Was apprehensive about trying a new hair place but came in and saw Rachel for a cut today and she was amazing! She will listen to you and do exactly what you ask for. Couldn’t be happier to have found her for all my future needs!

*From one teenager to another, or any parent of one, DO NOT get your haircut here, especially if you are a man.* You pay for what you get. I've had multiple bad experiences here throughout the years, but my cut yesterday took the spot as the worst yet. I'm 17 and have been going here since I was 7 or 8; it will definitely be my last visit from here on out. From being told I was a 'scary client' from a staff member when I was in 8th grade to today receiving an uneven near-buzz cut after asking for hair (with photos AND a 1-2 minute talk beforehand) 2-3 inches longer. Unless you find the perfect person for you, you will NOT get consistent good service. If you are a parent wanting to take your kids here, as a minor myself, DO NOT take your little boy or girl here. I have never liked a haircut from this place besides when a stylist named Dorothy worked here. Real styling means a real barber to take care of you! This is the last time I will allow anybody to take me somewhere like this, and I hope no one has to go through the hair problems I've received from this place along with the other chains like Supercuts and more.

Awful the last time I was there the stylist video me because she was extremely late for my appointment. She was not nice at all to me because I complained about her lateness.

I will never come back again, terrible experience, I showed the pictures that what I want to hairstylist Kim, She didn't take it seriously at all. I repeatedly confirmed with her the length I wanted to cut. She ended up cutting me really short. But I still left her a $7 tip. Although I don't think she deserves it. Nice try though:)

My hair looks great! Kim gave me highlights and when I felt I needed more, she was very pleasant and said, c’mon back and let’s make sure you’re happy! Kim is very positive, kind and upbeat. She is also a perfectionist. She will do her absolute best to make the client feel great about their hair!

My son just had a cut there today what a mess there made the lady used thinning scissors to cut his entire hair he was so upset even our neighbor who owns a salon said it was the worst cut she had ever seen this is what happens when you get people who don't know what they doing we both won't be going back again and they even charge you to leave a tip what a joke

Extremely disappointed in this place. Terrible customer service. As soon as I walked in I was instantly judged because I’m not an old man or old woman with short hair. I had medium length hair, already came with freshly washed still wet hair to make it easier for them, didn’t get asked how I was doing or any of the normal conversations like every single other stylist was asking their customers. A simple layer cut with some shaggyness to it was all I wanted. My stylist kept shrugging her shoulders whenever I tried explaining what I wanted or whenever I kept asking for layers because she only gave me a trim at first and still kept shrugging her shoulders like it was such inconvenience for her. I still tipped because I don’t judge and maybe she was having an off day, but maybe work better on the customer service here if you rely on tips. I’ll be going to Supercuts from now on because at least they don’t shrug their shoulders at me and they actually greet me when I walk in.

Fantastic Sams has been my -favorite- hair place since I was kid, and I've always had a positive experience no matter where in the country I've visited one of their salons. I've never had major issues with cuts or colors, but this particular salon was an exception.  That being said, I'm still very grateful for the kind and understanding service that the staff provided during my second visit. I had two appointments within 24 hours; the first was to get a haircut and partial balayage. The haircut was great, and I had no issues with it, but the balayage was a different story. I had showed the stylist pictures of the color I had wanted (I have darker brown hair and had wanted a subtle but still slightly noticeable cherry-chocolate/dark caramel color put in), I had told her multiple times that I wanted the color to be subtle, and I had picked out a darker color swatch for the dye color. Once the dye was set, rinsed, and dried, the color appeared a lighter and brighter color than we'd discussed, but in the salon's lighting, it didn't look crazy bright, and I figured I could roll with it. Fast forward to when I got home and took some pictures of my hair to show someone. My hair, both in natural light, and in the various warmly and coolly lit rooms in my house, appeared nearly orange, and most of my head had a very visible line of demarcation with little blending (see the first photo). So I made a second appointment the next day in hopes of getting the color corrected. I explained the situation to the staff, showed the new stylist the pictures I had shown the first stylist, and she was very understanding and happy to help. She was able to correct the color (see second picture), and fix a few of the poorly blended areas from the first job, and the salon charged nothing for the fix, which was -extremely- appreciated. I noticed after getting home though that on half of my head, the color was still not blended well and there was still a clear line of demarcation (see third picture). So, overall, my experiences were a mixed bag. $225 in services and $50 in tips later, my color still isn't quite up to par, which is disappointing. I definitely wouldn't go back here for color services, but for haircuts and friendly staff, it's not a bad choice.

Kia takes care of my hair as well as my daughter's. She is SO GOOD at doing our highlights, layered cuts and then styling it. As long as Kia is here, we will be, too!

This is an update as of May 2024: I have been growing my hair out from the pixie cut to shoulder length now. My previous stylist left (Anna) said she was quitting & moving out of state. I immediately started freaking out about who was going to do a good color after Anna left Fantastic Sams. Before Anna left, she said she thought I would like Kia. I scheduled an appointment & she colored my hair dark brown on the roots and highlighted it dark red. My hair was beautiful when she finished! She also waxes my eyebrows. I have been going to Kia about 2 years now & I will not go to anyone else. She has a wonderful eye on color and does an amazing cut. She will listen to you and make sure you are happy. I think she is off work Mondays & Wednesdays. I highly recommend Fantastic Sams for the great price, cleanliness, friendly staff and how they make me look & feel when I am there! —————————————————————————— Previous review 2021: I just moved to Florida from Ohio and I have a shorter hair cut. I am very particular about my hair and was so worried about finding a stylist that would do as good as my stylist back in Ohio that I had for over 10 years. I read reviews online about Anna at this salon & she has great reviews! I thought I would try her. She immediately started taking notes of what I was wanting which I really liked. She cut my hair perfectly! She even thinned it out with the thinning shears just how I like it! I didn’t have her color it but I did make an appointment for her to cut & color my hair in 4 weeks. She is for sure my new Florida stylist! The salon was clean & I didn’t have to wait (I made an appointment ahead of time.) Highly recommend this salon & Anna!

Uneven from EVERYWHERE, looks horribly cut and choppy, front strands way too thick and not even the same on both sides. didn’t get what I even asked for, and now I have to go to another place so they can fix my hair after it was completely ruined here.

Megan was fantastic! She was very sweet the entire time and made my very thick very long hair look and feel beautiful. She wasn’t pushy and didn’t make me feel forced to talk but made light conversation that helped me feel comfortable. I definitely will be going back to Megan in the future!

Rachel is absolutely amazing! She takes time to go over your vision and makes sure you are heard with what you want! She follows your cues while working, you want a silent hair appointment, she will make sure you’re comfortable and relax. You want to talk about life, she will listen and keep a conversation going. She always styles your hair and lets you know what products she uses to recreate the look at home. After every appointment I feel like a brand-new, refreshed and beautiful woman. I couldn’t recommend her enough!

Would never trust any with my hair more than I do Rachel. When I first came to her with horribly damaged bleached hair she worked with me to get exactly where I wanted my hair to be from color to cut. Skip a few years and I’d never go to anyone else. She also cuts my 5 year old son’s hair & gives it the time and patience required. 10/10 recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
