Horrible experience! If you want to keep the hair on your head Do Not go to this place! I went in for a wash and blow-out. I have natural hair with no chemicals. While I was getting my hair blown out the settings were very high. By the way, the young lady that was blow-drying my hair was the shampoo person. Anyways, when I looked down I saw a lot of hair on my lap and my shirt. I immediately looked at the floor and saw even more of my hair. When I questioned her she stated that they didn’t sweep up the hail from the night before. Finally, the stylist came and I told her my concerns… she stated “no mommy, your hair is ok” and then she proceeded to curl it. After she was done, I paid her and went home. Once I made it home, I ran m fingers through my hair and a large clump of hair came out. As I started brushing more hair began to fall out. I immediately called the shop but there was a communication barrier so I went back to the shop. The stylist stated that I must have had an allergy and I needed to go to the doctor! I contacted the Stated Cosmetology Board and filed a complaint. I found out that they are not licensed in Louisiana. I now have a bag full of heat broken/damaged hair. Really a sad moment for me because I have been growing my hair out for over 13 years and now I’m back to square one. Contacting my attorney as soon as possible. I wish I could post pictures to show the horrible damage! DO NOT PATRONIZE THIS PLACE!

Please American black women do not go to this lady. She is a terrible sneaky hairstylist. I went to get a silk press and she wash my hair she put perm in my hair through conditioner. I am natural and have natural hair she do not like black American women. Be careful she is an undercover devious racist. And then she can’t speak English so please don’t go to her.

Doesn’t speak english and are rude and unprofessional when having you sit and wait with no communication of style or pricing. When you try to speak to the owner she gets irritated and is too busy to accommodate you. Went in 3 times the first two times the pricing was made up at end of visit. 1st time Dominican press $50, 2nd time shampoo and large twist $50. The third time I only wanted a wash and go and I asked for pricing before the service...I was told $70 (made no sense for my money). This was in a month and a half's time. Owner was really nice on the 1st visit but the salon was also empty on the Thursday that I went in. The second visit she avoided my questions about services and pricing and was very dismissive. The third time I insisted that someone answer me so I used the translate app in which clearly showed that it wasn’t just a language barrier….but pure rudeness. She seemed even more annoyed at the idea that I she had no reason now to dismiss me. They only wanted the quick money for Dominican blowouts which is what they seem to specialize in. Anything else they don't seem to care to entertain unless you don’t mind them hiking up the price based solely on what the mood is in the moment . I really wanted to like this salon after my first visit but if you go in when they are busy you are just the money that you will be charged for your service. They are not interested in understanding the health and direction of your future hair care needs and/or journey. It's very disappointing…..just another head another quick dollar😟

I tryed calling this place and there was very bad service. I could not understand the person on the other side of the phone. I tryed asking how much box braids were, but they said "Thanks,bye" and hanged up on me. I have been looking for a place to get my hair done, and im dissaponted that I couldnt even ask how much the type of braid boxed I wanted because they hanged up.

They are extremely rough and severely damaged my hair. Think carefully before going to this butcher shop. If the owner and employees are all wearing weave or extensions, it should be a sign that you will need one when you leave. It will take me months if not years to recover. I came to this shop on Saturday June 11, 2022. The credit card machine was not working so I had to walk to the nearby bank atm to get cash. I was wearing black scrubs as I am in the medical field and left work to get a semipermanent color to cover the gray hair. Instead, permanent color was placed (I did not realize it at the time) and the woman washing my hair kept aggressively combing and brushing my wet hair. I even got up to leave with my hair wet because I was concerned about the lack of skill, technique, competence and care. It was by far the worst experience in a Dominican salon or any salon for that matter. Your response to my review is not surprising. When faced with the facts it is easier to say “fake news” than to hone your skill so you are not causing untenable damage to your clients hair. I wish you luck. I hope your skills improve.

Very pleasant and professional stylist, Estelle did a wonderful job on my hair color. I’m transitioning to natural and decided to color my hair using a bleach product, I love me results!!! Definitely going back⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
