I made the tough decision to get a hair piece and after literally hours of investigating and talking to business's far away, I decided to go with Bryan. He has the unique ability to communicate and understand what you want. He is patient, understanding and fully competent. He gave me exactly what I had in mind, which was something unique to only me. This completely looks like my own hair. That was not an easy challenge. I am quite satisfied. I can highly recommend him.

The first appointment of haircut + blowout was good. The second appointment I had my hair colored to cover the gray, and the color was way too dark. The third appointment I asked for a lighter color to match mu natural dark brown, and pointed to the color I wanted on a swatch. He said ok, and over an hour later my roots were a MUCH lighter color than the rest of my hair. As I pointed this out, Bryan mumbled something about "I knew we should've done a darker color" which I was surprised because none of this was mentioned to me when I picked out the color. I'm not sure if this was a passive aggressive comment or he was just talking to himself. It definitely wasn't my fault because I pointed to a dark brown and he said ok, so clearly he messed up the color somehow. He had to redo my roots with a different dye that was quicker which I think was less permanent. I was there maybe 3 hours or more, and my scalp was irritated for the few couple of weeks because of this. One other thing, I had mentioned from the first appointment that I've been losing hair for years, and the reason I went to him was because I was told he's a hair loss specialist. He pretty much brushed me off and told me my hair looks fine density-wise. I did buy some shampoo to help lessen the shedding but I think that also irritated my scalp. I was originally looking for a trichologist which is what I thought Bryan was, but I ended up with a hair stylist, and not even a good one.

Absolutely phenomenal work done by Brian. Not only is he professional but he is the easiest guy to talk to. He establishes an understanding between himself and the client so the end result is as close to, if not exactly the desired result. I cannot thank him enough for the wonderful job he has done. HIGHLY recommended to anyone in the Gainesville area or anyone visiting the town.

Decided to give Hair by Bryan Dean a call after reading the reviews, and it was the best decision I made. All the reviews are accurate. Bryan did a fabulous job with my cut and color, giving me exactly what I was looking for! Both came out better than I expected, and the result is so easy to style and looks amazing. Bryan is professional, very personable, listens to what you're looking for and gives you what you want. I highly recommend Bryan and will be coming back for sure!

I moved to Gainesville in 2019 and was still traveling several hours every 5-6 weeks to have my previous Stylist color my hair. After COVID-19 hit I thought it was time to find someone local. Bryan had many good reviews. I made an appointment and he was very professional and knew exactly what I wanted. I have continued to use his services. He only schedules one client at a time and gives you his full attention.

My stylist closed for good due to the effects of COVID .I have been going their for years including during Chemotherapy.I was devastated.I went to a different stylist once for some additional bling and my hair was badly damaged .He was one of two stylists who responded to my heartfelt requests for help for my hair .He meet with me and my Patriot service dog Freedom.He listened to what I wanted ,addressed all my questions and was patient with my hearing loss which is complicated due to the necessary masks .I was very scared yesterday but I LOVE my hair it ROCKS and he is going to add color to my halo .I was almost in tears after seeing the results.I highly recommend him .He has a beautiful/clean /quiet studio.He truly cares about his clients and their results .After ,having lost all my hair in the past it is extremely important to me .I will be forever grateful to my old hair studio Elan and wish Ryan /Karen much success as they retire !!They were great to my previous service dog Zoe who died from cancer and watched Freedom grow up from a puppy but beyond grateful to have found Bryan and highly recommend him as he is very knowledgeable in many aspects of hair including hair loss.Bryan is very knowledgeable,caring ,patient and knows about color .My results are stunning and after months of not being able to get my hair done I am blessed to have found for perfect person to do my hair and am so thankful !!! Bryan saved my hair! Last year I had a very bad experience where my hair was dyed dark blue (I asked for mermaid grey) and then promptly fell out at the root. I lost about 1/2 of my hair! Since then, Bryan took me under his wing and healed me ... my hair is growing in beautifully now. The extensions I had to wear at first fooled even my husband and the cut he gave me is the BEST I have ever received!!! Thank you Bryan. I will forever be in your debt!

When I found out Bryan was doing men's hair replacement, I made an appointment as fast as I could. I'd been wanting to try a hair replacement system for a while. Bryan was amazing! From the consultation to the application Bryan was professional and kind. The cut and style were awesome and I received a lot of compliments. I especially like the privacy. Bryan has his own private, professional studio! I will definitely be going to Bryan for all my hair needs.

Bryan was amazing! He was so funny and made my very long day much more enjoyable. As far as my cut and color are concerned- flawless!!! My cut and color are EXACTLY what I wanted!!! I have to say finding a stylist that listens and really does everything to give you what you’re desiring (within reason) is hard to find. I am pleased to have FINALLY after 5 years of living here, found someone who does my hair well and just as amazing as my salon back in Tennessee. I’m very pleased and would recommend Bryan to anyone. I also loved learning about all of the cool things he does other than cutting and coloring hair. He does extensions, hair restorations, and literally so much more so there is something he can do for any and all types of hair. Impressive. :) Thanks Bryan for making me look FABULOUS!!

I absolutely love Hair by Bryan Dean, I would go just for the shampoo and blow dry alone it was soooooooo relaxing. I had heard of Bryan years ago and finally was able to experience his expertise. I had a color & cut & absolutely love my hair so shiny and smooth and the cut lays perfectly!

Bryan has been cutting my hair for 5 years, and as long as we’re both in Gainesville no one else will cut my hair. I am extremely picky about who cuts it – it is a short bob with short bangs, the type of hair cut that is super unforgiving if someone does it poorly. For the first year I lived in Gainesville I traveled back to Jacksonville to have my old hair stylist do my hair because I was scared to go just anywhere in Gainesville and have someone mess up my hair. I did a lot of research on the internet and it seemed like Bryan was the person to go to. I had a tight college budget back then but I always found a way to make it work because it was well worth the money to have a flawless haircut. Bryan also did a BEAUTIFUL ombre for me a few years ago. I get compliments on my hair frequently, but when I had the ombre I had a lot of hair stylists come up to me and comment on how well done it was and ask who in Gainesville did my hair. I always look forward to getting my hair cut because it means I get to take a couple hours out of my chaotic life to relax and hang out. Bryan keeps me laughing the whole time I’m in his chair. I always enjoy our time together. I don’t ever really leave reviews for places (I’m busy!!) but I truly love Bryan and know that I’m lucky to have found such an awesome hair stylist here. (Please don’t ever leave Gainesville, Bryan!!)

After moving to Gainesville 12 years ago and trying a few local salons and not being happy with my hair, a friend recommended I call Bryan. I am so glad I did. Bryan is a true professional and is very knowledgeable in his craft. He has done my hair for many years and I have never been more pleased.

After struggling to find a good hairstylist in Minneapolis when I moved there, I was not excited to start my search again when I moved to Gainesville. Someone recommended I see Bryan and he did not disappoint. I'm a simple gal and like my hair to look good without much fuss. If you're the same you know that a good haircut is the key! In the 5 years I've been going to him, I can't think of a single complaint. My hair is always great! In fact, I got a cut right before heading up north for a wedding I was in and got in trouble from the hairstylist for getting a haircut right before the wedding. Bryan Dean is the best stylist I've been to, and I've been to a lot! (I am not a College student - that was long, long ago; let's just say that I'm "experienced", rather than "old".) I have 'stubborn' hair, but he takes the time to look carefully and cut with it, not against it. I cannot recommend him highly enough!!
