Came and got a long curly cut a few months ago and it was good just shaping them better but I recently came back and got another. And it’s pretty bad in the front I asked for a specific cut with a photo I’ll add on and it looks horrible I wasn’t going to give a review but every day I HAVE TO style them so I don’t look funky. Plus the WHOLE process hurt during washing it felt like my hair was literally being ripped out and then durning the style part with (no products btw) was burning my face with the dryer I’ve only gone twice but I don’t think I’ll come back ever again. Here’s the before and after with BANGS wtf and the reference photo. Plus with me now having bangs I have somewhat of a mullet look and it’s very frustrating bc I’m trying to love my hair not hate it.

I don’t leave a lot of reviews, but I am SO HAPPY with my experience with Chad that I feel compelled to share with you all. My hair has a really annoying texture that’s somewhere in between straight and wavy. After decades of forcing it to be straight, I’ve decided recently to try to embrace the wave (but I’ve been struggling with it and I shared all this with Chad). I don’t know what kind of magic hair voodoo he’s doing, but he was able to cut my hair in such a way that ACCENTUATES the wave pattern, and now my hair is just beautifully wavy—and takes very little effort on my part. (I joke that it’s hair voodoo, but it’s clear that he just has a ridiculous amount of experience with curly hair). Also the COLOR- wow! I’m not exaggerating when I say that it’s the best color I’ve ever had. It looks so natural, and it looks great even as it’s growing out (which means I don’t have to come in constantly to have it redone, which I love). And his prices? So reasonable! I can’t believe my good luck that I found Chad Seale to do my hair!

I have been going to Curl Co for a few years now. I have wavy hair, and they have always done an excellent job cutting it. I usually book a "non-curly" haircut because I prefer my hair to be blown out at the end. I also always see different stylists when I go because I am normally book an appointment spontaneously. This time, Rendan did my hair. He was so kind and educated me on what he was doing, when he was doing it. He did finish my hair with a curly style, which was fine, but then I wound up having to come back when I blew it out at home because I noticed a few uneven parts in my bangs/face frame. I don't wear my hair curly often, which is why I prefer the non-curly cut, but Rendan was so kind and allowed me to come in another day to get it to be exactly how I wanted it. It's one of my favorite haircuts I have had yet! I will definitely be back to see Rendan in the future and I highly recommend him for a stylist!

I have had great haircuts here from multiple stylists. Alicia has given me a couple great scissor cuts, giving special attention to my curls and the structure of my hair. Nic recently gave me a wonderful French crop, adjusting the cut to my tastes as we went. A dry cut will run you around $50, but it is worth it for the attention you are paid here!

Chad searle did an amazing job cutting my sons hair. He was quick with the first chops, it was fun to watch the transformation. He helped us with style tips and tricks, and was a nice guy. We will be back!

UPDATE: Response The roots of anyone’s hair should be blended in ANY blonde service straight or curly. I walked into the salon with straight hair & the picture I showed for inspiration was someone with straight hair. She knew I wore my hair straight. Never thought I would be gaslit by a business owner response.😂. I also added my inspo pic. I rarely leave poor reviews but I feel like I’m left with no choice at this point and I do not want this to happen to anyone else. I had been to this salon multiple times before this with good experiences. I truly really liked my stylist. I wanted to go to a curly salon to preserve my curl pattern. I booked this appointment to refresh and enhance my balayage that I had done before. I booked it right before a trip that I wanted my hair to look nice for. The first two pictures are after the first appointment, I was disappointed with the color and how it was not even or blended in my roots at all. I text my stylist and asked if she could fix it before my trip. The last 3 pictures are what I ended up with AFTER it was supposed to be fixed. She styled my hair curly before I left so I didn’t notice how bad it was until I straightened my hair. I only had 3 days before I left for my trip. I spent a total of $240 for this and I literally did not want to leave my house without a hat. I had to pay a different salon $100+ more dollars to make my hair SOMEWHAT presentable for my trip totaling over $400 for my hair to look KIND OF OKAY. I kindly let my stylist know how disappointed I was with my hair and only requested the cost of my initial service refunded ($150) and to let her keep the tips for the hours she put in. She let me know that they do not offer refunds but that I could come back AGAIN to have it corrected. I don’t know about you but I am not trusting a salon that is clearly incompetent in coloring services for a THIRD time 3 days before an important trip. My stylist was clearly completely untrained in the particular service I asked for but attempted to do it anyways and charged professional pricing for it and then REFUSED to give me my money back after my hair was botched. This is a complete scam and I hope this review can help others to avoid this scam in the future. How are you okay charging prices like that and then just completely ruining people’s hair with no remorse? Not only am I out all of that money, I also have extensive damage to my hair that is going to take a long time to repair. DO BETTER CURL CO.

Google keeps glitching and messing w/ my reviews so things keep getting deleted…so I’m once again saying that Chad is the best stylist I’ve ever had! He keeps my pixie looking immaculate. I’ve never had a cut I didn’t love and it’s been 2 years of monthly visits. I never want to visit another salon! :)

I LOVE this salon. The only curly hair salon who do perms that I’ve been able to find. Most salons I’ve gone to have cut my hair wet in the past, but they cut it dry and it looks so much better. The prices are very fair compared to other curly hair salons. I love supporting a woman and LatinX owned business, it’s amazing how diverse and inclusive the stylists are, I can’t recommend enough for people with curly hair. I’ve had nothing but good experiences there.

