I just enjoyed an incredible facial while my 18 yr old daughter had a lovely massage. The spa was calm, spacious and beautiful. Our technicians were very experienced and incredibly kind and knowledgeable. My daughter’s massage therapist even spent extra time with us afterwards to teach us several stretching techniques to help ease her very tight shoulders and neck muscles. We are looking forward to going back. I already bought a gift certificate for my other daughters.

My girlfriends and I visited the spa last Saturday for facials. Each facial was at the same appointment time in different rooms with different technicians. I am providing the feedback from each of us below. Please Note: I tried to do this on the company website when I received the automatic link post service, but after several attempts I gave up as I kept getting an error. I then emailed the spa directly heard nothing back even after a follow up, so here we are. Client #1: Microdermabrasion facial: technician left her for 10 minutes during the appointment without a word after a mask was put on. Looks like this is not an isolated incident if you read other poor reviewed for them. Barb had no idea what was going on she assumed the facial was over and started getting dressed. The technician came back in and told her that she thought she was asleep. Barb did not get a head massage or neck massage which was supposed be o be part of the service. Client #2: x4 layer facial: The instrument used to give off steam was malfunctioning and in addition to continuous steam it would spurt out extremely hot water onto her face which felt like burns. After several minutes of pain, Amber had to ask them to stop/ readjust the machine. In general the technician was aggresive with her face it was not relaxing. Client #3 (me): microdermabrasion facial: the experience was decent however it is customary for the technician to tell you what they are doing during the procedure so you are not startled every time they come to touch your face because you don’t know when it will happen. In addition the constant sighing from the technician was off putting . Overall we were all equally disappointed by our services and there is much room for improvement. At first I was going to put two stars as the front desk person was very nice however after emailing them about our experience and complete silence on their end puts my rating down to one star. Update: per the owners response: first of all we did not realize what happened until we got in the car and discussed. Secondly I emailed you with an 2nd follow up after ZERO response. I still have not received a response! To see your response here is a load of nonsense and if you strive to give your customers the best experience then an email reply or a phone at the very least would have been basic common decency. Basic training in customer service and follow through would be recommended. What a complete waste of time!

Great experience as a first timer for a 1 hour Swedish massage! I usually go to a chain like Massage Envy but I branched out and tried Dermage instead this time, preferring their availability, location, reviews and similar pricing! The setting feels very classy New England - Newport, RI inn & spa vibes. My swedish massage was thorough and included the use of hot towels and heat pillows under the shoulders to keep your head and neck propped up in a much more comfortable position. They usually charge for those simple “extras” at some of the other places I’ve had a massage, so I was really happy with my service because that’s exactly how I can really enjoy the massage experience and be more comfortable. My massage therapist was warm and friendly and checked in with me just enough to ensure I was comfortable. I booked myself another appointment without hesitation!
