I've been seeing Stephanie (the owner) for Y*E*A*R*S! I've followed her from salon to salon...from the mall salon to seeing her open her own place!! She has done almost every service, from simple haircuts, dying, and highlings to balayage, fashion colors, and even AMAZING color corrections! I've never felt rushed to make a decision. She gives options, explains everything, & offers advice on color and/or cut! I can always get an appt quickly that works for both of our schedules. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Honey & Whiskey!!!!

After having my hair “styled” at a local and over-priced salon in Ventura, and being extremely disappointed, I decided to try the Honey and Whiskey Salon.based on client reviews Finally had a really good hairdresser, Salina, (turned out to be one of my old students!) She actually knows how to cut and style hair. She worked with my wavy/straight/thick hair superbly! Thank you Salina😊

I am leaving I’m this review to notify customers before coming in. Please make sure length is shown to the front how much want cut. Hairstylist Salina miscommunicated with me…I wanted mid upper arm from the front right at mid chest length and it was cut right below my shoulder from the back. Her defense that length was shown from the back. Please pay attention to stylist. I put to much trust where it went bad….although I shared it is short I just got a sorry and not other customer service at that time. Unhappy costumers should be compensated like any other place of service at the time not for a further cut where I will not be coming back. I do not recommend Salina and will not be coming back. My hair was short when I requested mid length. Left me emotionally distraught because my hair was length of my lower back and now it’s up to shoulder length.

Salina always makes me feel better about my hair, and as usual, I’m very happy with the end result. She was also very calm and patient as I updated her with what was supposed be a concise recap of the last few months… she even let me swear like a sailor! ;)

We love this salon. We see Emily for our haircuts. She does great color as well. All the women that work in the salon are great. Everyone is very friendly. We highly recommend a visit. You'll be back again.

I found Salina at Honey and Whiskey when I wanted to get rainbow colors in my hair. I came in with pictures and a vision and Salina made it happen for me. I am thrilled with the color service and the haircuts I get here. This is my go to place for my hair.

I have been having my hair done by Trista for many years and she never fails to deliver! The salon is so fun and welcoming. I cant recommend this place enough!

I recently started going to Trista and it has been great. It's easy to book appts and she is responsive to requests. I like the way she cuts my hair so that my natural waves come out. I have received lots of compliments from family and friends.

Please do not go to this salon!!! It is a scam. I went on March 20 to get my hair done by Salina. At the consultation we agreed on a vivid color balayage. She mentioned that the color I asked for would be a variation and the hair dye would fade out with each wash and I was aware of that. The day of the appointment, the results were very different. But I gave her the benefit of the doubt because she said it would be a variation. 3 days later I wash my hair for the first time after the hair dye, and it’s completely washed out all the pink. It should not have changed so quickly! I asked her about it and she said that the shampoo quality would affect how much color would come out. She was saying it was my fault even though I used the one she recommended. She kept saying that she could do a color refresh, but I wanted a refund because I knew that it would all wash out again the next time I shampooed my hair. She refused because their supposed policy is that there are no refunds after 24 hours. Even though it does not state that anywhere on their website. She said so herself that it would wash out each time. So how was it possible to know in 24 hours if it would fade out if I needed to avoid washing it too much? Since she offered me no other solution, she sent me the hair dye she used to fix it and a shampoo to maintain the color. The hair dye is semi permanent! I NEVER asked for that type of dye to be used on my hair. She specifically chose something she knew would wash out quickly and charged me as if it were permanent. And she had the audacity to find it perplexing that I didn’t want to accept the hair dye in the first place. It did not change my hair back to the color she did like she said it would! This whole situation is very shady and extremely frustrating. Even at the consultation she said it would be $350 even though I saw on there services page it said $300. After the appointment she charged $300, but I found it sketchy that she would want to charge more. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Avoid at all costs! EDIT: In response to the owner's comment: Fading does NOT mean semi permanent. Even permanent hair dye fades over time. Not clear at all, and was not explained in the consultation or the day of the appointment that semi permanent dye was being used.

Need I say more? I love the girls at Honey and Whiskey and this was done by Stephanie the owner! I’ve been to Trista and Amanda in the past all did exceptional work! What can I say? I am a beauty stool hopper (but keep it in the honey whisk fam 🤣) lol I’ll settle one of these days 😘

I came in to them 2 years ago and I forgot at the time to leave a review. I have been dying my hair since I was young and at the time when I came to them I had made a mistake with my hair and they were so nice and took my hair from a banded mess to a beautiful blonde cant ever thank them enough for the time and patience they gave me. over the time after I spent it growing my natural hair back out here is a picture from when I got it done to now

Love this cute Salon. The stylists are all down to earth , fun ,and friendly. The Salon is clean and cutely decorated. I see Trista. She is great and can cut hair. She listens to what you want and also gives you her professional insight as well. I love coming here for my hair.

Tara never disappoints! I always leave her chair with a smile. She not only cuts and dyes my hair but she also gives great conversation, gives me tips I can use daily on my hair, and suggests the best products. HORRIBLE. Worst experience I’ve had a salon. This lady left my hair wet and didn’t even dry it after she BUTCHERED my hair. I asked for blended hair and this is what she gave me 😡.ALSO, it cost 60 for this 👩🏿‍🦯 NEVER COMING BACK 👎👎

I had an amazing experience here! My stylist (Emily) was so polite and friendly, and I'm so happy that she's the one who did my hair! I went in with a few reference photos and I left with an absolutely amazing haircut that was everything I wanted.

I visited the new salon at 7770 Telegraph, and Rosie cut my hair. She was so sweet and relatable and gave me an amazing haircut. I will definitely be back and recommend her for anyone who just didn't find a fit in other salons around town. I felt like I was listened to here and Rosie was so considerate.

Two words: MIRACLE WORKERS! I have had hair emergency after hair emergency the past couple years. One of my own making (PSA: never, ever, use at home sun-in hair lightener! Mad damage), the next due to a poor highlight from another salon with harsh roots, uneven tone, and a demarcation line where the highlight stopped. Stephanie saw me immediately for a consultation and referred me to Danni who worked WONDERS to correct everything that was wrong. It is beautiful and better than I could have ever imagined! I haven’t felt this confident with my hair for 2 years and am so grateful. Thank you!

I had such a good experience with Amanda! She did an amazing job on my hair and styled it so well. I’m not kidding when I say it’s been a week and very few of my curls have fallen. I would love to know what products she used. I’ll definitely be coming back here.

I made appointment and they cancel on me last min and they where no professional about it. They could of have someone else do my hair and the did not offer me that. Wist costumer service ever!
