I’ve been going to David for the last 15 years! Btw, I travel all the way from Suffolk county, Long Island ..Every time he provides same amazing service! I get so many compliments on my color/ highlights and haircut.. His team is wonderful, they make me feel so welcome from the minute I walk into their salon.. I highly recommend David to anyone who’s looking for the BEST Hair ARTIST in town! Thank you for all you do from the bottom of my heart ❤️

My hair stylist was David he’s very knowledgeable and professional. Don’t think twice upon getting your hair done here. You’ll get top tier service, the salon is such a relaxing place to be in it’s so clean and the stylist are very professional. I’m in love with the volume and cut David did for me. I for sure will be Coming back.

David is absolutely amazing at styling hair! I've been a loyal customer of his for a whopping 17 years now. Despite my naturally straight hair, he works his magic and manages to give me beautiful curls every time. His haircuts are always spot on. If you're looking for a fantastic salon, I can't recommend DY salon enough. David and his team are simply fantastic!

I finally met with "my" hairstylist today after many years of being dissatisfied at many hair salons and walking out with brassy, damaged hair. David and his team are very kind and professional. He is the most amazing, perfectionist, and caring hairstylist I have ever had. He worked on the hair for 7 hours with the utmost attention to create a beautiful look. He skillfully restored the health and beauty of my hair and made it looks shiny, healthy with the exact tone, color, style and cut I asked for. David did so with perfection and the attitude that everyone who leaves his chair symbolizes his identity. I definitely recommend his salon to anyone who wishes to have exceptionally gorgeous hair.

I had the most amazing experience from start to end. I was having trouble finding someone I can trust with hair color as I wanted to go lighter. I found David randomly through instagram and I’m sooo happy I did! When I booked my appointment he had reached out himself and had a consultation even before I came in so I wouldn’t waste any time sending photos and making sure to be fully transparent! When I got there he was so sweet and did a test first! When I tell you it was more than what I expected! I just wanted a random chocolate brown color with extensions to match what I bought on Amazon. But he did such an amazing job I couldn’t even bother putting in the extensions along with the most beautiful haircut I’ve gotten in who knows when! I feel like a new person!

Went in for K tip extensions for extra volume. Extensions were matched perfectly to my natural hair. The whole process was seamless and the attention to detail was outmatched. All of the staff were friendly and fun. The salon is very comfortable and clean.

David is my “Hair Magician”. Once he seats you, he asks you about your vision, focuses on your answers, and explains what can be done. Then, he gets to work. He and his staff are thorough and never rush through a step or process. I go to him for Balayage, haircuts, and upkeep (roots & glaze). The picture attached is after an “upkeep” visit for roots & glaze. To put the photo into perspective: it’s been about a year since I got the annual Balayage treatment and as you can see, his work STAYS FRESH FOR A LONG TIME!!! (and it also looks EXCELLENT on camera 😉)

I think most of us have had the traumatic experience of going from bad hair stylist to bad hairstylist hoping that we’ll finally find someone who understands what we want . After a recommendation from an acquaintance I decided to try Dy Hair Salon . I went to the appointment with a heavy heart .. But as soon as I met Anya I was put at ease and I got an amazing haircut . From the minute I sat down she listened to me with kindness and patience . She explained everything she was doing as she cut my hair . I left that salon feeling so happy and relieved . I’ve gotten many compliments on my hair and I want to thank Anya again ! After much searching I have finally found a hair stylist who knows what she’s doing .

I went to David for a consultation first. Unlike other stylists, he could’ve given me false advice and charged me an arm and a leg, and given me the results I wanted but instead… he gave me great advice, based on the condition of my hair. The next visit, David treated my hair and gave me a beautiful haircut which had me in awe 🫶🏻

Couldn’t be happier with today’s experience. David took the time to sit down with me and answer all my questions prior to beginning. Throughout the entire time, the staff was accommodating and attentive. The cut, style and color was everything I asked for. Guys let me tell you this once! DY hair salon is the one and only one! David and Jana are absolutely the best, the most profesional, knowledgeable, experienced and friendly. I’ve been to many hair salons but never experienced anything like at DY. My hair is long and bleached blonde- after some time it got damaged to the point that I was crying and considering a hair cut. David saved them! Just after few visits and just one organic keratin treatment my hair is healthy, shiny and super long! Prices are great as well so definitely give them a try as this salons is a game changer.

