I had an incredibly disappointing experience at Great Clips in Richmond, TX. The general manager's behavior was appalling and came across as blatantly racist. We were asked to leave simply because our *two-year-old child* stood on a chair for a moment. While we understand the need to maintain order, the situation could have been handled with kindness and professionalism. Instead, the general manager's tone and approach were disrespectful and made us feel targeted and unwelcome. As a family, we expected a welcoming environment, not to be judged unfairly. This type of behavior is unacceptable and unprofessional, especially in a community-focused establishment. I hope Great Clips addresses this issue and ensures their staff is trained to treat all customers with respect and empathy. Until then, I wouldn’t recommend this location to anyone.

Don't book the mexican lady. She doesn't even know how cut or use the machine.She messed up my hair very bad...Try going to a different location..After having my hair cut I went to my barber and she did my hair cut perfectly.. I have to pay for double barbers today..

Terrible Experience at Great Clips - Avoid if You Have Young Kids I recently visited this Great Clips location with my two sons, ages 7 and 1, and it was the worst experience I’ve had at any barbershop. I was in a rush, and this location was nearby, so I decided to stop in for haircuts for both boys. First, when I arrived, my one-year-old didn’t have his shoes on and was walking on the carpet. One of the stylists rudely asked me if I didn’t have shoes for him, and when I said no, she nastily told me I should pick him up because there was hair on the floor. Her attitude was completely uncalled for, but I decided to ignore it, pick him up, and keep him entertained with Cocomelon on my phone. When it was my older son’s turn to get his haircut, I tried to focus on him, despite the bad vibe from this stylist. Then, when another stylist was available to cut my one-year-old’s hair, the same rude lady came up and told her that they weren’t allowed to cut his hair because it was against the Texas board regulations. I immediately checked the Texas board regulations, and there’s absolutely no rule saying you can’t cut a baby’s hair just because they don’t have shoes on. While I can understand if they have a store policy for hygiene or safety reasons, there’s no excuse for lying and treating customers so rudely. This was by far the worst experience I’ve had at any Great Clips. The staff at the front desk were no better, offering no reasonable explanation or apology. One even mentioned that if he had socks on, it might have been fine—information that would have been useful if delivered without the attitude. At that point, I was beyond irritated and left without getting my baby’s haircut. I will never return to this location and strongly advise other parents to steer clear, especially if you have young children.

Me and my cousin went to this place to get a haircut but the people over there were very disrespectful and rude, and they did not listen to anything. We said my cousin wanted to get curtain bangs, and when she was telling the lady that that’s what she wanted, the lady was not listening to her. my cousin also told her that she wanted a bit more haircut, but the lady told her that she does not need it and when my cousin told her to cut off more hair, she was being very rude and was in a rush and messed up her hair.

Went there after 6pm to get a haircut. The hairdresser was chopping my hairs super fast, ruined my hair cut. She seemed to be in a hurry to leave work. She clearly didn’t know the difference between half an inch and a inch. IT DOESNT HARM TO ASK THE CUSTOMER IF YOURE CUTTING JUST AS THEY WANT, cuz once you’re done, you cannot reverse. Never going there again. Avoid this place.

Moved to the area a while back and after trying out a few places, I hit the jackpot with this place. Hands down the best haircuts in town! I'm super picky about my hair, but every time I leave here, I'm thrilled with the result. They nail exactly what I want every time. Their online check-in system rocks - no more waiting around. And let's talk about Mari - she's my go-to, no competition. Always friendly, attentive, and a total pro. Me and my kid won't go anywhere else. She's the real deal! Recommended 100%

Great Clips is actually not that great. I like only one stylist here who is an Asian lady. Last time when she wasn’t there, we had to get haircuts from other stylist, and she did a horrible job, and showed so much rush like she has a long line of appointments although we were the only people left in the salon at that time. They were also specially extremely rude to South Asian Indian ladies. I don’t know why and what’s the history or reason behind it. Most of the employees there, were Spanish and they all were speaking Spanish most of the time, with the Spanish clients also with each other. They were clearly very rude to any other race than Spanish.

I've been here twice, and both stylists were fantastic and professional. One also helped me try out a new hair style, and I'll keep coming back here.

We been going to the Highland Knolls location but decided to give them a try since it's little closer. I'm glad I did! Lupe did great job cutting my hair, will bring my boys next week to Lupe.

Just had hair cut at this place. What a horrible experience with Lisa. So much attitude. When I politely asked her about showing the mirror, she said I would show you after I am done with hair cut and this is how I work. OMG, whoever owns that place should defintly fire her. You guys will lose customer with such a attitude and customer service. I am more than happy to provide details if owner contact me. I am definitely taking this to their headquarters.
