For those of you that plan on booking with Heidie, I caution you. I was referred to her by a friend, and even though it was an hour drive away I decided to make an appointment with her. There is a certain kind of decency, or class that hairstylist are expected to have. Heidie was extremely rattled when I arrived because she was overbooked, and even though I booked this appointment a while ago she decided she was going to rush me through my appointment to accommodate everyone else. She was only going to spend 15 minutes to cut my hair. When I questioned her regarding this, I typically get a haircut that takes an hour. She wanted me to reschedule, again, after an hour long drive. Clearly Heidie had no desire or sympathy to help me. You would think after waiting several weeks and an exhausting trip, Heidie would actually care enough to fix the situation, she didn't. I can't emphasize enough when you plan and put your faith in someone that they are going to take care of you, how disappointing it is when they don't. Being overwhelmed and uninformed by the desk receptionist is not an excuse to be rude and unkind. Do NOT make an appointment with Heidie, unless you plan on a really long Saturday.

Great haircut, as always, from Sara! She has excellent skills at layering hair, trimming bangs and framing around the face. Their prices are fully displayed on large chalkboard at reception desk, so never a surprise. Their discount punch card is also encouraged by all the stylists.

Never get what I ask for. Price never the same and over priced for what I get. I've gone to other salons and my price varies depending on what I wanting but nothing like this place.

Heidi who works here is a miracle worker! She took my raggedy anne hair and made me feel beautiful again. She turn an aweful cut into something manageable every day. 10/10 Would highly recommend!

I have been frequenting this salon for quite some time now. My hairdresser, Ariel is fabulous! Today was my first appointment since being in quarantine. I had to spend $2.00 on a mask because I didn't have one. If that wasn't bad enough, after my hair was cut and I was ready to pay, I was told I had to pay a $3.00 sanitation fee (shouldn't they be sanitizing anyway?). So that's $5.00 over and above the cut and tip. What a very unprofessional way to inform loyal customers of this new policy. I mean, I called and spoke to a gentleman who made my appointment. WHY DIDN'T HE INFORM ME THEN?? Not a good way to keep loyal customers. This came off as very sneaky to me. I made another appointment, but I am so turned off I am not sure I am going to keep it.

This place is very clean, the staff is nice, and they are talented. The reason it's 4 stars is only bc when I made appointments the wait times were 10-20 minutes. Edit: I took a star away bc even if they say they close at 8, they close at 4 if they can book all of their appointments before hand. I've brought it up with them and they say it's if they're not busy, so I recommended they change their hours online. They did not and it will say they're open even when they close 😬

Update - I did receive a full refund, including tip. I was also able to lighten my hair using DIY remedies I found online with items found at home. DON"T GO THERE - I asked for partial low lights to blend in my dark blonde roots - the stylist appeared to understand what I was requesting but I unfortunately ended up with all my hair dyed 10 shades darker - you can't even see any "low lights" because my entire head is so dark now! - all the golden blonde highlights and carmelizing I have paid hundreds of dollars for over the last few years are completely gone!! To make matters worse, I tried to call the salon the minute I got home and saw the horrendous dark, drab color, but there was no answer and no way to leave a message, so I drove back to the salon and it was now closed - at 3 PM - the posted hours are 9AM - 8PM and there was no notice they were closing early. Hair Unlimited on Guadalupe & Sossamon also does not have a website and are not registered with the Better Business Bureau. Now I have to go back up there tomorrow, demand my money back, and find out what type of color was put on my hair so I can go to a reputable place for a color correction! :(
