I came in two weeks ago on sunday to get a haircut and ended up waiting an hour just to be told I would have to wait another hour so I had to leave because I had plans. So I rescheduled for the following Wednesday just to show up to nobody being there at 3pm and the shop being closed. So once again I rescheduled for 10 am today and again there was nobody there. The website said it was open and that multiple stylists should've been there. This is 3 separate times that I had to go just to not be able to get a haircut. I'm not sure if everybody quit 3 days after the day I originally tried to get a haircut but there's no notice of it on the building, website, or anywhere and it still allows bookings.

This happened twice hence I thought it’s time to review it here…their online system showed an availability in 5 minutes with 2 of their stylists to choose from. When I check in online and go there, both their stylists are occupied and 2 more customers waiting for their turn. I asked about it and their response is - “we can’t fix our online system”. If I own a franchise, I would at least train my employees on how to talk/respond to customers, to begin with.

I called out of the blue trying to find someone who could save me Carlos answered the phone I explained to him I needed a miracle he worked me in the same day and fixed my color and gave me life back to my hair with a new hair cut I highly recommend him he is my go to now forsure

I went in for a haircut a couple weeks ago (with Sam, the owner) and had a good experience so I asked if they do hairstyling and she said yes. I showed her a reference picture & video and was told the style was super easy and I did not need to do a trail beforehand so I scheduled with her to return a week later. Day of my appointment, I walk in my appointment with Sam (as she had been the only person I had communicated with for this appointment). Instead I am greeted by a completely different stylist, Carlos. He spent an hour trying to braid ONE side of my hair before ultimately giving up. He then tried to “fix it” by doing some kind of another updo but there was no saving my hair at that point. It was nothing like what I wanted and I did not have any more time to waste! I went to a “specialist” because I trusted they knew what they were doing and I wanted my hair to look good for my small wedding ceremony. Instead I walked out with my hair looking far worse than it did when I walked in! I have gone here for haircuts in the past but I will not be returning in future.

6-16-23 Update: Everything went well when I arrived for my appointment! Jordan did a great job and I left feeling cute :-) I felt bad for another guy who arrived for his appointment but it hadn't been accepted. He was able to get service but had to wait as there was only one tech working at the time. I'm increasing my original rating because the owner put forth effort on my behalf and that matters. The appointment system still needs follow through though. It shouldn't be this hard to get a haircut. 6-15-23 Update: At 12:33pm I received a text and an email confirming my appointment for tomorrow. I appreciate the person who took action to resolve this for me. Thank you! 6-15-23 Update: The owner of the Ballantyne store offered me an apology explaining that there was new management. In the interest of fairness I waited a week and made another appointment for 10 days later (June 16 ) because that was the earliest day available. I watched email for a confirmation and received none. I checked the website and it says my appointment is pending store confirmation. I called at 10am to discuss but no one answered. The owner might care about customer service but the person responsible for appointments sure doesn't. My 2nd disappointing visit in a row to a Fantastic Sam's. I made an appointment on Friday for Sunday, especially for Jordan. He fixed an awful cut for me in the past so I trust his skills. But after my move, it's an hour drive to the Ballantyne location (2 hrs round trip). I decided it would be worth it to feel confident about my most recent disastrous cut (courtesy of the FS in Denver). I arrived a little early and checked in. There were plenty of people so I was glad I thought ahead and made an appointment. I checked in and offered to wait in my car. A few minutes later the woman who checked me in came to my car to tell me that there was at least a 90 min wait. I mentioned my appointment but she said she had just accepted it when I walked in and that he was already booked for the day. They closed in 2 hours but I could wait behind everyone in the lobby and maybe there would be enough time remaining to take care of me. I politely declined. That's the 2nd time I made an appointment for FS that wasn't honored. Last time I pushed the issue and she butchered my hair. This time I just left having decided I'm done with FS. At least this time it was only 2 wasted hours of driving. If FS isn't going to honor appointments then don't offer them. Also if you're going to decline the appointment do it timely, NOT days later while I'm standing there.

Ever since there has been new management I have seen a tremendous turn around. Jessica is AMAZING! I always enjoy my trip to the salon. Not only am I getting the hair color and cut that I asked for but we have great talks and lots of laughter. She is exactly what the salon needed.

My daughter and I had such a wonderful experience here. Monica the manager, worked on both of our hair and was so nice and patient. She helped me pick a new hairstyle and color look and paid so much attention to detail. She also was so kind and patient with my daughter and made her feel right at home. Why to take an appointment? I am a regular customer and took appointment for a hair cut, reached in time, waited for 30 minutes and was told to wait for another 30 minute. What! Was also told that there is one more person ahead of me? It was only after some arguments, another stylist came to tale care of the hair cut. What a mess!!!

Hours on the door should match those on Google Maps and website. What a waste of my time and gas to drive 30 minutes only to find out you guys are closed all day on Wednesday and Thursday …. But from reading the other reviews maybe it’s a good thing that you guys were closed!

I am a regular customer to this facility. I Walked in on Sunday , I have been told that only on appointment allowed, so took appointment for Monday with the stylist. Again on Monday, when we walked in there for appointment time, they were not able to handle my cut and asked me to do with other stylist or reschedule. I expect minimum courtesy call 30 mins ahead so that I don't need to waste my time driving there. I have very bad experience last time with other stylist. it was very rough haircut, scissor was pulling my hair hard, so as my son complained. Wil not go there at all!!

Please don't go to Jenna...as she chooses her clients who she wants to service and will tell you all her appointments are booked when it is not. More of a reckless...I don't care attitude. My question is why you even a hair stylist then? The worst hair salon service I have ever been to and when you ask to speak to the owner or franchisee to address issues ...the stylist are just giving you wrong numbers to call to. In today's time everyone needs business and fantastic sams is surely blowing it away in Charlotte, NC.

Went in for an appointment and there were two people working and i was told to wait. The place reeked of cigarettes and was dirty. I know this is a fantastic sams, but my gosh this was one of the worst i have seen. I didn’t even stay for my appointment. I left.

When I booked my appointment, it was days prior & was even accepted, got my confirmation email and everything. The day I got there, it was around 2:15 and my appt was at 2:30. The place was closed even though it said it was open. Waste of my time. They need to be more professional and organized about how they do things. At least a call would’ve been good to let me know if there was some sort of issue and had to reschedule my appt. Very disappointed..
