Hidalgo Hair Studio has a beautiful, spa-like atmosphere, and uses high end non-damaging hair coloring and styling products. The staff are competent, professional, friendly, and the owner, Julie, is very nice and welcoming. I highly recommend this business!

After standing in the lobby for 27 minutes and 2 people walked by and said but it turns out everyone that works here was gone and nobody knew how to process a sale. I wish there was another Aveda salon in the area. I have yet to have a good experience here. Really such a poor excuse for a Aveda salon.

I never booked an appointment. I visited their web site and sent an email over a week ago asking if they cut men's hair. I checked my mail, including my spam mail just to make sure I didn't miss their reply. As of today...no reply. I guess the answer is NO, we don't.

Went in for my first time today and Chasity was my stylist. She did an amazing job, listened very well and was great to work with. She even arrived an hour before the opened to accommodate with my work schedule. Absolutely love my hair. Have now found my stylist in the East Texas area after several trial and errors elsewhere. Highly recommend going to see Chasity!

I walked into the place to get a haircut and there's nobody in there at all. Not a single employee in sight. I had to raise my voice saying "hello" just to get somebody out of the back room. A woman comes out and all she tells me is "Oh we're in the back taking photos we won't be doing anything for at least a few hours or tomorrow". Like ok if you're doing all that then put a sign up saying you're "temporary closed". That's just ridiculously rude. I just moved out here and have been looking for a hair salon but this certainly will not be the place. I would not recommend going here.

After leaving my appointment today I can say that I have never felt so unwelcomed in a salon. I just moved to longview and was looking for a nice salon just for a trim and style. I made an appointment for 1pm but was left waiting until 1:30 while the stylist finished her previous appointment. I had no problem with waiting but if I knew it meant my appointment would then be rushed I would have left. She didn’t even spend 30 minutes on my hair, which most of that time was used blow drying my hair. The whole time I felt more like a burden to her than a client. I’ve never left a hair salon and the stylist not show me the haircut or ask if I liked it. She just rushed me to the front to pay. Overall I feel as if it was a waste of $60 and I could have gotten better treatment and results anywhere else. If she didn’t want to cut my hair so bad she didn’t have too.

Caroline is AMAZING! Since moving to Longview 2 years ago, I've tried many hairstylists, never getting the exact cut I was looking for, that WOW moment, until I took a chance with Hidalgo Hair Studio/Caroline. On the first visit she did an amazing cut/blowout and so I made an appt to get some highlights and was blown away. She recommended some options, we agreed and she nailed it! I didn't want anything too drastic and she listened. A+++++

I came in for a partial highlight with Chastity on Saturday and I couldn't be happier with the results! She used a toner and the tone of blond goes so well with my all over color. I highly recommend checking this place out and Chastity in particular.

I can’t say enough good things about this salon and the team of ladies that work here. I’ve been to top dollar salons around the world and none of them compare to the service and culture at Hidalgo! They genuinely care about you and it shows every single time I’m in one of their chairs. I’ve been coming here since 2011 and HIGHLY recommend this salon. They are hands down the best in their trade in East Texas.

I haven't been in this salon but their website is not helpful. I tried to schedule an appointment for a hair cut; however, it only gave me options for blowouts. I read their services info and showd hair cuts prices and blowout separately so im guessing is not the same, why I don't get the same option for appointments?

I went there 2 times. Both of those times I was put with a very NEW stylist, like right out of school. They both thought they knew what they were doing. Not so much. So I thought I would try one last time and ask for an experienced stylist. Well the appointment I had and the one she had was different. I tried calling and left a message to be called back, four hours later I called her and just canceled everything. This place just doesn't care about getting new customers to service. Seems like the good old girls rule. Won't go back.

I emailed them with images of my bad highlights and was in dire need of correction. Jules the owner got right back to me and had Carli contact me. Carli fixed me up and I finally found my new stylist.

I went to get a haircut from Courtney for the first time. The cut turned out good and the place was clean. Professionalism was lacking. When I told her what I wanted she said "oh my!" Clearly disliking it. Then proceeded to tell me that it would make my hair stringy. I was about to just leave and I think she could tell. She told me that she could do something similar that would work with my hair. The appointment was awkward after that. She later told me that another stylist wanted this cut but that no one would give it to her. When she went to style my hair she grabbed a flat iron so I thought she was going to straighten it but was curling it. I told her I didn't want it curled. 1. I wear my hair straight 2. Hairstylists do that a lot of times to hide mistakes. After I told her not to curl it she kept insisting on it. No means no. It made me think she messed up my hair in the back. Thankfully it looked fine.

The salon is beautiful and I loved the sweet dog that roams around. Wonderful surprise. My stylist on the other hand, was immature and spoke only about herself, not letting me getting a word in edge wise. She did a good job on my color and highlights, but I really wanted more highlights but that was my fault for not saying anything. My hair cut is okay, not great. I have had to cut my own bangs since my visit. I will go back but have a different stylist. I was in the beauty and salon business for over 20 years. I know how to treat a client. Hopefully she will learn to listen as she matures.
