So relaxing...I actually escaped and slept great!

Escape is one of, if not the best, spa in nashville. The massages are always amazing. Their relaxation/meditation spaces are so peaceful. And i love the soaking tub. A few minor improvements could be made to make it even better: there is only one bathroom stall in the ladies' changing room. If you prefer modesty to change, there really isn't anything you can do but turn to face the wall. The sandals they give aren't the most comfortable to walk around in.

Have gotten good to excellent haircuts every time except for this time. But this was so atrocious that it shouldn't even be a possibility when paying for a $100 haircut. Asked for the hair to be right up to my shoulders and somehow got a bowl-cut bob that is three inches above my shoulders. She had already cut the back criminally short so too late to say anything. She didn't even ask if I liked it at the end because she knew it was bad. The whole point of paying more is to cut out the risk of having to spend months growing out a really horrendous cut. I went to Great Clips in high school and even they didn't mess me up THIS bad

It was a good experience, I dozed off a couple of times as Rachel worked her magic. Definitely be checking it out again💗

Hidden gem. Peaceful area for spa services. Great pricing compared to their places. Staff was great.

This is my favorite spa. I go here for massages. One thing I will say is that it’s extremely weird they train the front desk workers to ask customers if they want to tip… like could you all stop asking if I want to tip people? It’s weird. Really really weird. I’ve been coming here since a teenager with my mom and every single time the front desk worker always asked “do you want to add a tip?”… do you all not pay your employees enough that they have to rely on tips like they work at Red Robin or Waffle House?

Horrible experience and customer service! DO NOT bother booking here, there are so many other day spa's that I'd recommend 10 fold over Esacpe Day Spa. Woodhouse is nashville and franklin are amazing, as well as A Moments Peace in Cool Springs. If you have to cancel within 48 hours they charge the full amount of service.

Horrible management skills. A manager named Heather? helped me set up my 1 year wedding anniversary and let me down by not scheduling me for the package I scheduled for. Never ever going back here ever again. Be aware when dealing with this manager!

I was very excited for my 1 Year wedding anniversary, my husband spoke to Heather the MANAGER of the place who never said we were scheduled for only a partial package that he requested for an appointment. I liked two of the workers i spoke with but I wont be going back to this place ever again while this manager is here. Please be aware when speaking with her!!

I have traveled and seen my fair share of day spas. My sis is a massage therapist in Nashville and gifts $200 certificates to Escape Day Spa to her loyal upscale clients. She gifted me a $200 card. I filled out Escape Day Spa online form and selected a 2 hour therapeutic massage for $260. When I submitted the form, there was a message that said that the spa would call me to confirm my appt. The following morning, the spa called and scheduled me. I showed up early, changed into my robe and was lead to my massage room by the therapist, passing by a tacky display of mediocre decor. Upon reaching the room exactly at the time my appointment began, the therapist then said I was booked for a one hour massage. I told him there was a mistake and that I booked 2 hrs. He said there was no way he could do two hours. Mind you, this entire exchange and him having to go check the schedule was eating into my massage time, so I did the one hour, planning to return for the second hour at another date. The massage was ended just before the one hour mark, which means that I actually received about 50 minutes of massage. Upon checking out, they charged me $155. I explained to them that I booked a 2 hour at the $260 price and that they dropped the ball on scheduling me correctly which resulted in me paying an extra $20 per hour for my massage. Their response to me was a suggestion not to tip the massage therapist. They made a phone call to a manager and asked me to tell the story like 3 times and during 2 of the 3 times, they suggested to me that the solution was to not tip the therapist even though it was the office girls that screwed up. Todd was my massage therapist. He is strong with great pressure. I wonder if he knows that the company is placating customers with his tip money. I will never be back and I have told my sister to find another spa to send her bougie clients to. If I could give less than 1 star, I would.

