The stylist, Sonia, fixed my hair after it wasn’t done right at another salon. The hair cut came out amazing. I will continue coming here to get my hair cut for as long as possible! The salon is very clean too!

I found Golden Scissors last minute escaping my five hospitalization post colostomy surgery. My hair texture was thinning horribly dry and I felt very ugly. She was so gentle, kind and inspirational as I shared my story. She gave me the best haircut of my life and giant bear hug from her and her husband who came to help because she gave me so much extra time.

I love this place. Mom and daughter team - both are great! Went in with too-thin eyebrows a few years ago and now they are thick and filled in with great shape - thank you to Sonia (the mom)! A few months ago, I went to Lisa Thomas Salon and they destroyed my hair with some weird balayage color and then in attempt to fix the disaster, they did an all over dark color. It faded back to the balayage color after two washes. I went to Golden Scissors to get my eyebrows done and Michelle (the daughter) asked what happened to my hair and said she could fix it. I had doubts but felt I had nothing to lose. I was so embarrassed by my hair. But Omgosh she did it!!!! I felt beautiful when I left, but wondered what it would look like after a few washes. But it hasn’t faded AT ALL and it’s been 2 MONTHS! Best color job I’ve ever had. She worked a miracle on my scary hair!!! Thanks to Michelle for saving my hair!!!! You are the absolute best!!! And Sonia - best hair cutter you will find. She does an amazing job on my kids and hubby. Can’t say enough about this team!!!

Thanks to Sonia my hair is healthy and looks nice! She has been taking care of my hair for 10 years or so and hope she continues doing it for at least 10 more. I’ve been going to Sonya for over a year and I’ve never had a better barber/hair stylist. Even going to places in Chicago, joliet, Shorewood and a lot of surrounding areas I’ve never gotten as good of a cut as I get here !

Wonderful place, super clean and the owner, Sonia, is super nice and polite. Even though it’s a salon they can do everything but better than a barbershop. Fades are amazing and I’m never dissatisfied with my haircut here.

Michelle is my favorite hair artist of all time! Every time I go she knows exactly my vision and even suggests edits if need be. I drive an hour each way just to go see her!
