I liked my hair stylist’s personality but the one thing i asked was that my hair was long enough to put in a ponytail/clip. We talked about it being shoulder length. It’s several inches higher and now i cant put my hair up. I know it will grow back but i feel upset that i didn’t get the hairstyle i asked for. It will be incredibly inconvenient to not be able to put my hair up. Im not picky with my hair but once again i asked very specifically before we started to be able to still put it up. I didn’t want to hurt her feelings so i didn’t say anything when i saw how short it ended up being but i am so upset and will not be returning to this location.

I put off a hair cut for somewhere between 6 and 12 months because I don't like being touched. My hair stylist not only immediately understood, but made me more comfortable than I've ever been, anywhere else

Never send out reviews but just so offended with how butchered my haircut was. General failure to understand what I was asking for and took way more than 2 inches off. Was half tempted to demand a price cut for such a miserable job done. Avoid unless it’s your usual place.

Not me coming back a month later to leave a review because the blonde witch who cut my hair didn’t listen to anything I said and decided to give me a buzz cut ruining my self esteem and smiling in my face which btw took her under 3 minutes to do felt like she didn’t give zero Fs literally didn’t even want to leave the house after this.

Great Clips is our go to for our 10 year old son’s haircuts. They do a great job, get us in quick, and have a great mobile solution for appointment tracking and time management; advising you when to leave for your appointment based on your proximity to the salon’s location.

I have had my hair cut done at great clips for a while now. I have had good and not so good haircuts, but at this location suze does an awesome job, quick, is social with me, keeps herself neat/classy. I give her a 10 all around! It's hard to find someone who cuts hair that keeps themselves and their hair nice and actually can carry on a conversation.

Brought another lady to have her hair cut, Kathy was very helpful with making suggestion for what type of shampoo to use on very fine hair. She also only cut off the. damaged part of her long hair. Look forward to bring my friend back for her next haircut with Kathy.

I got the worst haircut of my life today. I walked in with waist length hair and asked for 3 inches off and layers. Once she was “done” I pointed out that the right side was significantly shorter than the left. The stylist said it just looked like that in the mirror because I was angling my head to see it, when I straightened my head to show her it was in fact lopsided she started chopping a bunch off the longer side and left it worse than before. She than proceded to take a little off the right, than the left, and than right again, going back and forth until I was left with hair a little over shoulder length. The total amount cutoff was closer to 6 inches and it’s still longer on the right! In the end I told her that it was fine because she clearly wasn’t going to get it right and I didn’t want my hair any shorter. To top it all off when she started “fixing” it she left the cape open so I left with little hair all over me.

The worst experience I have ever had, they did not get my haircut right but I was okay with it until I was accused of going through an empty salons drawers. I stopped to check my hair and placed my ballcap on the counter, then grabbed it. I have never felt more humiliated and targeted in my life. I will never visit a great clips again. This location and experience has changed my perception of this company completely.

Review for Great Clips at 5570 28th St SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49512 Today 01/20/23 around 3 pm, my wife and I checked in online...arrived while 1 person was ahead us in line. When we were first and second in line She called 3rd ... than 4th one...when asked how that she said they were here before me...of course not true. We left and will never come back here again. I wish I can rate 0 stars.