I was really excited to gift this spa experience to my sister. I wanted to spoil her for all her efforts in helping and supporting me during the last stretch of my first pregnancy. I told her to book ahead just because I had never been to this spa and didn't know what to expect myself. She booked online for 120 minutes. Then recieved a call the day of to set up a more definitive time to come in. She arrived and was told that they only have time to give an hour massage after she was already undressed. She reluctantly agreed to the time change, even though she had requested 2 hours. After her massage and coming time to pay, she finds out that they charge SIGNIFICANTLY MORE for an hour than they do a 120 minute!! When she confronted this fact, they didn't care, I am sure a gift card makes them less motivated to give adequate customer service... they said there was nothing they could do about it... Guys. I am sorry, but if you book one thing and get told to come in at a certain time for that thing you booked, and then get told that they can do the service but for shorter time... it should have been expressed from the scheduler about the price change and should be given the option to rebook for what was originally wanted BEFORE she gets to the back. An extra 60 minutes can make all the difference in massage therapy. And with that said, my sister said the massage was just okay!! I practically view this as a BAIT and SWITCH. If they knew they only had hour slots, and led her to believe that she was getting 120 minutes when they scheduled the time for her to come in, they conned her into getting a service she originally didn't want, that was also more expensive ($155 for 60m vs $260 for 120m, in ratio to time/cost of service, not to mention, its not even the full time as they take the time for you to get ready and onto the table out of your massage time). There wasn't any communication about the changes and then they pretty much shrugged her off when she realized what happened. The spas quick solution was to NOT TIP the THERAPIST and they mentioned that a couple times.... I wonder how the therapist would feel knowing that the spa they dedicate their energy to, throws them under the bus to take the finacial hit instead of them.... I am honestly so disappointed in escape day spa. There is an air of entitlement for a place that is supposed to provide relaxation and peace of mind but instead provides an incomplete experience that lacks refinement and connection with the client. I am a massage therapist/body worker myself and I am appalled by the treatment of customers that this "high end" spa gives. Additionally, for the people who lack resources but decide to invest in themselves by attending this day spa, it's a big deal to make sure that their experience is wonderful, WORTH THE MONEY and that they get what they want. All of this could have been avoided by the receptionist scheduling the appointment. She didn't look at the original online service request before scheduling and confirming the appointment with the client. She also failed to state the length of service to the client upon check-in. So, I end my complaint with, never will I ever suggest this spa to anyone whom I associate with. I get tons of referrals and when I am booked full (cause I actually care about clients and their needs), I refer them to this spa for the spa experience (one of my clients said they were decent and that they go to EDS when I am not available, so I went ahead and blindly marketed for them....) and then to a private practice of someone I trust for therapeutic work if thats what they are searching for.... Well, escape day spa is crossed off my list. There are smaller day spas out there that give better quality. I'll explore and suggest them personally for my future clients.

It can be stressful when selecting a new colorist, but I hit the jackpot at Escape Spa and Salon. I booked a first time appointment today with Grace (my first time ever at Escape Spa & Salon) and was so impressed and delighted with Grace and the end result hair color! Grace was professional, asked all the right questions and put me at ease immediately while getting "right to work"! Especially nice was the very relaxing scalp massage I received while at the shampoo bowl, which by the way was very comfortable. I initially spoke with Heather at reception to book my appointment, and Heather was cheerful, helpful and very polite while trying to fit me in same day......success!!! Thank you Heather and Grace..... you made my day! I will be back and will definitely recommend you! Kim Stevens Trull Woodhouse Day Spa Nashville, Owner

TL;DR: Paid for premium spa experience (couples massage & salt soak) only to be forgotten about and unable to do the salt soak as they had to close. Requested 2 female masseuses and got a male. Overall massages were good, but left disappointed. We were excited to celebrate our 5-year anniversary with a couples massage and salt soak, but the experience was disappointing. Despite requesting two female masseuses, they assigned a male therapist for my wife, which made her uncomfortable due to his scratchy arm hair. Outside of that, the massages were good! The facility was nice and clean. However, after our massages, we waited 45 minutes for our salt soak only to find out they had completely forgotten about it. They were closing soon and couldn't accommodate the service, offering a future complimentary soak instead, which felt like too little, too late. Our booking email confirmation clearly stated couples massage & salt soak, but then the staff said the salt soak was never recorded. While they only charged us for the massages, the overall service fell short of expectations. Given the issues, we won’t be returning, despite the nice facility. Lastly, we felt uncomfortable from the start when the check-in staff was looking us up and down when giving us a tour.

