Heather is the absolute best hair stylist out there. She asks the right questions to find a cut that fits your lifestyle, and her ability to match a look with a personality is exceptional. I don't live in Austin anymore, but I make appointments with her when I'm in town because there is no match. I first met Heather when I needed a corrective cut after a bad haircut (it was really bad) and she completely transformed my hair to make it the best haircut I've ever had. She also helped me find the humor in the bad hair cut which I appreciated almost as much as the cut! Her bedside manner is wonderful and I value her thoughtful, holistic care to my hair and experience. I've learned great tips from her on how to care for my hair at home, and her knowledge clearly speaks to her extensive background and experience. She's brilliant. Highly recommend.

Heather Olexa is hands down the most talented hairstylist I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with. Every time I leave her salon, I feel like a model! Not only does she make me feel absolutely beautiful, but she also has the most incredible bedside manner—she’s cool, calm, and truly listens to what you want. Heather is open-minded, flawless in her craft, and her soul is pure gold. I was so nervous to chop all my hair off, but Heather created a masterpiece out of my hesitation, and now I can’t imagine trusting anyone else with my hair. She took my fear and turned it into confidence! I’m already excited for my next transformation with her. If you’re looking for someone who offers both amazing skills and incredible value, Heather is your girl. Highly recommend—trust me, you will not be disappointed!

I've been getting my hair cut by Heather since 2014, because no one makes my hair look as good as Heather does! Even though I moved away five years ago, I still keep coming back to Heather. Her skills are unmatched, and she always understands exactly what I'm looking for - maybe even better than I do myself. Heather is a gem, and I’m so lucky to have found someone I can trust completely. Highly, highly recommend!

Heather Olexa is the best there is. She is an absolute genius with color techniques, cuts and styling. I never tell Heather what I want - I tell her to just do her thing b/c I trust her artistic talents and they always far surpass anything I could have dreamed up for myself. Heather has trained around the world and has experience like no other, so I'm happy to pay for her unique expertise, knowing I can leave my hair to her brilliance!

I love going to Heather for my hair and have been going to her since 2021. No one has done a better job of maintaining my thick, wavy mane like she has. Heather always gives me great styling advice and excellent product recommendations and my hair grows in nicely because she just knows how my hair is going to behave even weeks after my cut. I have recommended Heather to friends and will continue to do so because she’s truly an artist and has a passion for hair and helping her clients achieve their ideal hairstyle. If I could give her 10 stars, I would. I was so scared to get a perm again because stylists would mess up my hair and I was badly dramatized. I have not had a perm since 16. Heather gave me faith that she was able to do the job and I was so impressed by her. I left my stylist of 10 years and have no regrets since then. Heather, you are now stuck with me for life . 🤣

I’ve been living in Austin for the last three years and have had the pleasure of going to Heather for all my hair care needs. Heather has an incredible reputation from being well known in NYC as well as featured in editorial work, to being invited and doing hair at Paris fashion week; she’s got an amazing talent and is hands down one of the best cosmetologists I’ve been to in years. She shows genuine care for all her clients by listening to their wants and always recommending and delivering amazing results. I’ve always felt beautiful after visiting her salon. I highly recommend visiting her!

When moving to Austin I was desperately looking for a hair stylist that could work with my hair and gladly I found Heather. She is great at listening to what you want and like, she is great with curly hair and super detail oriented. Besides that the space where she cuts hair is beautiful and she also has the best music playlists and also you will have a great time since she is super funny and a great conversationalist. So don’t hesitate and go with her, she is truly amazing and I’m so happy I was able to met such a great stylist and person!

Heather is just straight up rad ! She listens to your hair goals and inspirations and transforms that into something that is perfect for you AND that you can recreate yourself on the daily . Don't walk, run to see Heather! Austin is the luckist to have such a talented artist in residence. I have been getting my haircut by Heather for almost two decades in NYC and have seriously considered flying to Austin for my next cut, even despite all the hair salons in the big apple. Anything but basic, Heather creates styles that match each clients' personalities. She's truly magical -- she's also so much fun to talk to!

Heather has been doing my hair for years! Not only is she a gem of a person but she is an expert at what she does. Her color advice for me is always spot on and my haircuts are also amazing. She takes time to listen to what you want and then delivers it time after time. Her salon spot is adorable and I’m always happy to spend a few hours there with her! PS - she’s done vivid color and extensions on me and they’ve both been wonderful.

Heather is amazing! I have naturally curly red hair, and as I’ve gotten older my color is fading. She consistently gets my color back to my natural tone! Her cuts are very on trend and also classic. She knows my hair texture and the curl pattern and works well with it! I highly recommend Heather!

Heather was the change I needed. She looked at my inspiration pictures and with her expertise gave me a fashionable new hairstyle that I love. She is easy to schedule with, has a cool salon and is super friendly. She is also great with pixie cuts. I would give her 10 starts if I could.

I’ve known and loved Heather for 15 years. She is an exceptionally talented hairdresser who has seen me through various stages of pixie cuts and the inevitable growing-out process, which in her hands was painless and actually fun. I have fine, nothing-special hair with no real texture to speak of, but somehow she brings it to life and makes me feel cool, creative and like I have an intentional look. Heather is also just a joy to chat with while getting your hair done in her lovely, serene space. I cannot recommend her enough, and I can’t wait for my next cut (for which I will happily travel from Nebraska to Texas - she’s that good).

Seriously thy coolest human being I’ve ever met! I had no idea how to articulate the red/copper/burgundy I was going for and as she got to know me she passed the mirror and put my mess of instructions into a vision and masterpiece of cowboy copper! Heather is the best stylist I’ve been to! I can’t recommend her enough. Each appointment is such a treat because she’s so friendly and easy to talk to. I've been seeing Heather for about 3 years now! I have resistant grays that need touching up every 6-8 weeks and every time I leave Heathers chair I feel amazing with a gorgeous cut and color. I love my layers and she's kept my hair so healthy despite all the coloring. Not to mention she's so fun to chat and hang with while she does my hair. Love Heather!!
