I used tp go here monthly, but since Cedar Springs location opened, I've been going there. However, last week I stopped in since I was close and there was no wait per the app. I get a high and tight everytime, a style other stylists say is thier favorite as its quick and simple to do. This visit, the stylist had no idea what she was doing..... too afraid to go high on a high and tight. I got so frustrated I just wanted to leave. I had so many comments from family and coworkers about the terrible fade.... I'll never come back to this location. Those reading this, choose wisely! Second chair to right is not experienced!!!!

Been getting the same cut in the same place for about a decade or more. The last 2 cuts were NOT the same as done previously. Neither were the last 2 cuts done skillfully. Instead of blending the sides and the top, the stylist left an awkward transition between the sides and top. Already emailed customer service and they were going to contact the store. So far…crickets

I went in to get a simple cut, and then get my hair blow-dried. I entered the facility with freshly washed and wet hair. My stylist started out fine, but soon it was clear did not know what she was doing. Said she couldn't get the back to match the front, I asked if she could just do a v tapered cut so all of my dead ends got cut. She called a manager over who needed up doing my hair cut with ease. I also got layers and face framing. Once that was done the manager checked with the staff to see if she was ok doing the blow dry and round brushed under as I had requested. I am almost 40, I have gotten my hair blow dried more times than I care to count. This was the absolute worst experience. My hair is curly, she hardly put any heat to it, maybe 6 seconds a section and then moved on. By the time she had done it once my hair was an absolute mess, frizzy and still wet. She said she will go over it again. Same thing. Five seconds a strand and not properly drying it. She stated that she couldn't get it straight without a flat iron and would have to charge me extra. I have never run into this issue. Ever. I tied my hair up, paid, and left. I am sitting in my vehicle half an hour later and my hair is still damp. And looks absolutely horrible. See picture.

I would like to say how usually good my experiences are here. I have been getting my haircut at this location very consistently for about 8 years, and I haven’t had any glaring issues; friendly staff, quality, and an inviting building. But yesterday the 7th of July when I went in the two actually hairdressers were sitting down and watching these two new people cut, which isn’t an issue, but the issue is that’s all they did. Sit. No pointers, no help, not even as much as a word the whole time. This very nice older lady cut my hair and while I can tell she kinda knows what to do, a trainer actually training her would have prevented the anxiously done haircut I received. I thought three times she was done cutting and she kept going, the layers are choppy and the hair is short by about an inch. I do not blame this women or the girl, who looked younger than me and I graduated last year, for any not to standard cut they gave. I blame the negligence of the two hairdressers who watched this lady second guess herself and over cut mine and most likely other people hair, please make sure when someone is new, needing to be trained, is VERY obviously nervous, and needs help, especially in a line of work such as this, they receive it

Always way too busy & desperately understaffed. I have never understood the poor ownership/management of this Great Clips location. It's as if they pick the BUSIEST times of day (evenings/weekends) and then purposely schedule as FEW stylists as possible! Where is the logic here? This branch in Rockford has 8 chairs/styling stations, so why is there only ever a maximum of 2 people cutting hair at any given time? Doesn't make a lick of sense! Maybe is franchise owner too greedy, hogging all the income revenue for himself, but refusing to hire enough staff to handle busy times?

This is the second time I've got someone that should not be cutting hair professionally. She needs to go back to school or get some colleagues to help her out cuz the haircut I just got is unacceptable. Picture of the bangs that I'll have to cut myself attached. 2 stars because I've got great experiences with other stylists. FYI it was the lady with the nose piercing. And it explains why the dude ahead of me chose to wait for a different stylist. I should have followed their lead.

Took my teenage son in to get a hair cut. Have been in before and have always tried to avoid a certain stylist. Well today was the day we got her. She should only be doing buzz cuts. She completely hacked my kids hair up. Went waaayy to short in the back and sides and just couldn't recover with the front. After 20 minutes with her trying to figure it out another stylist came over and spent another 15 minutes to recover the hack job...you can't put hair back after you cut it! This stylist should not be cutting hair! At least they didn't charge us....

Long wait, not enough staff, staff working has no sense of urgency and didn’t care at all about customer service. Terrible experience. Wait was longer than they said on online check in. Cut was not professional and hair was not cleaned up after cut. Will not return, we’ve had good experiences at other Great Clip locations.

the one star is for the "check in process". I hope the higher ups will notice this. I usually get to this great clips before they open. As soon as the door opens I go in and they ask me if I've used the check in( which I can't because you can't use it until 5 minutes after they open) but I've had to wait if someone comes in after me but they checked in online. This past time I got there at around 10:08 and there was 6 people in there I think 3 getting hair cuts and 3 waiting. so I thought this shouldn't be too bad and sat down to wait. It got to the point where I was the only one waiting when another guy came in and he checked in and was taken before me. Then a family came in and had a couple of kids and they started taking them before me. what started as maybe a ten minute wait involve into about a 40 minute wait. (I will say if the rest of that family was getting hair cuts they did take me after only taking a couple of the kids before me.) But my point is if you have a customer sitting in a chair waiting who couldn't have used the online check in wouldn't it be logical to take them if he's there before the check in people? Please don't think I'm being over dramatic or a so called"Karen" you hear about today( my apologies to all the good "Karen's" who have to suffer because of some pushy arrogant people) because I'm not trying to be that way. But I will say I have a condition that ,and I know this might sound like I'm arrogant and being pushy, that I have to be careful how long I wait for something. The condition is a cancer thing and I have to be able to respond or should I say react fast in case something happens. I know this is been a little long but it's something to think about. If you have someone who is already there and someone who's checked in online comes in afterwards you might try to accommodate the person who was actually there in person first. Especially since you don't allow reservations. Just a thought. I will say this I've always have had good hair cuts and great people cutting my hair at this great clips. P.S. when this thing happened to me I had to leave really fast, so fast I accidentally gave the person checking me out the wrong amount (underpaid) and she had to bring that to my attention. I apologize and quickly remedy the mistake and rushed out to my car.
