Headlinesthesalon has been a business in Encinitas since 1987. We pride ourselves on making every visit an experience that’s more then just a haircut. Our award winning Lather Lounge has been one of our Guests favorite parts of their visit. We have been named by Salon Today magazine one of North America top 200 salons, 15 years We LOVE blondes and specialize in Balayage and highlighting Extensions are our specialty! We are certified Bellami, Easihair pro and Halo extensions. The products we use and recommend are the best. Eufora, Oribe, WOW, and Zenagen. We look forward to meeting you!

The stars aligned for a really good experience here with Selah. I walked in expecting no openings but she had a cancelation and I seriously lucked out. She absolutely nailed it and I love my hair!

My daughter’s first tween hair cut/style session was with Kendall, and we couldn’t be more pleased. We came ready with a photograph of what my daughter had picked out for her hair style, and a request for 1.) help my daughter select better hair care products for the changes seen in adolescence; 2.) assist my daughter with a cut and instructions on how to style her hair. Kendall was fantastic: she engaged my tween daughter readily, and did an outstanding job in answering both requests. She citing helpful and safe products, as well as references for how to do heatless unicorn curls (such as great idea for tweens!) Thank you Kendall!!! You are dynamite!!!!

Cute salon with warm energy, everyone is friendly and professional. My stylist was Brooklyn and she was amazing. I've been looking for a hair stylist since I moved to North County and I'm excited to say I found one I want to stick with!

Sage was wonderful! I absolutely love the haircut she gave me. We talked a bit about inspiration before we began. She consistently checked in while she cut to make sure I was liking the length and style. I love the reassurance when asking Sage her opinion of the cut based on my specific thick hair type. I wish I lived closer for her to be my main hair stylist but I’ll keep her in mind when I’m close!

Emily is amazing! She deserves more than a 5 star rating! I have been coming with her for past few years and she is the best. I had bad hair wash experiences in the past at a different salon where they rushed and left soap in my hair. Getting the hair done with Emily is always great and most relaxing. She is very experienced and will supersede your expectations. Highly recommend her.

Encinitas, CA. Ronnie did magic on Steve and Leslie’s hair! For Steve, the top got trimmed up and modernized. For Leslie, Ronnie did a dramatic change, from long locks to a chic bob. It was an amazing transformation! Ronnie listened well, made great recommendations, and did exactly what was discussed. The vibe in this spot is welcoming and professional. Highly recommended.

I recently visited Tori and I couldn’t be more pleased with my experience! From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was welcoming and stylish, and Tori made me feel at ease. I came in with a vague idea of what I wanted, and she took the time to listen, offering helpful suggestions based on my hair type and face shape. The cut was exactly what I needed, and the color turned out even better than I had imagined! Tori is not only highly skilled but also incredibly personable, making the whole experience feel like a treat. The attention to detail was impeccable, and I left the salon feeling more confident and refreshed. I highly recommend Tori to anyone looking for a talented, friendly, and professional stylist. I’ll definitely be back for my next appointment!

The service was excellent, but the pricing has become outrageous. My last visit for highlights and color cost $450, plus a 20% tip, totaling $540. That’s over $250 per hour—far more than most professionals, including myself as an executive, would earn or spend. To make matters worse, the salon failed to inform me in advance that the price had doubled since my last appointment. I felt trapped, with no choice but to pay after the service was done. Unfortunately, I won’t be returning.
