I can’t say enough amazing things about Ivan Gomez! He is an absolute master of his craft, and I trust him completely with my hair. His approach is thoughtful, and he truly takes the time to understand what will work best for me. I followed him to George the Salon from his previous salon because he’s that good, and I wouldn’t go anywhere else. His talent with color is next level—he has such a great eye for what will complement my features and personal style. I always leave feeling sexy and confident. And let’s talk about his haircuts—they grow out beautifully. I still get compliments on my cut months later! If you’re looking for a stylist you can trust completely, Ivan Gomez is the one. Wow what a salon! Uber professional. I followed my fav hair “master”, Ivan, to this place. He’s amazing - I trust him completely. He both cuts and colors my hair. We recently did balayage and it’s amazing. I can’t recommend Ivan enuf!! I’d give him 10 stars!!

Paid for one of the top colorists and left with more hair damage than I have ever had- melted off a lot of my front hair. Was a nice salon but to pay 500 dollars and leave with this was disappointing (and I rarely highlight my hair so my hair was not damaged going in)

Mohammed was absolutely amazing! He had the best advice about what type of cut I should get to look my best based on my hair / features. After I left, a random woman on the street told me she loved my hair! I’m going to him from now on.

Tina killed it with mine and my bridesmaids hair at my wedding!! Every girl truly felt confident and loved their hair. She saw an inspo pic and just knew exactly what to do and do it better (and even consulted where it was most helpful). Very organized salon in terms of coordination/on time. Highly recommend!

First time at the salon and nothing but great things to say. The whole staff was very inviting and Mohammed did a great job on my hair. I gave him a few basic things I wanted and let him run with it and was very happy with the outcome. Highly recommend.

If you ever want to cheat on your hairstylist, at least make it a satisfying tryst with George (the Salon)! I have been following Mohammed Rashid all over the Gold Coast for about 15 years for his incredibly insightful, artful and expertly beautiful cuts and styles. No kidding! He has spoiled the hell out of this no-frills-tomboy. Mohammed cuts hair so that one can emerge with a new outlook on life and have confidence that your hair over the next weeks and in my case, even too many months, is going to hold up and keep looking great. He gets MY hair and he will get your hair too. I’ve seen his curly cuts and they’re game-changers! (Meagan and Nicole have graced me with a couple great glazes too.) That said, George the Salon is posh & professional and yet unpretentious. Best shampoos with head massage and all. You really get what you pay for in my opinion, or perhaps you’re ok with waiting for it to “grow out” a little. Worth the splurge!

I highly recommend Emily as a colorist. Not only did she listen to my concerns and desires, she was able to envision and implement what I was trying to express. I'm very happy with the results and will definitely be back to see her in the future!

What a great experience at George, the Salon. Top notch service on every level. From the online booking, confirmations, welcomes and services. George has truly curated the best team that represents what a luxury salon experience should be. Kenneth was my colorist, and he is not only a master at the art of color, but also one of the most nurturing, caring, and a beautiful energy that had me feeling I have sat in his chair dozens of times. A very special human! Ceclia was my stylist, and she was a true delight too and gave me an exceptional cut and blow out! Veronica helped with shampooing, and was a warm ray of sunshine too. The whole experience - A++++

Dae is my stylist and I love him! The front end staff work efficiently, Stephanie is always lovely and welcoming, and the assistants are all great. It's a bit pricey but it's worth it to me to have a place where I can go relax and leave feeling good about myself.

Absolutely adore Ken. The type of stylist you can only dream of who listens to your thoughts and works with you to achieve them. I have seen him twice now for highlights/color and throughly enjoyed every minute in that chair! The work ethic of a stylist who truly cares about what is put out and how satisfied a client is. My favorite is that it feels comfortable to be honest if I dislike something and most importantly appreciate the honesty given back. I feel like I’ve made my roots here and don’t want to go anywhere else.

The hairstylist cut really short curtain bangs that I didn’t ask for. I showed her multiple pictures with one length haircut and I told her that I want something easy to manage, but she put in a lot of short little pieces around my face which falls on my face constantly. It’s very annoying and I’m super sad that she cut so much hair off that’s going to take months to grow back. I still gave her a good tip but I won’t be coming back to this person for a haircut in the future. Be sure to watch the hairstylist as they cut your hair so you can hopefully stop them before they go rogue and mess up your hair for the next few months.

Booked an appointment for full highlights and cut after reading reviews online. Gia did a beautiful job on my color. I am naturally a dark blonde, and she somehow managed to blend the cheap brassy highlights that I had previously gotten at a different salon with fresh new foil highlights. She was meticulous to make sure everything processed equally and my blonde is perfect now. Maud gave me one of the best haircuts I’ve had in a while after only a brief chat about what I was looking for. She clearly has a lot of experience and knew exactly what my hair needed. I left the salon with beautiful hair that still looks amazing more than a week later and styling it myself. Highly recommend either of them!

First class salon! I have been going here for about a year and see Gia for color and Dae for cuts. Every time I go, it’s a consistently pleasant experience: the concierge is welcoming, coffee is good, and wait times are almost nonexistent. The salon has a modern, elegant ambiance with lots of natural light - never chaotic or clubby. Gia truly listens to me and delivers fantastic color, whether it’s a single process root touch up or a full head if highlights. Her intuition helps bring out exactly what I want, each and every time. She is also quite thoughtful and always offering me a drink, magazine, or even a blanket! Dae is an extremely talented professional and unlike any hair stylist I’ve even experienced. Not only does he deliver a flawless cut with great precision, he also explains his process to me so that I understand as well. I went to see Dae for my first appointment at George the Salon. Dae did an amazing job. I don’t know what Dae did, but no one in Chicago has ever brought out the curls in my hair and made them look so beautiful. I’ve gone to many “ top” hair dressers in Chicago and my curls looked nice ( not beautiful) and took took a lot of effort, humidity and product to style.,After Dae cut my hair, my curls were easily styled and look they way I’ve always wanted them to look. They are super cute. I am so happy. Thank you Dae. You really did a good job. I look forward to seeing you again.

Went to get a haircut for the first time with Melissa ( @melissageorgethesalon) after seeing her video on instagram of the "invisible haircut," and I was blown away. Her 27 years of experience showed as she took her time and paid attention to every detail, ensuring I was satisfied with the result. I can't believe a haircut could change my hair this dramatically, I'm so happy and will be going to Melissa for all my haircuts moving forward!
