I passed by this business for years and finally stopped in with the promise of hot hibiscus tea on a chilly rainy day December 2024. I inquired about massage services and was warmly greeted by Dr. Bomani. I received a reiki massage and spiritual counsel on the spot. It was a relaxing and enlightening experience. Dr. Bomani is a spiritual healer and helped me release some tensions and trauma. I was pleased with the reiki massage. I have received another massage since then. The reception and inconsistent pricing of this business could use MUCH improvement. I initially stopped in because hot tea was advertised outside. There was no reception or hot tea. The menu of services has one price but I was charged a totally different MUCH HIGHER price. I willingly agreed because it was an enjoyable experience. On my second appointment, i walked in and was NOT greeted by the woman at the reception desk. She was on the phone and handling business on the computer but a smile would have been greeting enough for me. She was walking back and forth so frantically, it made me feel anxious. When she finally got off the phone, instead of addressing customers, she addressed the staff asking, “whose client is this?” My massage therapist Dr. Bomani greeted me warmly and offered me tea. I walked to the room and I received a fully clothed massage, which I didn’t appreciate. After 40 mins (booked for one hour). I walked back to the reception area, and again the woman (by this time I understood her as the owner) didn’t even ask me how the service was. I stood at the counter waiting to check out while, again she was too “busy” to even greet me or any of her HER customers. It honestly made me tense, after the massage. She then walks behind the counter and asks my therapist, what did she get. It was such an impersonal, UNHEALING experience. The only time I got any ‘warmth’ (half smile) from her is after my payment processed. So, I have chosen not become a regular client. I wish my massage therapist Dr. Bomani the best.

I booked a session with Dr. Bomani a couple of months back. I came in with kidney pain, dark urine and mid to lower back pain due to me swollen kidneys. I would feel very tired even after a full rest. I would also feel very sharp abdominal pain throughout the day and it would intensify when I needed to use the bathroom. Dr Bomani performed cupping and acupuncture to start my session. He also prescribed a couple of over the counter drugs along with some herbal medicine. I came in with pain and concern and left feeling rejuvenated and without pain. I slept really really good that same night. It’s been a couple of months and I’m still without pain but I still need a few more sessions which is on me constantly working. The staff was very kind and professional. I love the location, everyone had their own location within the house depending on what you booked an appointment for so you can have your privacy and relax. I would highly recommend for hard labor workers (construction etc) and athletes.

I’ve been here 3x and today is the first time I’ve had a rude experience. There is a lady working the door with a thick accent that was getting loud with me because they sell ionic foot detoxes by 30minute intervals. However, their machine only runs for 23minutes max per session. And my first session was only set for 13minutes. But Broomhilda didn’t believe me when I pointed out the time on the machine was off. Every other time I’ve come the front desk person would automatically check to ensure the machine was set correctly and then come back and add the extra minutes onto my 30minute session. This egotistical accent person told me I needed to “ask her” for the additional time. I had to ask her a few times to lower her voice when talking to me before finally sending her away. She went on to slam doors and cabinets shut in the hallway beside me. She did not have good energy from the moment she came to the front desk. Beware when you buy a foot detoxes for 30mins you might have to stroke Griselda’s ego to get your other 7minutes. She won’t automatically do her job like the other ladies who have serviced me before.

So, I'm 3 days in for my liver cleanse and within the week was able to make an appointment with Erica for a Saturday session. She educated me on the "Angel Water" machine and the process was very pleasant. I'm glad that this time around my colonic was not a bad experience.

I visited Heal Thyself about a month ago around July 5th. This was my second visit here. My first visit about 1.5 years ago was amazing. This visit left much to be desired. I made an appointment for a 1 hour massage at 2pm. I arrived at the spa at 1:55pm and checked in with the receptionist. She was very kind and understanding (will explain why.) I then waited in the lobby. At 2pm, I was acknowledged by someone else in the spa who asked if I wanted water. I declined and continued to wait for my therapist. At 2:15, I started getting anxious because I had to work at 3:30pm. If my appointment had started on time, I would have made it to work on time. Around this time, another person asked if I wanted water. I declined again. There also was another customer waiting for service in the lobby. We were both genuinely confused about the delay. At 2:25pm, I finally got up to inquire about canceling my appointment and share my frustration about being late. I was a bit frustrated because I had to give a deposit to book this appointment and didn't feel like my time was valued. At that moment, the receptionist said the therapist was coming and said maybe the manager would see what she could do after the massage for the delay. Despite my upset, I was kind and composed throughout this experience. My therapist came down around 2:30. He was very kind and apologetic. Though the massage was amazing, I felt anxious throughout because I knew I would be rushing to leave after. I only noticed a sense of urgency and concern on the establishment’s part after the massage was over at checkout. I mentioned to the receptionist if there was anything that could be done for the inconvenience (as she suggested earlier) and the manager offered me $5.00 (less than 5%) of my massage. I was completely exhausted with this experience at this point and left. I did tip my therapist appropriately because he did an amazing job and I support tipping. For the record, I didn't have an issue necessarily with the wait, but the lack of communication and poor resolution.

At one point, I enjoyed coming to this place, however I will be taking my business elsewhere. Word of advice, do NOT book a package deal, because when "life" happens and you even call to reschedule the appointment, they will take the package away that you have already previously paid for and refuse the service. I understand policies and even cancellation penalties BUT a PRE-PAID $100 service being taken away for calling to reschedule is outrageous for a business that is geared towards "healing." Sad to say that MONEY IS INDEED THE ROOT OF ALL EVIL.