Hands down best quality hair experience!!! I travel from the city to Queens just for David and his amazing talent and expertise!! He is an expert with color and keeps your hair looking magnificent, lustrous, and healthy - I fully trust him to cut my curls, and he does the most fantastic blow-out!!! I also bring my grown male children to him and they love it too!!! He listens, he is meticulous and I highly recommend him - DAVID IS THE ABSOLUTE BEST!!!

Impersonal, took me 40 minutes after my appointment time and then spent a grand total of 30 seconds speaking to me. went for a glaze. Color was totally wrong. Did not ask my name, made no conversation. At the end of the appointment after being treated extremely briskly by David and receiving poor service I was asked by assistant what my ethnic background was. Very bizarre. Uncomfortable experience, will not be back.

Disappointed. Made an appointment with David, drove from NJ and somehow he put his trainee to do my hair color, trainee who has no business doing hair. She missed one side and did not put color which got redone by a second trainee when I noticed that she missed one side and I still have grey hair showing… Instead of desired color I got “cheap” not natural looking shade. Hair cut-asked for no layers-got layers from the right side only! Hair cut was done by David. Blow dry-a second trainee did an average blow dry. Price: paid 165 for a below-average treatment . Not coming back.

My favorite salon ever 🏆 I’ve had nightmare experiences at other salons, so much so that I avoided going to salons for years. I saw DY Salon on Instagram, loved their work and decided to give it a try. Over the last year, I’ve had several haircuts, blow outs, and full color dye at DY Salon from David and Yana (they’re the best!!) and am in love with this salon! The inside of the salon is beautiful and clean with a new and modern look. They are personable, professional, and REAL. They always uphold my appointment time, with little to no wait time. David listens to what you want and explains to you what’s feasible. There’s no extra fees and charges that surprise you at the end like at other salons. They’re very transparent and will answer any questions you have. Every time I come here, I leave smelling great, hair bouncy, shiny and full of volume, and feeling more confident! My before (not pictured): uneven lift color and banding from previous at-home bleaching, very faded copper red color, small regrowth of black roots After (pictures): vibrant even color - thanks to David, and perfect blowout, thanks to Yana! 👩🏼‍🦰🫶

I bounced around from place to place until discovering DY Hair Salon. I love it!!! It’s nice and small; they give great attention to each individual client. David and his staff are kind, patient, and talented. I always walk out of there looking great, and both my cut and color really hold up well over time. I had such a lovely experience at this salon. Very clean and professional all around. everyone was so nice! Eli took care of me and did an amazing job . I wanted a soft change and a bit lighter color and he made it look great. He definitely knows how to handle dark hair and had some good advice for me. He was also so fun and nice to talk to! I will absolutely be back and looking forward to continuing to work with him!

I have been going to Niki for over 10 years and she has transformed my hair!!! No matter what service I'm receiving (cut/color/keratin) she does amazing work!! Not only is she my stylist she is my Friend!!! The shop is very nice, it is clean and they have great shampoo chairs. Everyone there is friendly and welcoming. Looking forward to many more services!!!

I went to this salon after seeing the instagram posts. I am so happy with results of my hair. David and his colleagues know exactly what they are doing. He is so fast. When he finished from his client he immediately helps other colleagues to finish early. He is doing haircuts 💇‍♀️ style from 12 years. I highly recommend him to do your hair.

Went in for recolonization (blonde balayage) and was very pleased with the results. David is amazing, very friendly, made me feel very comfortable after meeting him for the first time. The staff is very professional and also very welcoming. Overall, I’m in love with how my hair turned out and look forward to coming back. This is the best salon In Astoria I’ve been In.
