I came in with my 6-year old and received an amazing service from start to finish! First and foremost, the braids were impeccable and she finished quicker than expected, always a plus. The salon was also very peaceful, clean and modern, and they offered a variety of snacks and accessories. My daughter loves her new look (we all do!) and we will definitely be back. Thank you for taking care of my baby Rishaan and District Braids! Update: Photo after 3 weeks and still sooooo neat! 🙌🏽🙌🏽

I got my hair done at District Braids, and it was a lovely experience! The shop was clean, neat and quiet, and they provided complimentary drinks and snacks. My braider, Eskedar, gave me exactly what I wanted. I got smedium shoulder-length boho braids with the hair they provide ($60 per human hair bundle), and they are beautiful. I have THICK hair, and she did these braids so neatly and quickly (under 5 hours)! What I also love is that she didn't slather my scalp with braids gel, wo my hair feels good. I would definitely go get my hair done here again. The pricing was comparable to other braider who do this style and fair at $315.

Highly recommend this hair braiding salon. Booking an appointment was seamless and my stylist took the time to review and confirm all the notes I added for my hair style( Thank you Rishaan!). Clean, quiet, and very vibey. All the stylists in the salon the day I visited were really friendly, offered snacks and breaks, and overall really amplified the level of service and care you’ll get here. I was really happy with my braids (came here to fix a terrible set of braids I had gotten a few days before at another salon) definitely worth the drive up from Virginia; will be coming back again ☺️

Highly recommend. My knotless braids were really well done….and I’m very particular. The atmosphere was great and stress free…..I felt very comfortable getting my hair done. Free wifi and the snacks were very much appreciated and made the time fly by quickly. Bathroom was very clean. I will be going back again. My hair was done by Eskedar. Hours there are very convenient too.

I went in for waist-length medium knotless braids but ended up with mid-back medium braids instead. I was told that this was their version of waist length. At 5'2", the braids fall under my breasts and above my belt, which is not what I expected for waist length. Some ends even touch my belt loop, but that's about it. Unfortunately, I won't be returning. I wanted to support a new business, but I was disappointed. The braids were supposed to be ombre, but they appear more like a single color without a proper blend. This experience was underwhelming. Look at this—these braids, just an hour old, look like they've been in for two months. I came home, took my hair out, and booked an appointment with my regular braider. District Braids needs to improve. While the ambiance is excellent, the work does not measure up. I recommend booking with Busy Bee instead; the other picture shows her work with the lighter blonde braids, representing waist length and an ombre effect. You can see the difference in craftsmanship.

I chose District Braids for the experience and environment, and I was not disappointed. However, I gave them 4 stars instead of 5 because I did not like the pricing options. I felt like they weren't generous with the hair and used less hair to save costs on their end. I'm used to mid-back braids being the standard price, but they charge you extra. My braids are not the same length and size throughout my hair. My stylist cut my braids terribly to make them mid-back length. Overall, my braids look neat, just not what I expected. If I decide to go back, I will be bringing my own hair. I also suggest that the pricing for mid-back braids be the standard cost to keep up with market trends.

I had a lovely experience getting mid-back smedium knotless braids at District Braids. Kaya was efficient, skilled, and very attentive. The vibe was chill, relaxing, and the kind of hospitality I want when I’m spending a few hours getting a service. My braids are flawless and I’ve become a fan!

Overall I enjoyed my experience there. I had a very nice braider and the shop is clean and very aesthetically pleasing! I do wish my braids were a little bit fuller but I guess you need to request that initially so just be cautious !

The salon is beautiful and clean with a relaxing vibe. Rishaan did an excellent job on my braids! The variety of free snacks and drinks are a nice touch and very appreciated. I’ll definitely come back 😀