I love Escape Day Spa. Always excellent service, always classy. Rachel was my LMT, she was superb.

Rachel gives the best facials I have ever had. She has the hands of an angel and knows just what my skin needs. My facial today was amazing!

Escape Day Spa is known for the Spa but have you ever had the salon experience? I gathered up the nerve to make an appointment for a highlight and cut for my upcoming wedding. Granted, I’m 50+ years old and haven’t been to a salon in 18 years. Yes, I do my own hair due to time and money. I showed Grace the pictures of my wishes AND SHE NAILED IT!!! I actually teared up when I saw the final image of myself in the mirror. Her personality is natural and easy going She gives you peace of mind, especially when you’re “scared” of the outcome. My friends and family are in awe of my hair! I recommend Escape Day Spa for their salon services! Grace was AMAZING! Can’t wait to have me and my girls visit for a spa day!

I've always had positive experiences until now. Recently, I gifted my mother a Swedish massage, hoping to treat her to the same relaxation I've enjoyed in the past. However, her visit alone turned into a regrettable ordeal due to the lack of professionalism and courtesy displayed by the staff. Upon entering the spa, my mother was met with indifference; no one bothered to acknowledge her presence or assist with the check-in process. The receptionist and other staff members seemed disinterested and gave her unwelcoming stares, making her feel out of place and uncomfortable. It's disheartening to see a place that once provided exceptional service fail to uphold its standards. As someone who has recommended Escape Day Spa to friends and family in the past, I am deeply disappointed by this turn of events. I hope the management takes this feedback seriously and implements measures to ensure that all guests receive the respect and hospitality they deserve.

The Spa day was phenomenal and the staff were well-informed. My fiancé and I had put a deposit of 50% for a couples escape, featuring massages and a facial with lunch. However our bill toward the end was far above the amount quoted for us online (290 per person). The experience was worthwhile, but we wish we were informed that items like the facials were not included in the final cost. We were told over the phone that we had paid for 50%; make sure when you call in, you confirm every detail so you know what is paid for and what is extra. If it weren’t for that, I would rate the Escape a 5 out of 5 stars.

This place was amazing. I treated myself to the full day package and they made it absolutely perfect. Full body massage, facial, a soak and a body scrub, and lunch! All of the services were amazing, Gail was so sweet and informative about facials and skincare. Rachel did the body scrub and that just may have been my favorite part. You get a nice warm shower at the same time! 10/10, awesome experience

Arrived at 2:02pm for my 2:15 pm appointment, receptionist couldn't find me on the schedule at first. Lunch was provided, but was not ready. I filled out two forms, one for the massage and one for the facial. I was being walked to the elevator, we were in the elevator, when a receptionist informed the lady that, "I had lunch, but that it wasn't ready yet. The lady was a bit confused and said she'd take me down to get robed and bring me back up for my lunch. I changed, went back upstairs. In the lunch room, there was still a plate from someone else's lunch. The lady apologized and cleared the plate and table. I waited for my lunch, it was a mixed greens salad with chicken. The chicken was seasoned but dry, a bit tough on the outside. Finished lunch, massage was scheduled for 3:15pm. Went back downstairs and enjoyed a little quiet time before I was called for my massage. To my surprise, the masseuse pronounced my name correctedly. Guess it helps that he speaks Spanish. We laughed about the different ways my name has been pronounced. Great massage, no rushing and enjoyed talking about different cultures and the foods we eat. Arroz con gandules! Lol. Cucumber water was very refreshing, have to remember to add it to my water. Don't remember ever enjoying water so much. Facial was lovely, dermaplaning was not on the program, but glad I had it done. Everything was very pleasant, minus a couple extractions. Was very happy to have had a gift card, took a couple of tries to get booked, but glad I was able to go. Thank you.

