五星是给第一次的体验。但是第二次去，只有一星。 第一次去，是一个年轻的微胖的女技师按的，按得非常专业有力度，全程没有一句话，没有被打扰，我觉得非常好，直接按睡着了。一觉起来神清气爽。值得给五星！所以隔几天又去了。 第二次，也就是今天下午，是一个中年瘦瘦的女技师按的。实话实话，按得非常差，和第一次微胖女技师的水平差得非常非常远。并且，全程在和我说话，更为不妥的是，一些话一些问题非常不合适不专业，问了很多私人问题，甚至有些话已经有些擦边的感觉了，具体的这里就不说了。让我感觉很不自在，更别说放松了。更何况，我还是和我太太一起去按的。 我相信大多数去做按摩的人，都是想去休息，放松的。不是去聊天交友的。所以让客人休息，不打扰，是很重要的一环。除非客人主动搭话，否则，请让我们休息。 其他小问题，去翻其他一星评论吧。每条都是对的。这里不复述了。 最后要再夸一句，那位年轻微胖大力女技师，按的是真的好！总之不会再去了，第二次的体验实在是令人非常失望。

If you’re looking for a good massage in Monterey Park, Garfield Spa is worth a try. This place is a great choice for anyone seeking a quality massage without paying high-end spa prices. I’ve been here twice, and my second time was with Fiona. She knows her technique and made sure the pressure was just right. I enjoyed the hot stone massage; it was relaxing. Some parts of the massage were a little painful, but all I had to do was let Fiona know, and she adjusted the pressure. The place is clean, but the walls are thin, so you’ll hear people talking. Next time I come back, I will ask for Fiona. She checked in regularly to make sure I was comfortable.

Where to start. I had an appointment but still waited past my time. The door wasn’t fully closed when she was doing my massage and I could hear people walking by which was uncomfortable. She answered the phone mid massage and I did not feel relaxed at all. And to top it off when I tipped she said I needed to tip more in her words “$10 tip” which was more than 20% gratuity to begin with and I could see her looking in my purse where I had cash. Tip is optional it is not required. I told her tip is optional and based on my experience I do not need to tip $10. I’ve never felt so disrespected and disappointed.

Honestly one of the best massages I’ve had in LA. I’m just mad I can’t recall who my massage therapist was. Because the rates are so affordable, please tip your therapist fairly aka 20% of what it might cost elsewhere.

I honestly don’t think it was great because the lady stepped on my back thinking it was okay never did they ask me if I wanted that. I was out of breath while they did that. I think it was a Horrible massage technique but they know more than me. The rest of the massage was great except that part.

I loved it here the first couple times I went. However I stopped going after two times receiving a massage that was less than satisfactory. It was later in the day. Maybe they were tired the first bad one. The second one I had that was bad was earlier in the day and the massage was subpar and felt almost chaotic like they had no clue what they were doing. I never felt relaxed after :(

I absolutely love this Spa! For those who tip $5 and nothing else, please save it for yourself. As a Massage Therapist myself, $5.00 is considered a tip of unsatisfactory. These MT’s work above and beyond, and I am so happy to be going back!!! Thank you for the amazing service.

Scheduled an appointment but waiting there for 45 minutes without any excuses . They treat people diffidently , bad service , though I paid 40% tips to each therapist . Only Fiona is good . Will not go there any more .

Great massage by Lily! I am a professional dancer & choreographer, so I deal with a lot of soreness. I left feeling light again! Even went to rehearsals and felt myself more freely moving throughout routines and pushing myself physically after having such a relieving massage !

The masseuse are very cordial and pay take notice to what muscles need more attention. My favorites are SaSa and Jenny. My wife and I have been going here for a couple of years now. Garfield Spa will continue to have our business!

3 visits all 5/5. I wish I could keep giving more 5 star reviews. One of the very few places in the area that do deep tissue right. My deep tissue massage was fantastic from start to finish. It was a combination of Swedish, deep tissue, and some stretching, but at $50/hr it’s a great value. Perfect pressure. The woman at the front and the massage therapist were so nice. The room was warm and cozy. I walked in, no appointment, and got a massage immediately. Unlike the other low budget options around here, this places feels comfortable and safe. I’ll be coming back regularly 😌 Edit: came back again and it was incredible. I got a deep tissue massage again but this time it was definitely deep tissue the whole time. I walked away feeling like I had a new body. I definitely need to rest and rehydrate following that massage. It was highly effective.

Beware! Linda will demand a minimum tips to be paid to her or she will refuse to check you out and give you a dirty look until you paid up. I think this is grossly inappropriate and that terminated an entirely pleasant experience. I will probably have 2nd thought when visiting. In service industry, gratitude should be awarded and not imposed.

I've been going to this spa with my partner for the last couple of months and by far it has been the best! I haven't found any place that had the same price for the same quality. All of the women who attended to me were very kind and it feels very comfortable to relax in. I have never felt pressured or judged, like I do in other places, to give a certain amount of tip/to act in a certain manner. They also have combination massages (which are not as hard as deep tissue) that are very cheap for what it's worth! After a deep tissue massage, they gave me water as it's been ridiculously hot and that was the cherry on top! I'll be moving soon, but am willing to take a drive to come here! 10/10 for me :)

This place is a hidden gem in Monterey Park! Very clean, cute & chic. My masseuse was a nice lady named Julie. I went in with a stiff neck & upper back after whiplash due to a car accident. The massage was very good. Julie was so carrying & kept checking to see if the pressure she was putting was OK with me. I got the 40 dollar mixed massage which includes hot stone massage. Everything was perfect. Julie helped relive the tension in my body. I’ll definitely will be coming back again. Highly recommend this place. I called to make my appointment and when I got there, I was immediately escorted to my room. This place is popular so call ahead for availability.

i have never ever felt so diappointed and down with the experience i had here. there is no big difference before and after the massage. i was really speechless with Mia. Mia is the person who did the massage for me.she was the worst massagist at all. for all the process, she didn't use any power and lazy and i didn't even wanna give her any tips at all. what's worse, she required more tips. i would never go to the place for Mia any more. very very unhappy and worst experience i had here. there is no even any difference after the massage. oh my god. i came here to relax but it ends up spending money but very unpleasant experience with Mia. and how dare she even asked for more tips..... but vicky, another massagist (who did the massage for my husband) is a really professional and good massagist. vicky is professional and my husband got relaxed after the massage.

90 min massage ($60 payed with card) was amazing!! Linda absolutely killed it, cracked my back in the first 5 minutes. Felt amazing. It is pretty intense but I had been sore so it was what I needed!!

I gave it 2 star because this place has been recently renovated, and the room is nice. But the massage was not good, me and my GF were super unpleased because we paid 40/hour expecting to get proper massage, the two ladies in their 50s were using phones and making small talks to each other, which was fine, like whatever. But they just don’t seem to apply enough pressure, like hello? Did you eat salads for your lunch?
