Great hair salon. I've been here 2x now since October for my Braids and my stylist Crystal is Amazing. I told her back in October what my issues were and she has been so gentle with my hair. She recommends multiple things for me to do in between my visits for better hair care. She is very knowledgeable about all hair types and she's great to talk too. Can't wait for her to do passion twists on my next visit but I am loving my box braids. She has me spoiled. :} The shop is always clean and has a nice cool vibe. I also got a chance to meet one of the owners. Really cool guy! And they have expanded their business to a full barbershop in the same.mall. Kudos to them! 👍🏾

I needed a barber on short notice. I went to House of Haven and the two ladies were trying to see if they could squeeze me in but then mentioned their new barbershop down by JCPenneys. One of the ladies texted them to see if they had availability. After not receiving a response for a while, she kindly suggested I walk down there… so glad I did! I was greeted warmly and Mike the Barber said he could take me after he was finished with his client. Mike was professional, personable, and listened to my needs. He did such a great job! Everyone was welcoming and professional and for being the only female client at that time, that environment is greatly appreciated. If you’re looking for great barbers, give Shalom Style a try! You won’t be disappointed.

I took my 4 year old king here and he absolutely loved it ❤️ Crystal was our stylist and she was so gentle with him, it was just a reassuring process. This was his first time and I will definitely be going back. 5 star service and very nice people. I have no complaints. Her shop is also very easy to locate within the mall.

I met the owner of Haven's House of Hair Academy (Ms. Catrina)at Physical Therapy. I asked her some questions and told her my concerns as far as getting my hair braided. Went on the website, looked at the reviews and figured I'll give it a try. Told Ms. Catrina that I was getting my hair done in Philly. VERY EXPENSIVE not to mention I'm in the chair sometimes 8+ hours as well as not able to move my head or sleep due to the tightness. When it comes to my hair I'm real peculiar. She answered all my questions & reassured me my experience with her would not be like that. I told her I'll give her a play (try). So I made my 1st appt in June for my 20th Wedding Anniversary Trip and it was awesome. The braids was not squeezing my brain & I could sleep at night. I told her she would be my hair dresser for now on. The price is right, nit to mention I'm in at 8am & I'm home by 3....YESSS!!!!! Had my 2nd appt. today 9-5-24. I'll see her again around Thanksgiving. If anyone in De is looking for a hair braiding stylist, I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND Haven's House of Hair and ask for Catrina. It's located in the Dover Mall. The Salon is clean & its never over crowded with customers and thus far her staff is nice, polite and friendly. Thank you Ms. Catrina

This was by far the absolute BEST experience I've had receiving hair services. The salon was clean, professional and most importantly - TIMELY. I was there a few minutes prior for observation and was addressed BEFORE I sat down. Fortunately for me, I had the pleasure of being serviced by the owner and was elated, as I had performed my research and was honored to be served by a teacher, a mentor and businesses woman I could relate to. People shy away from 'mall' salons, but this was by far a treat and highlight of my day. DO go. Not only are the services affordable, it's no-nonsense straight and to the point.

My first time visiting a salon in Delaware. Catrina was the best. Very professional and also very friendly. My waist length knotless braids came out exactly as I wanted, very neat and not overly tight. I will be back!

Listen, I don’t fall asleep in places where I don’t feel safe and comfortable! Not only did I get some peaceful rest BUT my stylist made me look and feel BEAUTIFUL! I have found my new forever hair salon! They stylists are all beautiful inside as well as outside. I love this place.

Mrs.Catrina was really nice we only stop one time and she was able to blend the hair as we went on. I was there from 9am - 7:30ish pm and they came out perfect just how I wanted them.

This place does not know how to do hair. Do not go here. They will ruin your hair and refuse to give your money back. When trying to talk about compensation they are were extremely rude and refused to talk to us. The workers are so nasty for an establishment who cannot do hair properly. Waste of money take your business else wear.

This was a first time experience at Haven’s House of Hair. Recommended by a friend. I was very pleased with Mrs Catrina who was my stylist. She was professional and courteous. My hair BEAUTIFUL! Also I must add how comfortable Mrs Catrina made me feel. I relaxed and watched movies as she worked her magic. Highly recommend!

What took me so long…. I had a wonderful experience with Sam at the salon. She took me in last minute, and I was immediately struck by her good vibe. Sam was engaging in meaningful conversation throughout my visit, making the experience enjoyable and relaxing. She was both professional and courteous. The salon itself had a great atmosphere—peaceful and relaxing. I also had the pleasure of meeting the owner, Ms. Catrina, who was warm and friendly. I will definitely be back!💚

this is the worst place I've ever been to my friend got her hair done for prom and the lady botched her hair completely Refused to give her the money back $300 gone to waste do not come here worth experience. when asking for money back lady was nasty and gave ignorant looks

Catrina is a miracle worker. She can take a picture of whatever style you want and make it happen. She will take your wild unruly hair and turn it into a masterpiece. I would give her 10 stars if I could. This is a beautiful shop, everyone is friendly and welcoming. As soon as you sit in her chair you feel like you’re relaxing with one of your closest girlfriends in the comfort of your home. She has taken such good care of my hair, since I’ve been coming to her, my hair has started growing so nicely. I have found my “forever home” here. Thank you Catrina for making my hair dreams come true.❤️

Mrs. Catrina always kills my braids and will be the only braided to do my hair. She really takes her time to make sure you’re in love with what you are getting. The entire shop is so loving and so helpful , so peaceful. Love them all 🫶🏽

Ms.Catrina and Mr. Frenchy both educates you about your hair while styling you,, they only uses the best products and they are extremely kind and patient with children.
