So I’m new to town and I have been trying to find someone to retwist my locs. The first time around I got stood up, but luckily this business came and swooped in right when I needed them. The service went smoothly and quickly. Akisha was very kind and professional. She interlocked and retwisted my locs beautifully. Will definitely recommend her to anyone looking to get their locs taken care of.

The issue: I originally had the appointment set up on December 3rd at 12:30 a month in advance. This past Sunday she texts me me asks if I can move it to Wednesday or Sunday same time. I told her Sunday would not work and asked for Monday since I am getting my hair done for my birthday. She told me that she is working this week and Wednesday and Sunday are her only days off so I said Wednesday works ok. I will give her a positive note and say that she was extremely helpful as this was the first time I was getting a sew in and she helped telling me where I could find what I need and what all I needed. However I have a big issue with her ghosting me the day of the appointment. There were never any communication issues in the past but yesterday was horrible. I was waiting for her for almost an hour hoping she would respond or give me something but she didn’t until about 2 hours later. I posted this all on Facebook so I could find someone else and give context behind what happened. A day later after I found someone off of Facebook she begins to call my phone and very unprofessionally gets upset for what I posted. Then under the post proceeds to call me names and posts my number multiple times (posts screenshots that are already posted in my original post). This lady is extremely disrespectful and unprofessional. I have added screenshots of the conversation between her and I. There is a way to go about running a business and this is definitely not the way. She tried to say that she doesn’t answer texts when at work but you need to make that stuff clear when all previous communication went smoothly over text, and you need to be near your phone when you know a client is coming soon just in case there are ever any issues. The woman that I ended up going to was very professional, nice and completely understood my frustration! I added all of the receipts to this post as well. The reason why I did not knock on the door was also because the lights were off and the curtains were shut so it looked like no one was there anyways.
