My experience at Hair on Central blew it out of the park. I just moved to this downtown area and finding the right stylist can be challenging. Makenzie was amazing. Her skill is incredible- the best highlights I’ve gotten in a long time!! It was more than the hair service though. The place and people have HEART!! Super kind and humanistic! I strongly encourage you to see Makenzie!! You won’t be sorry!!!

I went to Hair on Central because my hair was becoming too gold in color and wanted to get back to ash blonde. Breklyn was my stylist and transformed my hair to a beautiful ash blonde in one session! She also understood my haircut needs and did a wonderful job. I like to call her the hair whisperer! The salon is very professional and very friendly!

Makenna is an absolute gem. I walked in today crying from someone who had just royally messed my hair up. I went home lifted my color and walked in not knowing the salon looking for just a consultation to see if anyone could possibly fix my hair. Makenna welcomed me and comforted me and assured me we’d fix it. She went through a whole consultation to make sure she had a clear picture of what I wanted and she nailed it. I would recommend her 10x over! (Camo shirt is the mess up. Grey shirt is Makenna’s amazing fix. )

Breklyn and everyone at Hair On Central are the most amazing people! I have a pixie and when I moved to Florida I was so nervous about getting a new stylist. Breklyn made the transition so easy and made me feel confident and beautiful. Plus she’s just a wonderful person overall. I would give them more stars if I could!

Breklyn and her Stylists are fantastic Hairstylist and her salon is very professional. I’ve been in the hair industry for 45+ years and have owned and operated Salons of my own. She is very fair and does not take advantage of her clients. When there is time involved and extra product involved there is a pricing range that is considered including the experience and level of the associate performing the service. Most Salon owners in the industry and clients are aware of this. Happy day :)

Breklyn and her team are absolutely amazing. I’ve been coming here for the last 5 years since I moved down here. My hair always look amazing each time and we’ve tried many styles for a men’s cut.Breklyn and her team did my entire wedding party’s hair and they received so many compliments. If you want high quality with amazing customer service, then you need to head to Hair on Central!

Complete scam. False pricing to the max. They charged me $300 for not even a full foil where on the website it says $158. I wasn’t notified that I will be charged than 100 dollars more than advertised before getting the service. Tried to call to understand why I was charged so much, there was no reasonable explanation to how it ended up being this expensive. They blamed me as a costumer for not asking…makes 0 sense. I strongly encourage to go to a different salon that has way more reasonable and accurate pricing which there are plenty around. Not sure how they got good reviews before. Strongly recommend getting your hair done somewhere else unless you want to pay %50 more than you intended.

I very rarely write reviews except for now. If you are looking for a hair salon in St. Pete, this is the place for you. I found Hair on Central in 2018 and was introduced to Breklyn (boy was I lucky). Breklyn and her staff go above and beyond to listen to every detail about your hair and give you exactly what you want. The atmosphere is calm and the shop is beautiful. You are always advised of pricing so there are no surprises about what anything will cost. I absolutely love this salon.

Ive been dying my hair fantasy colors for 7 years now and when i moved back to st pete 4 years ago i search for a quality salon that would be able to keep my pinks and purples looking fresh. I was paired with breklyn and i couldnt be happier. She is always up for any of my crazy colors and ideas and executes them amazingly!!! She always does a beautiful job and helps bring my vision to life. She always finds time for me to come in and ive never had a bad experience with her. My hair always looks amazing and healthy even with all the color in my hair. I love this salon and am so glad that we got paired up all those years ago. The pricing is always reasonable and they are upfront with what they charge. If youre looking for a forever salon look no further. These ladies are top notch!!!

The whole staff is super friendly and welcoming they are so sweet I went in for a hair dye Mackenna did a great job picking the color that would go with my skin complexion and it turned out great just like I wanted it its like she read my mind i didnt even show her pictures. She went above and beyond I definitely recommend her and im sure the rest of the staff is good too I will definitely be back and bring my mom for highlights thank you Mackenna

There’s only one place I’d show up to the DAY before my wedding for a haircut for myself AND my fiancé (who has long hair) without a second thought. That is because Brek is CONSISTENT. You always know what you’re going to get — the best service for the best price. She is solid. She is incredibly Talented. And her amazing sweet soul is just a bonus. She made us both look amazing before the wedding & even did my fiancés beard and outlines. I’d recommend her to anyone.

Updated Review: So I wrote a review about a month ago which I will leave below this one… but seriously, I cannot give Breklyn and this place enough love. After receiving some really tough news regarding a family member the morning of my appointment ~that I had been looking forward to for 2 months~ I was sure I was going to have to cancel and reschedule. After debating for a while, I realized that there would be no point in cancelling my appointment just to go sit in a hospital waiting room all day. I let Breklyn know what was going on and that I still wanted to make it to my appointment. She was my angel that day. I’m so glad I kept my appointment because sitting in that salon all day was exactly the distraction I needed. Breklyn and her team made a horrible day somewhat bearable, and I really can’t thank them enough for that!!! She even checked up on me the next day to ask how me and my family were doing. You don’t find people like Breklyn often, she truly is a blessing on earth. Not to mention, she absolutely nailed my hair *obviously*, and now I’m all ready for summer with my long blonde mermaid hair!!:) Original review and photos: I will absolutely never be going to a different hair salon again. Mrs. Breklyn absolutely nails it every single time. She took me from Brunette to Red, and then from Red to Blonde. Somehow my hair is still as soft as ever. She is literally a miracle worker!!!

Very bad quality of hair dye and service. After showing a picture and explaining it in details how I wanted a darker root and dark blond highlights, my balayages turned out to be bright orange. The two ladies in the salon kept repeating that it looks great. Even before drying it I asked it to be re-done as it was a ridiculous colour. After an other hour in the chair my hair looked a bit darker but very far from what we discussed originally. At checkout, before asking for a tip, they had the nerve to say they did not bill for the second amount of dye! The worst is that after washing my hair twice, my hair turned back to the first, orange colour! I believe the hair colour product they use is called MATRIX.
