El Teca is the best barber shop in the area and it’s not close. The store is clean and always has good music going. The barbers are amazing. Chino goes above and beyond and always gives an amazing haircut. 10/10 highly recommend

Gabriel gave the best haircut I’ve had in my life today! I spent 11 years in the Marines and got weekly fade haircuts from many different barbers, and none were as good as this one. Highly recommend El Teca, I’ll be back.

I brought my son to El Teca to get ready for his senior photos. Chino washed, cut, styled his hair, shaped/trimmed his eyebrows and shaved his face. My son looked FANTASTIC!

Gone a couple times now and they do a great job. I brought my 5 year old, 9 year old and 14 year old and they all love their haircuts. We will keep going back!!

Cut was good but I got up charged, website said up to 35 for a normal hair cut, never been charged more than that before for the same cut I’ve always been getting, most recent visit I got charged 50. Crazy

You know it’s had to find a good barber anywhere. So when I found these guys I tried them on a whim. It worked out I found a place closer to home. Chino has done my hair from day one. Does a great job on the flat top, tries to sing to the music but thank God he’s better at cutting hair. One thing tho that bugs me is he takes personal phone calls while cutting my hair. That’s why he gets a 4 rating otherwise he’s top notch. If the phone calls don’t bother you, then come and get an awesome hair cut here you’ll be happy with it for sure

IT IS WORTH IT! Guys if you live in Big Lake or the surrounding area and you need to find THE PLACE this is it. The whole team was super professional and treated me with respect even though I had no idea what I was wanting when I walked in. Also if you need to set up an appointment ask for Gabriel he will take great care of you!

My boys and I walked into this place. No one greeted us. I walked past two barbers before asking if I had an appointment. One of the barbers was sitting there on his phone with a disgusted look on his face, like he didn't want to cut our hair. I had made an appointment and put in the notes that I had two boys who needed haircuts. The guy said he could only do one because I had only made one appointment. As we were talking, a lady with two boys walked in, and the guy turned and ran to them with a greeting and loyalty. My boys and I were looked at as if we didn't belong. The point of this is that they don't cater to black people. We didn't get cuts either.

Best fades in town is an accurate slogan 👌🏼 Gabriel and Javier have both gave me an excellent haircut and beard trim and I will likely come every month for the rest of my life. Very friendly and fun place with great service and pricing

I’ve had my hair cut here before and Gabriel always cleaned up in between cuts. Today the barber Javier didn’t clean up and had me sit in his seat and I realized it is covered in someone else’s hair so I asked him to please clean it and he acted like he can’t speak English and we live in America. I’m Mexican American and I speak English and find it disrespectful when you don’t. I find it even more disrespectful and disgusting to not clean up after you cut someone’s hair. NOT 1 BARBER SPEAKS ENGLISH AND THAT IS A PROBLEM. I’d never come back and it is a shame because they give good haircuts. For me I expect hospitality and quality service and when you don’t speak the language you can’t provide that.

I love this place. Oscar has done a phenomenal job growing his business, and he's done it by having the best talent around. Chino is my guy. I won't let anyone else touch my beard. I've been going here for 2 years and have always exceeded my expectations. Make sure you make a reservation at least a week in advance. They stay busy.

The shop has an old-school barbershop vibe but with all the modern conveniences. Gabriel gave me what is probably one of the sharpest haircuts and beard trims that I've ever had. Will be coming back!

Easily the top 3 best haircuts of my life!!! Gabriel hooked it up! The barbershop is clean and lively, great music always playing! Big screen TV's and comfortable barber chairs! If you have a beard, don't go anywhere else, top notch!!

El Teca it's a great place. I've had Jose, Javier, and Oscar now. They've all done an excellent job for me and my little boy. I have to say that Oscar is phenomenal. He just goes above and beyond and it's more than just during the haircut (which is outstanding and I could literally fall asleep while he's doing his thing) but he also has great customer service skills and demeanor is wonderful. I'm follically challenged and I think it's hilarious how considerate he is. I'm balding, I'm good with it, but he still made the few hairs I have left look great! I'd also add that if you're Spanish isn't great, Oscar is the way to go. They don't need to speak fluent English to do a great job though.
