I've been following Laura Barr for 15 years because she's just that good. Her cuts make me feel beautiful and I get tons of compliments on her work. Also, Im loving this new location. It's easy to access. The ambiance is comfortable luxury with a gorgeous view and ample parking.

love love love how samar does my hair. she goes above snd beyond for you and shell have you leaving the salon loving yourself a little extra more than you should 🫶🏼 the salon is in a great location and samar is a magician when it comes to transforming your hair. i’ve been going to her for about a year now and i have not regretted it ☺️

Laura Barr is the best! I've been seeing her for years and I've honestly loved my hair every time. Laura is wonderful at remembering exactly the cut and color I love and she's also always up for experimenting with a new style too. I always look forward to seeing her because she is a wonderful and kind person to spend time with. If you are moving to the area or just looking for something new, definitely book an appointment with Laura. She's even cut and put in fun color extensions on my daughter's hair too!

I absolutely love this salon and my hair! I get more compliments than I’ve ever gotten. There’s a great vibe in this salon. The stylists have great taste and style and everyone who walks out looks like a million bucks. They use Kevin Murphy products and I always smell great and feel great when I leave.

I have been seeing Laura Barr for six years now and followed her from Detour Salon. She is amazing! She listens to me and always offers great advice about my hair. Laura is fantastic with color and styling. She is also a lovely person and fun to chat with during appointments. Her new booth at Golden Palm is awesome! The location is fantastic and convenient! The parking is easy and the views are incredible! I'm writing this as I look out over downtown Encinitas and Moonlight Beach! The salon is light, bright, and darling! Give Laura a call for an awesome haircut, color, or style!

Max has not once but multiple times made me feel absolutely stunning and beautiful. He genuinely is one of the sweetest human beings i’ve ever met. He’s so kind, makes sure you’re all set before even starting anything and has you leaving looking and feeling amazing!!

Nice salon. Don’t see Samar unless you want to be treated poorly. Never met someone so rude. She triple books clients and speaks down to everyone. Rest of salon is nice. Never have I had worse service than Samar. She just wants to bill you and rudest ever. Uggh.

I got partial balayage and a trim done by Samar and love how it came out. Samar was able to take my appointment with short notice, and really listened to what i wanted done for my hair. Will be back for sure!

samar is the sweetest and the best person i’ve ever got my hair done by. i’m very pick when it comes to getting my hair done but i wouldn’t hesitate to let her do mine. she did such an amazing job and we were both impressed on how it turned out. with a couple more sessions we will be where we and and im so excited to have her as part of my hair journey with me❤️❤️

I will follow these hair dressers to the end of the Earth. I’m not kidding when I say that I’ve booked a flight to California to get my hair done here while living in WA. Sadie has even trained Samar and Karlee to an extent that I trust them with my blonde transition & extensions. If you need a fabulous color job this should be the only salon you visit.

Samar did an amazing job on my hair! I went there twice, once for hair keratin treatment and once for glossing and K18 treatment. she did a great job on both. my hair was feeling so soft and healthy after the keratin that my mom asked me to take her with me the next time I go and she loved her keratin treatment too. she's so nice and knowledged about different hair types and will guide you to get the best treatment for you hair. what a lovely place! so relaxing and beautiful. love the decorations there and I say it everytime I go. it's so priceless to have such a beautiful place with an ocean view and also getting a wonderful result on your hair for reasonable prices. first I found them on Groupon and now i'm a returning customer and keep going there. they always have good deals and all these options together won't even let me to try another place! idk the owner's name but thank you and Samar for this business. 🥹 can't wait to get my next hair treatment done!

Samar was amazing. She did cezanne hair treatment for me and I absolutely loved it. It last longer than previous keratin treatments I’ve done. The place was super cozy and cute, would definitely go back.

DO NOT GO HERE!!! FIND ANOTHER SALON!!! These people are not to be trusted. My hairdresser created an elaborate lie about which products she was using for my treatment, and then got caught in it. And I'm not happy. I booked in for a non-toxic Cezanne treatment SPECIFICALLY. I sat down for service and asked what she would be washing my hair with. "Cezanne," she said. I didn't see the bottles anywhere, so I started feeling uneasy. After she washed my hair with the pre-treatment formula, I asked her to show me the bottle. She said it was in the back. She went to the back and rummaged around for a while. She came back and said the other hairdresser must have thrown it away and that she didn't want to rummage through the trash. I asked the other hairdresser if she threw away the Cezanne bottle. She said "what's Cezanne?" and explained that she hadn't even been in the back. And then it all started to unravel. Oops - I actually lied when I said I washed your hair with Cezanne. Oops - we haven't had Cezanne in a long time, and used a more toxic formula on you...knowingly. Oops - we didn't even think about calling and making sure this was okay with you. Oops - I acted like I was digging in the trash to find it and tried to pin this lie on my coworker. How embarrassing! If you're headed to this salon for a Cezanne treatment, know that they don't offer that. But that they will lie to your face and tell you that they do. This is inexcusable, deplorable behavior, and this salon should be ashamed.

I would love to rate my experience at the salon, but I’ve never had such bad customer service in scheduling a hair appointment. The Instagram and Groupon sites both say to use the phone number to schedule. When I texted to ask about electronic booking service, they said I could schedule via text/phone, but then ghosted me. The main phone number does not seem to be monitored appropriately for a customer-focused business. I called 3 separate days within a week, and I never received a call back. In addition, I texted to finally receive a text message back; then, I was ghosted after I responded to one text asking what my availability was. I think the salon looks nice, but the service in scheduling an appointment is significantly lacking. I would be more understanding if the voicemail or text stated the owner is out vacationing or something, but there was no explanation to poor communication.

It is impossible to get someone on the phone. They ask to text they take a day or two to respond to your questions by text. They made me an appointment we agreed on price she cancelled last minute. They have no respect for your time. I would stay away from this kind of business. I requested keratin, color, cut and blow dry.
