Fantastic cut by Annie - she was so great about squeezing me in last minute right before the holidays. No shampoo and just a quick blow dry, $53 including tip.

If you need a simple buzz cut sure but if you want anything more they probably wouldn't be able to handle it.

Pros: Seems like a lot of tech bros come here to get their haircut and they seem happy with the cut and price. If you are a woman with a basic cut and thin hair I would come here. However: Me thick wavy shoulder lengenth hair: My experience: I made an appointment because i was sick of overpaying for bad cuts in overpriced salons in SF. I don't need to be told I'm fabulous I need a good cut. I wondered, what kind of haircut I could get for 40 bucks? 1.Appointments seem to mean nothing you just line up. 2. IMO she was not done with my cut but had another appointment so politely out I went. For example: the woman I scheduled an appointment with took the inch off, however ran out of time to take the thickness out of my hair, and did not have time to shape it. (or she didn't know how) not sure which. So I still need another haircut. 4. On the positive I usually pay $200 for a similar incomplete cut so I was happier leaving knowing I only blew >$40 plus tip. 5. She was trying to do her best, but seems the salon is designed in a factory style. 6. The woman before me had a bob and it looked really good. Once again if I had thin fine hair and a basic cut I would go back!!! for my thick hair I'm not sure. Over all an okay experience.

The quintessential walk in quick out guy’s haircut place; no rez needed, cheerful Asian folks and a 90% “good” quality cut - once they remeber you from multiple visits more like 100%. I’ve know these folks through 3 locations & 15 years - A+++ to Stacey & her shopgirls!

Hair Shaper is in a great location, a few blocks off Market street. Walked in mid morning and got a great cut at a great price. Highly recommended!

I recently had my hair cut and deep conditioned by Stacey, and I couldn't be happier with the results! I was in a crunch and needed a quick appointment, and Stacey came through with flying colors. Not only did she fit me into her schedule, but she also did an excellent job with my hair. The cut is exactly what I wanted, and the deep conditioning treatment left my hair feeling incredibly soft and healthy. On top of that, her prices are very reasonable. I highly recommend Stacey for anyone looking for a skilled and accommodating hairstylist!

If you are looking for affordable prices for your hair cut that is the place. All the stylists are friendly and experienced. I got my hair cut by Quan and wanted to get a little bit shorter the side. I went back in another day for redo and she fixed it immediately. Love the service. Thank you for opening in our neighborhood. Update, they can adjust the hair cut within 7 days without charge.

Very disappointing - screwed up quite a bit, just a simple haircut.. probably even worst than great clips and super cuts.. left with no choice but, have to wait for 3-4 weeks and go get it fixed somewhere..

Appointments don’t mean anything here. Two consecutive times I’ve been overbooked. I had a haircut here before. The haircut looks good otherwise.

Would give 0 stars if I could. This is essentially a fancy looking super cuts. I went in and specifically asked for a specific layered cut and showed photos. The woman (dont know the name) did not ask any questions and said “yes yes” like she understood exactly what I wanted. 10 mins later, I walked out with an absolute rubbish hair cut. Will just have to wait for hair to grow back again and go to a better place to fix my hair. I will not be returning and would not recommend this place, save yourself the hassle and go to super cuts instead

Walked in for a men's haircut and waited only 10 minutes before I got the fastest haircut of all time. I'm talking 10 minute haircut + 5 minute shampoo + wash and the cut was amazing! For the price, speed, and style it was definitely worth it. Really great service and super friendly staff. I'll be back for sure.

Walked in on a Saturday, didn't need a specific stylist so was seated right away. I only needed a simple trim and for $40 it was good value considering how expensive it is in the city.
