Fernanda’s Beauty Salon is truly one of a kind. The skill, attention to detail, and the staff are always the best part. Every appointment, I feel like I’m talking to a best friend. Over the years, I’ve had appointments with Sophia, Luiza, Alexis, Fernanda and even Cris who fixed my damaged blonde hair back in 2017. After going to so many different salons over the years, Fernanda’s has always been the place the gets it right EVERY SINGLE TIME.

Yasmin saved my bangs!!! I cut my own bangs last night and it didn’t turn out how I wanted them to. I was so scared that I had messed them up, but Yasmin made them look so cute! She is also the sweetest! Will definitely come back.

Started visiting during COVID due to their policies. Now, a few years later, they haven't changed any standards. Excellent place for a guy who doesn't want a barber shop experience. Staff always friendly and you can park around the back of the building for free.

Por referência , começando fui recebida pela Sophia muito atenciosa que ofereceu um extraordinário tratamento no meu cabelo da marca Olapex , sempre procurando saber se eu estava confortável com o procedimento, logo em seguida fui atendida pela responsável do salão a própria Fernanda que responsabilidade dela sobre a coloração do meu cabelo e sempre atenta nas outras clientes tbem , aí você já vê a diferença do profissional, pelo esse cuidado dela, logo depois veio a Yasmin cuidando do meu corte e fazendo um baby liss no meu cabelo que por sua vez arrasou no corte e no penteado , meu marido e eu ficamos encantados pelo resultado da equipe do salão e pelo resultado de ver e sentir o meu cabelo não só no primeiro dia como sinto até hoje . Recomendo e estou muito grata pelo o investimento que fiz hoje para mim valeu cada centavo do começo ao fim . Ah sem contar dos snacks e bebidas que são uns uma delícia, que você tem o tempo todo durante o tratamento . Best salon ever ! My hair was so damaged and weak from using extensions for years, Sofia brought my hair back to life.not only do they have the best hair products, they treat you with so much care offering coffee, water, to snacks, and the amazing chocolate covered strawberry’s. I had my first appointment at Fernanda’s Beauty Salon, and I’m beyond impressed! I drove an hour and 20 minutes to get there, and it was absolutely worth it. From the moment I walked in, the staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. The salon’s ambiance and aesthetic were beautiful, and Fernanda herself came by to greet me and keep me updated. I only waited about five minutes before being seated, which was great. This was my first time at a Brazilian hair salon, and as a Dominican, I was initially skeptical about whether they’d know how to handle my hair. Those worries disappeared immediately! We started with a friendly and honest consultation where Fernanda explained what treatments would work for my hair and what might cause damage. I felt reassured and confident in the process. I got a balayage color, keratin treatment, and a protective hair treatment because we were bleaching my hair. The results were stunning! The salon is definitely upscale, so prices are higher than what I’m used to, but it’s worth every penny. The quality of service and results truly speak for themselves. One standout for me was the customer service. They offered snacks, coffee, and water and frequently checked in to see if I needed anything—such a thoughtful touch! What really sealed the deal for me was Fernanda’s leadership and the way she treated her staff. I noticed how polite and professional she was, always saying “please” and “thank you,” even for small tasks. It’s rare to see that level of respect, and it speaks volumes about her character and work culture. If you’re looking for a salon where you’ll feel valued as a client and as a person, Fernanda’s Beauty Salon is the place. I give it a 10/10 and highly recommend it!

I had such a blast at Fernanda’s! They have such an incredible operation at the salon. The team works together seamlessly. I’ve never had so many folks contribute at once with making me feel beautiful! From the moment I walked in (you’re seated and given your choice of beverage and an incredibly delicious chocolate covered strawberry) until the time you leave, the attention to detail and the care put into every step is truly amazing and an obvious labor of love. YASMIN⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I’ve never written a google review, so I hope that says a lot about my experience today. Long story short, I decided to cut my own bangs last night and absolutely botched them. My front pieces were initially like 8 inches long, but I ended up hacking away because I couldn’t get them even. By the end I had chopped them to like 2-3 inches. Awful. I went in today with no expectations because I knew that it was going to be a challenging fix. Yasmin validated my concern and told me she would do the best that she could to help blend my bangs. That’s exactly what she did and absolutely nailed it; I wish I had taken a before and after picture. She said that she could help me again when once my bangs grow out a bit, and also gave me extremely genuine advice about services that could treat and blend my half-natural, half-grown out bleached hair (which is incredibly damaged from a different salon). As I was leaving, I booked the suggested treatment, glaze, and next cut for January, which I’m really looking forward to. Also a “you never know what someone’s going through” side note. Without getting too personal, going out/to the salon today was a pretty big step for me, and Yasmin could not have been more welcoming, personable, and professional. I had a great experience and truly appreciated every aspect of my appointment today.