Escape Day Spa is my FAVORITE Spa! It is SO beautiful, relaxing, and peaceful! I enjoy every visit. It is definitely part of my Self Care routine.

Nice place but had been told by the front desk that gift cards did not expire, so I made sure to savor mine. Well the gift cards do expire and mine are now useless. Very disappointed and won’t be back. Though I’ve only been here a few times the place seemed too dark and it made me feel uncomfortable.

Rosie did my friend’s and mine Dermaplaning. She did a great job and made the experience very relaxing.

Very nice facility. I enjoyed a WONDERFUL massage from ANDREA & relaxed in the quiet lounge with waters & lemon ginger tea before heading to steam room for a detox.

Great and relaxing 90 min massage! Only complaint is that the steam room was closed and that’s part of the experience for me

Great experience for a couples massage for my husband and I! Both of our massage therapist were wonderful!

Feb 05, 2024

I visited Escape Spa on January 2nd for a 6pm appointment, eagerly anticipating a deep tissue massage to ease the stress from my frequent workouts. Unfortunately, the experience fell short of my expectations. Upon arrival, I reiterated my preference for a deep tissue massage, both over the phone and to my massage therapist, John. John, who wore a glove due to a burned hand, assured me he would attempt to apply the necessary pressure. Despite these assurances, the massage I received was more of a gentle, relaxing type with minimal pressure. This was disappointing, especially considering my specific request and anticipation for a deep tissue massage. I appreciate the need for care and caution due to the therapist's injury, but I was disheartened that the spa assigned a therapist unable to meet the demands of a deep tissue massage to my appointment. I reported my concerns to the front desk, where a polite young lady informed me that the manager had left for the day but promised a follow-up call. This call never came, prompting me to reach out again on Saturday. The manager, Heather, offered a $10 to $25 discount for my next visit, which felt insufficient given the situation. On a positive note, the soak part of my visit was enjoyable. However, overall, the experience was underwhelming, particularly since I was looking forward to starting the new year with a rejuvenating spa experience. I hope Escape Spa takes this feedback to improve their service alignment and customer communication in the future.

I went in a few weeks ago to get some products. When I got home, I realized the face mask I purchased had expired the previous month. I called to let them know about it so another customer wouldn't have a similar experience. When I got around to returning, because I live on the other side of town, I told the ladies at the front desk what I was doing and grabbed another off the shelf. It was expired, too. I let the ladies know again that they had expired product on their shelf, and she said to me that the product is still good six months after it expires. This is not what I would expect from a high-end spa. It makes me never want to trust them again with products or get a facial.

Loved it! I got a gift card for Christmas. I’m pretty loyal to my masseuse but didn’t want my gift card to go to waste. So glad I took a chance! My massage with Diana was possibly the best I’ve ever had. I’m a trail runner and I’m often bruised and beat up so I need a therapeutic massage that’s gentle but effective. She listened to my concerns and really helped me feel relaxed! I felt great after! I had a wonderful facial following my massage as well! It’s just a very relaxing and clean environment. I love the locker room with a safe place to leave my stuff including my phone. I felt like I could really escape the real world and stresses on the outside. The spa is in the basement which helped me physically be able to leave my stress upstairs. I’ll definitely be back! (Don’t tell my other masseuse!)

My wife booked us a couples massage and soak for my Birthday this month. We haven't been to a spa since 2017 at Ashford Castle in Ireland so our expectations were set very high. Escape delivered on all levels. We were welcomed promptly and shown all the areas. After changing into our robes we enjoyed some of the amenities and hydrated with the free delecious water selection at the Spa. Our Massage was amazing. The masseuse listened to me and delivered everything I requested. The soak after was perfect. We can't wait to go back

There is mold and dust everywhere. Really gone downhill. The owner is also very rude.