I have curly hair and you have to wash it because it’s different lengths and he did not wash just stared to brush and then I wanted 3in he took off like 10 more inches off

Just had my hair cut by Chad Seale to a shorter style. He was quick and efficient, my hair looks much better than the mess I came in with. I've recommended Curl Co. to my sister, who has curly hair too. Phenomenal work!

My hair is very straight, and I had always wanted to get a perm. Today I had my appointment, and I was very happy. I almost missed it because there were many road repairs and some accidents along the way. I arrived 20 minutes late, but Chad was very understanding and attended to me. I loved the excellent service he gave my hair; it turned out spectacular. I highly recommend Curls and Co, especially Chad, who was very kind and understanding. My pictures from before and after.

I definitely recommend if you have curly hair. I have had so many haircuts where the stylist doesn't know how to cut curly hair. Chad was an amazing stylist and brought my curls to life. I loved the education afterwards.

I have short curly hair which also grows fast so needs frequent cuts. Every time I get my hair cut by Deanna it turns out excellent. She’s super nice, super accommodating, and a very good listener. Like many people with curly hair I’ve been burned by a lifetime of bad haircuts so I probably wasn’t the easiest client the first few times I went to Deanna. But she balanced good listening skills with her expertise and didn’t allow me to ruin my own haircut by nitpicking and making foolish requests. Now whenever I go I trust her absolutely. Super kind, very efficient, easygoing, easy to get an appointment, very reasonably priced. For any curly hair but especially if you have something between chin length and pixie-cut length curly hair, I wholeheartedly recommend getting your hair cut by Deanna. Overall cleanliness and comfort of the salon is great. Check-in and check-out is easy, fast, convenient. Other stylists are friendly and helpful at the front desk and on the phone. Coffee and water are available. I’ve never waited for more than a minute or so before being helped and never more than 5 minutes for an appointment.

I avoided getting a haircut for over a year after a negative experience somewhere else, so I was nervous going in. But I am so happy with how my cut from Rendan turned out. He did a great job listening to what I want and asking questions to make sure we were on the same page. I also felt like the curly cut was a great price value compared to other curly hair specialists in the area.

I got a curl cut + reiki from Deanna and it was lovely! She took her time and explained everything she was doing which was super educational. My hair was exactly what I asked for and the wash and styling were very relaxing. Better than many curl specialists I’ve been to!

I have had some pretty horrible experiences that many different salons I was having a hard time, finding a place to go back too. I really love the environment of the salon all of the hairdressers like to help each other and they check in on the clients and make sure everyone’s having a really good experience.. this will be my fourth time going back and I always have a great time with Rendan! I always have a great conversation, and he always goes above and beyond to give me exactly what I’m looking for

I love Salt City Curl Co.! The salon is chill, clean, and bright and the hairdressers are skilled and friendly! Nicole always does an amazing job on my hair and takes the time needed to do it right. 10/10 would recommend to curly/straight/everything in between girls and guys :)

Unfortunately my last 2 experiences have been regrettable. I've been going to this place for about 3+ years and 3/5 haircuts I've had were bad and my last 2 color experiences were incredibly terrible. 2 of my cuts were with 2 separate employees (one of them being chad - thumbs down and the other is no longer employed) 3 of my cuts and color were with the owner Alicia. My last cut and color with her was a nightmare. The root color washed out after a week and a half and my cut was crooked. I reached out to her to get it fixed. Unfortunately when I arrived to my "fix" appointment, I was told that Alicia had called out sick that day and wasn't in. I had taken off work early and drove an hour+ just to make it on time but she never let me know she wasn't in. The employees were fairly rude to me when discussing the situation and very defensive. The only saving grace for this situation was Meredith- she was great. She offered the only solution and that was for her to pick up her bosses slack and squeeze a color correction in between her current and next client. Merredith is very talented. Not only did she do the color correction, but it turned out well. Unfortunately, she had someone else rinse my hair (Rendan) and he completely forgot to wash the back of my head. I didn't notice until I got out to my car (after chosing to tip both of them- Meredith and Rendan) and honestly I didn't have it in me to go back in and complain some more. I also was frustrated that I was now out $260 from both the OG visit and the "fix" visit but I still left with a mess on my head. I also didn't want to wash my hair again incase the color fell out.. again... so I went home and had a super itchy scalp all night. I thought the color had dried before bed but when I woke up the next morning, my white pillowcases were stained brown and the stain hasn't come out since. Cheers to Meredith because she seems to have her stuff down and her other clients seemed to adore her. For the rest of yall? I wouldn't trust them again. It's unfortunate because I am a very understanding person, loyal client and I tip well. After trying to establish a relationship for years with anyone at this salon I wouldn't recommend it. ESPECIALLY for the prices. $200+ every visit to be hardly satisfied. After all this, I never even got a text or call from Alicia apologizing or anything when we were literally texting a few days before the appointment... its just disappointing. Wast of time and money.
