I needed my hair braided in a pinch and LaVasha made a last minute appointment work! For my first time here, I can say the service was more professional than other salons. Everyone working there was patient with me, making sure to stop and address any concerns I had. She had the forethought to ask what I wanted my hair to look like. She is a master at the art of human connection-she could feel my sensitive areas without me uttering a word. She is patient and showed compassion to my children when they got antsy waiting for me. It's been years since I could say I have 0 complaints about my hair. Awesome job Ms. House! I will be back and I will be recommending you!

She was great really took the time to Detangle my hair even though that wasn’t part of the trimming process and she didn’t even charge me for it. Definitely my go to place from now on

Lavasha is very professional. I have been going to her for over a year. I came in a client with short hair and wanted red and black box braids that was my first hairstyle here. Her shop is very clean and comfortable. She has helped my hair grow in over a year. I recommend going to her because it’s hard to find stylists in cr. Her prices are reasonable and she doesn’t grip your hair too tight where your edges or hair comes out. If she see your hair is damaged she nurses your hair back to being healthy. I give her 5 starts everytime I visit her at the shop. Thanks Lavasha for everything

Got a silk press that lasted for days. Friendly staff. Got hair washed without any comments saying my hair was dirty. From the start the owner made me feel as if I choose the right place to get my hair done.

I started my locs on my straight hair and hadn't been to anyone for help with new growth. I came here to see what could be done to fix my literal mop head, and it was a great experience. They were kind, informative, skillful, and great person to talk and connect with overall. Im super happy with the results and am looking forward to my next visit

Visiting CR, and I like to patronize femme-owned, BIPOC businesses. SO glad there was time to fit me in for an afternoon cut. I didn't have pictures, but the owner has a gift-- it's EXACTLY what I wanted! She was a joy to chat up during my appointment; ask how 'House of Beauty' came to be her salon's name (it's a lovely story)

House of beauty was the most wonderful and welcoming place! The small shop and few people really made it feel like a family, especially when doing a hairdo that takes a while 😁 the stylist did an incredible job on my locs, and stood strong for the whole time it took to do! Everyone was so kind, funny, and helpful- I highly highly recommend these wonderful people

I went to this salon as I checked out the reviews and they seemed highly recommended. Now, the stylist and I were speaking about my hair and what I wanted I said that I wanted it styled and trimmed. She specifically asked what kind of style do you like? I said I don’t want bangs but I want framing around my face layers and just a few inches off. The stylist spent 15 minutes on my hair. She trimmed off about 4 inches and curled it although it was a very loose curl. There was no style meaning framing around my face, definition I told her my hair is very heavy that I wanted it thinned out. The stylist trimmed my hair and One side was longer than the other. My total came to $68. She did not wash my hair she did not style meaning everything we spoke about to do with my hair like frame it, don’t give me bangs, trim and thin it out. Now this was specifically discussed. Believing that gratuity is important I gave her ample. Simply being naïve, I ran my card thought it said $28 gave a $10 tip. Once I realized that I had no definition no layers and my hair was uneven on both sides. I noticed the cost. Immediately I called the stylist questioning her why she would charge me so much? Not even the top stylists in the area charge this price. She became defensive and argumentative. Simply suggesting that I asked for a style which was her “ semi curling my hair that took 5 min. After the communication Process we had prior to me getting my haircut I thought it was very CUT and clear exactly what I wanted. The stylist simply wanted to argue rather than Admit simple fault especially for charging somebody that much on a haircut that was More expensive than two washes cuts definition body shaping framing blow drying and “styling” I receive from my other stylist. If a client isn’t happy and you overcharge them and do nothing besides give them an uneven trim of a haircut would you think that they would try to make up for their poor styling skills and 70 dollar hair trim? No instead she argued with me and continue to until finally after me trying to explain the audacity she had to charge me such a high price for such a low quality haircut I wasn’t gonna waste anymore breath because she clearly didn’t want to at least resolve my dissatisfaction. Rather she was so offended and wanted to justify why she charge somebody $70. I actually had to go and have my stylist redo my hair which cost me another X amount of dollars. And because my hair was so uneven on both sides I lost quite a bit of length which I’m not happy about since I had specifically and explicitly stated that I did not want to lose length. Simply poor service. Regardless of hair type, length, texture and design, men and women alike deserve Decency and respect. Being an owner/stylist should be aware that charging astronomical prices and clientele being overcharged is the easiest way to deter folks from going to your salon. Remember, positive word of mouth and positive feedback cultivates repeat customers. Remember the client is a commodity, not you! Regrettably, The one who lost Half a foot of hair and wasted 78 dollars.

Was in town for a wedding, didn’t have much of a time window and they were able to get me looking nice and fresh for the wedding! They did this while also providing a relaxing environment and offered great small talk. The pricing for the haircut was very reasonable and I left with a smile on my face! Thank you so much for the great experience I can highly recommend.