As a long term client of Fernandas I must absolutely recommend Estela for any and all services! I must leave her a review for all to know. Estela is so attentive, thoughtful and HONEST with your hair from the first assessment. I have been seeing Estela for years and my experience at the salon always gets better and better- with their newest addition to the massage chairs to their array of drinks and snacks, it has always been a pleasure to come to Fernanda’s. Even my youngest daughter enjoys our time here. Estela is so skilled and has put her talent to great use with my hair. I always obtain a positive transformation with Estela. She takes the time to get to know me as a client and my preferences, and is very thorough with every step that she takes throughout my appointment. I may never change my stylist as I have grown to trust her fully with my hair for any coloring, specifically balayages, partials, low lights, haircuts, blowdries, and even keratins! If you are unsure or even overprotective about your hair. You must book with Estela. You’ll be in good hands. My confidence has grown tremendously working with Estela and I just love that she always available for questions and cancellations. I got a wash, cut and blow dry in addition to an Olaplex treatment and I have never loved my hair this much! Fernanda really took the time to understand what I wanted. I had some really horrible experiences with hair dressers in Boston in the past, and this was a breath of fresh air! I am in love with my hair and am so thankful for the care instructions that Fernanda gave me. The girls in the salon are all amazing, especially Luisa who is so kind! It is definitely on the pricier side, but SO worth it. I can’t wait to come back.

I had such an amazing experience at Fernanda's Beauty Salon! I came in for a keratin treatment after researching salons in the Cambridge/Somerville area. I was immediately greeted with coffee, tea, water (still and sparkling!) and very friendly employees. I had to wait maybe 10 minutes past my appointment time but the staff was very apologetic and offered more coffee while I waited. When my appointment began, they started by washing my hair and instead of the traditional chairs that hurt your neck they had FULL BODY MASSAGE chairs! Yasmin worked magic on the keratin treatment and was so friendly and knowledgeable, and kept asking me if I wanted a refill on my coffee! The receptionist also walked by with free snacks as well. I cannot believe the level of service here. Fernanda, the owner, came by and apologized again for the delay, which again, was no more than 10-15 minutes. And, when I was checking out at the end, she gave me a complimentary shampoo to show appreciation for my patience. Again, the customer service here is outstanding and my hair looks great. The prices here are pretty high, and my keratin treatment was significantly more than other salons but for the service they provide it's definitely worth it.

I have done two keratin treatments with Luiza and both were fantastic! I have naturally curly hair (very) and the treatment calms my hair down and makes it way more manageable for every day life. Hardly any tangles which means when I brush it out in the shower I don’t lose so much hair. The salon experience is amazing and you get pampered with a massage chair, sparkling water, and fancy chocolate covered strawberries!

I was helped by Luisa, Fernanda, and Yasmin. I initially reviewed this place happy with the results, but after a few weeks, the blue hair is a nightmare. It stains everything- the porcelain whenever I take a shower, any towels I want to use, especially my skin, ears, earrings, and hands. It is also making my skin get red blotches and itch. They NEVER explained to me that blue was a high maintenance color. The blue has transitioned to a lot darker (see additional pictures in the LIGHT and in the dark) due to the blue shampoo they made me buy for $20+. They also kept pressuring me to spend $40 for something they said I need if I’m bleaching my hair, but it didn’t make any difference. I’m unhappy because I started off with black hair, and they completely stripped/bleached it off it’s black color, so the dyed hair only being a few shades less than my original hair is not worth $700+. I initially wanted to go platinum blonde and they would not let me. For something this expensive I should be at least a little bit happy, but I am not. They reached out to me and wanted to schedule a follow up appointment to change it- which was $380-440, but after spending $700+, I don’t have that kind of money.

I’ve been going to Fernanda’s for 6+ years and I cannot rave enough about the overall salon experience, the high quality products they use, and most importantly the talented, professional and friendly staff. Estela is so professional and kind. There are so many thoughtful touches like delicious snacks, warm scented hand towels, massage chairs, branded robes and plastic covers for your glasses! Fernanda’s never fails to exceed my hair expectations! If you are looking for a new salon, be sure to give Fernanda’s a try.

fernanda (the owner) botched my haircut and blamed it on the amount of baby hair i had? she legit cut a chunk out of the top of my head in attempt to cut my bangs … which she has done before …never spending my money here again and now i have a random chunk of hair missing from the top of my head. AND i spent over $200 here. multiple times. ridiculous.
