I went to Diva Designs a second time after I was taken in the 1st time w.out an appointment. My second visit consisted of me having brought my princess along so that another stylest could braid her hair while Monica did my hair. My daughter had a cough and a runny nose during this time, and Monica freaked! I felt very disrespected as a customer at how she 1st tried to cancel with me 1) bcuz the stylist for my daughter couldn't make it; 2) Monica was afraid of getting sick before she was due to leave for her vaccination a couple days after that. Throughout the duration of Monica doing my hair she verbally attacked me with cunning insults by replying, "It's not rocket science" whenever I had questions about the treatment I was having done to my hair. My daughter wanted to stick close to me, so she sat in the adjacent chair and watched her show. I remember Monica having a mask on saying to ME, "Can you turn That Baby away from our direction, bcuz she's coughing this way." She treated us like we were a disease! I would've honestly rather had been turned away then to have had to sit there with this woman taking constant jabs at my 2 y.o. daughter & I for the duration of 2 hours! I became very sad and I actually cried! My hair wasn't done, so I didn't react how I maybe would've if the situation was not what it was. We won't EVER go back there! She knows her stuff, but her attitude is an obvious hinderance.

Monica has been doing my hair for years! She is talented and also very knowledgeable of taking care of your hair. Her salon is clean and a great environment to be in. I always leave her salon feeling great and loving my hair! Thank you Monica you’re awesome hairstylist!

Monica loc’d my hair back in May of 2022, I’ve been going to her to get my retwist done every time i need them done, she does amazing work. The salon is always clean, and they make you feel welcomed! I have been a client for the past 2 years now. I wish i can take her with me when i move out the state soon, i don’t even want to look for a new hairdresser!!

Before going to Diva Designs my hair was damaged from excessive heat. Since going my hair is healthy and strong. My favorite part of getting my hair done is when it’s being washed. It’s extremely relaxing and comforting. Staff and customers are always friendly and upbeat

I am so particular about allowing someone to do my hair but I enjoy my visits to Monica's shop each and every time I go clean comfortable environment I love the way that she handles my hair and her knowledge of hair care and products I am just so pleased with the service that I get at Diva designs by Monica I would recommend her shop highly to anyone & everyone 🙂

My two teenage daughters and I have been going to Monica for almost a year now. We are so thankful we found her. We have been pleased with everything she’s done from hair to makeup. If you explain what you want and show her pictures she gives you exactly that and better. She did some highlights for one of my daughters and the color surpassed our expectations. She did my other daughters hair and makeup for prom and did an excellent job!!! I don’t know what we would do without her!!!! On top of all of that Monica is very personable and a genuinely nice person. You will feel right at home in her salon.

I don't normally write reviews but for this place, I just had to! I am so pleased with the service I received at Diva Designs by Monica! Not only did Monica make my hair look fabulous (I got a simple wash and blow-out), but she did so in a manner that made me feel like the overall health of my hair was well taken care of. She explained what every product she used was and what it would do to my hair. She was friendly, professional, reasonably priced...I just can't say enough good things! On top of all that, the salon's policies with regard to covid 19 are strictly adhered to which made me feel safe and secure during my appointment. I will definately be booking my next hair appointment here!

Monica is the owner and a dear friend of mine with the golden heart. Beside her amazing personality she is a wonderful, wonderful stylist. Back in a day we used to do weddings together and other spacial occasions hair & makeup. At her stylish and clean salon I had a CHi hair treatment done and angled bob haircut and she did amazing. Perfect cut, perfect angle and my hair were way more manageable for a long time. Monica is the stylist you can confidently trust!

A beautiful shop with a warm and friendly staff. They can do all hair types and styles. These ladies are awesome! I am always 100% satisfied with my hair. You can also get your makeup done on site.

I have been going to Diva Designs since I was about 12 years of age. Its been close to 30 years now. I have always been a satisfied customer. This shop uses amazing products for your hair and if you go frequently enough, you will have nice healthy hair. I always said the owner has what we call "growing hands." I have fun when I go there and its like being around family.

She is extremely experienced, creative and conscious of her clients needs and desires in regards to the most current styles and products that best fit who they are and the look they want to achieve. If you want a fast in and out, your hair dyed, dried and fried, don’t go to DD! But if you know you are worth the time and effort Monica puts into taking care of your hair, and making you look your best while educating you about quality products best suited to you, then I suggest you make an appointment with her and the new you ASAP. I’ve gotten weaves and crochet braids, felt fabulous about each new look and got compliments on my hair EVERY single day for weeks each time.

I’ve been using Diva Designs by Monica for tha last five years and I couldn’t be happier. Tha fact that I won’t let just anyone touch my hair plays a major factor in selecting a stylist, but Monica’s dreadlock upkeep/maintenance techniques are a one of one. Everytime I leave tha building feeling refreshed and brand new; from tha wash/conditioning to tha retwist of my locs, she’s got tha magic touch!
