Alice is an excellent stylist and has cut and styled my hair four times. She always does an excellent job and does exactly what I request.

Don’t bother. Neither two employees could Be bothered to take two seconds from the person they were working on to look up and tell me how long the wait was. 45 minutes later After waving someone down, I learned it’s going to be 35 minutes still.

I will not say her name, but I will not return to Hair Cuttery again. I had to ask more than once if the beautician could scrub my scalp. She made me feel like a burden to ask the first and second time. I didn't feel comfortable with her either. I could tell she didn't put no effort. (She was an older black woman, over 65 I'm guessing). A proper shampoo should happen automatically without my having to ask. My scalp really needed to be scrubbed. She grabbed a brush after I'd asked and did it for about a minute with the brush. It was very short, I had to ask if she could do it again. My head was still slighty itchy but mostly dirty. Moving dirt and oil around the head/scalp just doesn't make any sense, and I shouldn't have to ask, because that should automatically come with the wash, not having the customer ask multiple times. I overall did not receive a good wash. They do not wash hair like they use to back in the day anymore. Plus she wanted to charge me about 90.00+ to comb blow-dry, she said because my hair was thicker and longer, which I can sort of understand because I do have thick to curly hair with length, so I left without being comb-blow dried, which in fact was "my personal choice." Also I did not have that kind of money for that. I also felt the color I received was a bit darker than my natural hair color. I've gotten color in the past elsewhere that was not this dark. This was also what I initially came in for, color, which was all I really wanted. But I still had a dirty scalp when I got home and comb-blow dried it myself. My blow dry comb was dirty, and my sink was grainy from a partly dirty scalp, Unacceptable!!! I really just wish these beauticians and shampoo girls could scrub the scalp like they did back in the day, without making you feel like your burdening them for asking. I definitely will not be returning, this was a terrible 1st experience. I personally feel this place is not designed for "ALL" hair textured types either. I already shared my experience with a few people, so they know to stay away from here. This was my very first visit to Hair Cuttery and will definitely be my last.

Walked into this location about a week or so ago. There were three stylists who all had clients they were working on. I was a walk in and upon arrival all 3 kind of side eyed me looking as if they were annoyed. I stood at the front desk for several minutes before finally someone asked what I needed. Told them just a cut and the lady told me she would be with me in a few minutes. At this point about 10 minutes went by and they haven’t asked for my information what so ever or have they put me in the system. At this point another employees arrives. I’m assuming they were starting their shift or perhaps returning from lunch. Finally she starts to take my information and then gets A very concerned look on her face and tells me the wait will be “ a good while “. Other than the clients they were currently working on no one else was there in queue. It became fairly obvious that they only like to treat customers with appointments with respect and professionalism. Do not say your business allows walk ins and then treat them like a burden you wish would go away. In this case that’s exactly what I did. This place made you feel unwelcome and not worth their time. So I decided to take my business elsewhere.

I've been going back for many years. Why? Because prices are reasonable, I have my favorite hairdresser and Cora always does a great job

Dominique was great! She consistently updated me step by step and asked me along the way how I was liking my hair and if I wanted to change anything. I had a great experience with her and would want to return!

I went to the Hair Cuttery to get a classic blowout, ($27 on the website when I scheduled); the lady who worked with me -I think Mrs Alice was her name- was really sweet, but the quality of my blowout was extremely poor. By the time I got home, 5 mins later my hair was so frizzy and had no shape, and when I ran my fingers through it, my entire scalp was WET. When I checked out I was charged $40, I’m not sure why but I didn’t even ask just paid, tipped and left. I’m really disappointed about my service yesterday, I don’t have much money to spend in a hair salon and I finally decided to due to the reviews but it was a total waste of money:(

I've been going to Cora at Hair Cuttery in Owen Brown Village Center for over 15 years and I always leave loving my haircut! My hair is thin but very curly, so it's sometimes hard to find a stylist who can cut it to maximize the volume. Cora is very friendly and personable, and professional. She is friendly, professional, and very kind. That's why I keep going back!

The only redeeming value of this location is the awesome salon workers who earned the extra two stars.The Hair Cuttery chain has been known for being a "walk in welcome" salon since the beginning, but they never have enough staff to fulfill that commitment anymore, and it doesn't seem like management is trying to hire. It's been low staffed for years, and you can ONLY go by appointment at this location. If that's not a bother to you, than I recommend them.

Called months ago as my number was used by an 'Anna to book appointments thru Alice, called to have it removed and it was done again, called and nothing was done as this woman keeps using my number ive had for over a decade to successfully book her appointments. so I drove an an hour and 45 minutes to talk with them in person and explained I have an ex in this area that Ive placed a successful do not contact order against and tried to explain my situation, I was met with hostility, end of the day it's a haircut place and using my number is trivial to some but it's not like I'm asking for their personal info as they're already using mine. I've had problems with harassment so much so a few phone calls asking twice about removing my number shouldnt be an issue that was met with hostility. MAKE IT MAKE SENSE, PLEASE.

I loved my haircut from Cora! She listened and did exactly what I asked for. I only took off a star because the lack of a receptionist seems very disruptive for the stylists to be able to cut hair and be with their clients. They keep getting pulled away to answer phones, manage scheduling, and handle payments.

I went in the salon around 5:15pm (2 years ago during Covid times). I asked one of the ladies if the salon is still servicing people , mind you this place closes at 6p and there was nobody in there. The girl I asked , who had glasses on, looked at the time , and told me flat out no. During these times, you would think they wouldn’t want to turn down any business . I guess they didn’t need mine. I wasn’t even rude , I just walked out of there . I’ve gotten hair cuts here before and have had no problems. Apparently they were too “busy” or she just looked at me and just felt not doing the work because she wanted to go home early. Who knows but customer service needs to be addressed here .

Sophie is a great beautician. She washed and trimmed my hair. Will return in 5 weeks for the same to keep my hair healthy. Natural hair is my style.