I have never had a better massage and body healing journey! Mariah is my massage therapist and she has removed pain in my shoulders and back through deep tissue, hot stone, cupping, and reiki in different massage sessions. I keep going back to her because her hands are powerful and effective! I drive a lot for work and have for years so my back has been through it! She’s improved my posture by recommending a customized healing plan for me and it works! It actually works! I don’t walk around with back pain anymore! Even exercising is easier because I have a lot more range of motion when strength training. Heal Thyself knows their stuff.

I just had a life-changing cranialsacral massage paired with facial reflexology by Mei. She customized the massage to focus on a prior injury. Other massages, I feel good that day, but the old aches and pains return. With this massage, I feel like it repaired decades of wear and tear I put on my body. I highly recommend Mei!

This past weekend was special for my wife and me—it was our wedding anniversary. I had the pleasure of planning our anniversary, and one of the activities I chose was couple massages at Heal Thyself Atlanta. This was our first time visiting, and it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment we walked in, the ambiance set a relaxing and serene tone. The atmosphere was calming, with soft lighting and soothing music that instantly made us feel at ease. Every staff member we encountered was incredibly friendly and welcoming, adding to the overall positive experience. We were offered water or hot tea, which was a thoughtful touch. We had the pleasure of having Mariah and Jabril as our massage therapists, and they were both phenomenal. We opted for the deep tissue 90-minute massages, and it was exactly what we needed. Mariah, who worked on me, was especially impressive. She found knots that I was not even aware of and worked through them with expertise and care. Her skill and attention to detail were evident throughout the session. The service we received was exceptional from start to finish. Mariah and Jabril's professionalism and dedication to their craft were truly commendable. This experience made our anniversary even more special, and we left feeling rejuvenated and grateful. Heal Thyself Atlanta exceeded our expectations in every way. We highly recommend their services and look forward to returning for more relaxing moments in the future. I went to heal thy self for my first ever colonic and I have nothing but great things to say. Tati did a phenomenal job making sure I feel comfortable and at ease. She went into detail about the health benefits and gave great direction. I left feeling AMAZING! Light as a feather and ready to take on the world. I will definitely be back for other services. I have been coming to Heal Thyself for about four or five years now. My first massage was when I was 21 or 22, and since then I have both gifted massages for people and continued to get massages. The staff is always so kind and gracious, but I want to talk about my favorite masseuse ever, Mai. Mai is the sweetest, kindest, caring, most talented masseuse ever. Her and I have truly bonded, and I will forever refer to her and choose her as my massage therapist. Recently, I tried a thai massage for the first time for my birthday and it was the most blissful massage I have ever had. Mai is truly gifted and so so special and truly a brightener in anyone's day. I love Heal Thyself and absolutely adore Mai and will recommend her always.

Jabril and Mei are AMAZING!!! I had an injury a year ago that had flared up again and was gifted a deep tissue massage here. I’ve always seen it in passing but never gave it a try until January. Once you arrive you receive a warm welcome from reception and offered water as well. (Please drink water before and after your sessions). Jabril and Mei were awesome and paid attention to all of my concerns as far as my upper back and neck. I nearly fell asleep during some of the sessions, they’re that good! I cannot recommend them enough! The space is very quiet and relaxing. You may hear children outside playing or sirens because they are on a busy street, but that’s out of their control and they play relaxing music, so if you go just enjoy yourself. You won’t regret it. 10’s across the board.

My experience during the actual facial was great! Loved the space and my esthetician has a really good energy. This was my first ever facial and during it she recommended I go with a less harsh treatment (all good so far). I took her recommendation of dermaplaning. During the facial, she was good about warning me of sensations that would be unpleasant. She told me all after care instructions and a skin care regime recommendation would be sent in a text end of day. I specifically asked if there was any makeup, products, or activities I should avoid in the following days and was told no. From everything I’ve seen on google this was not true and luckily I checked before doing my face wash routine in the morning or I would’ve had an even worse reaction than I am now. I did not receive the follow up text for two days. It was incredibly generic. Basically just cleanse, tone, serum, moisturize. No recommendations personalized to me like I was told to expect. Also the text said to ask if I have any questions. My skin has reacted very poorly and I have cuts all over one side of my neck (picture attached) . I sent pictures and politely asked if this was normal and if I could do anything to resolve it. No response so far and that was over 24 hours ago. I understand there is no way to know if skin will respond negatively to new treatments but the cuts on my neck and lack of responsiveness to my concerns are what drove me to leave this review. In summary, don’t go here if you don’t already know what your face will respond well to and proper aftercare. Also avoid dermaplaning here all together. Really wish this had gone differently bc like I said I really enjoyed my time during the treatment.

I have nothing but good things to say about , the AWESOME STAFF of Heal Thyself Atlanta . For starters Sade's picture does not do her justice ! Sade is sooo much more beautiful in person ! Moreover, her beauty radiates from inside of her. I see Susan for a wax every 4.5-5 weeks! I love her and heal thyself so much. It’s always clean, relaxing, and everyone is so friendly and down to earth. One of the best spas in Atlanta . With the best prices as well . I go to this spa monthly for a facial & massage . Sadé does my facial & she’s so gentle and amazing ..she literally knows what my face needs everytime . And Mei !!!! God bless her hands !! She gives the best massages ever . Oooh and how could I forget , you can also get a colonic here ! Totally recommend . This is my all time favorite spa ❤️
