep I wanna try them! I scheduled a consultation and didnt pick my stylist, ended up with Kirsten. She was super nice, bubbly and knowledgeable. Made me feel right at home, she asked me what I wanted (which was to not lose what little length I have but I knew I needed to lose some) she agreed with me all the way! So I agreed to the appointment right then and there! She not only was meticulous to get the color (or lack there of) just right, she gave me such a great cut and style! I will glad drive from north Carolina to get my hair done from her anytime! Was such an amazing experience all around!! Kirsten is a very talented stylist, I'd recommend her to everyone!!!
