After the issue with scheduling which resulted with me having to drive an hour to get a prenatal massage, I was a bit bummed. The massage therapist was very nice and I did enjoy her company; however, She said she couldn’t massage my lower back, she forgot to do my feet as well as one of my hands. The other parts of the massage were nice. I spoke to a specialist in prenatal massage and she told me my lower back can absolutely be massaged.

Emily E. Does an amazing Job. This is my third time back and she has always been able to provide me with the knowledge and expertise I have been looking for. While also recommending products that might be useful, but not pushing for a sale. You can tell she has amazing technical skills, and loves what she does. Everyone support her. Hard, and honest worker.

I cannot recommend Austin enough! In addition to the perfection he performs with my haircuts, highlights, color . . . every interaction, every appointment is a complete delight. His love of his craft, his care for his clients, his knowledge are incredible. His personality and energy are just added benefits to my hair appointments. Simply the best!

I feel the ladies at the front desk could use some training in how they treat the customers. The last 3 times the same lady was very snide with her responses. Or would ignore when I spoke. Now my stylist Jerica is an absolute sweetheart. She’s very professional and knows her stuff. Listens to your wants and gives helpful thoughts and inputs if you ask. Always makes you feel so beautiful. She’s very professional, always on time and so careful.

I went in to get my hair done with a broad idea of what I wanted. Auzi did a phenomenal job of seeing what my expectations were, executing, and far exceeding them! The whole experience was awesome. I left feeling pampered and relaxed.

There was no one there and it was one hour from closing, but I needed to have an appointment. It was suppose to be a girls night out, but because of the appointment rule with no one there or coming, we were let down and the night ruined. When we went in to ask for something the person at the front desk was very rude and smug to us. I won't be coming back because of the terrible costumer services, I do NOT recommend.

Anna did an amazing job with the cut and color of my hair. She listened and recommended things and I left feeling beautiful. Definitely going back to her! Samantha at the front desk also did a great job! Their computers were down due to the storm and she had to do a difficult task of scheduling new appointments and collecting payments on her phone. Her attitude put a smile on my face! We’ll done team!

Dana was the best massage I've had in my many trips to Design 1. Great experience and just the right pressure not to mention the heavenly scalp massage! I was shocked to hear she has been with the company so long and what a hidden treasure ! She is my go to for now on!

I've been going to design 1 for the last few years and I usually go to plainfield but this time I went to this location in Cascade. Ive never had a bad experience or a bad cut with anyone. Faith did my hair this last time and she did such an amazing job! I will be returning! 😊

Unimpressive, overpriced, and the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. A group of us planned a spa day for my mom’s birthday. Unfortunately, she got lost driving there and was running 15 minutes late. The massage therapists assigned to us were only concerned about their schedules and not the purpose of our appointment. Shooting me nasty looks and talking down to me as I was holding up their schedule trying to make sure my mom was okay, not stranded on the road with the snow. I tried to explain to them that this appointment was a gift for my mother and this was suppose to be a relaxing experience for all of us. I tried to convey that I understand the situation we put them in by being late and understood that they would need to stop our services at the appropriate allotted time to not interrupt their next client. However this therapist silenced me, and would not listen and continued to minimize me. If you’re looking for a relaxing spa experience, spend your money somewhere else. They do not respect their customer’s lives and treat customer as an inconvenience if the customer disrupt the therapist's precious schedule. To the owners - treat your workers better so that they are not taking out their work frustrations on your dwindling customers.
