This was my first time at the salon. Nicole is amazing, professional, she listened to what I wanted and delivered! I just moved to Charlotte so she was working with the prior color treatment that was in my hair. I went in for a root touch up and she matched it perfectly. She uses top notch products - my hair was soft and looked healthy when she was done with me! She definitely gained a faithful client/customer - I will totally recommend her to anyone!

Loved Nicole period! She made me feel like I was a valued customer. Took her time to get things done right! She is such a gem and she has alot of knowledge about hair!! She is a straight shooter and let's you know THE TRUTH bout what needs and has to be done. Love this lil mama and will be back sooner rather than later if even just too chat. She IS the bomb. I’ve been getting my hair down by Nicole since I moved to CLT two years ago and she is the best! She always executes my vision even without an inspiration photo. I had never tried balayage before seeing her and it’s been such a nice change up from the typical highlights and looks super natural. It’s easy to book with her and she offers evening and Saturday appointments which is critical for people who work full time. Finally, she always matches my vibe - sometimes I want to chat and others I just want to relax, and she is friendly and accommodating either way. I always leave Nicole’s salon happy!

Been going to Nichole for 6 years now, she is amazing at what she does. I have bangs so I have a hard time finding people I trust with them but she does a good job every time. I will not go anywhere else. Amazing cut and an amazing person.

Easy to book appointments on the app. And I completely trust Nicole with my creativity and style. I had some unhealthy moments with my hair and she really guided me through some options to keep it healthy. Plus, It’s always a blast to see her!

I have been getting my hair done by Nicole for years. Her blonde balayage is top notch and I am always so satisfied with her services. I like my bright blonde to be super natural and blended and it grows out soo well. Highly recommend, Nicole’s craft is unmatched.

I woke up like a kid on Christmas morning yesterday. I was so excited to get my hair done. I haven’t been to a hair salon or gotten my hair done in over 5 yrs. I scheduled a blonde balayage with a bond protector and I thought a haircut. As soon as I got there and sat down and started trying to tell her what I wanted done. I was rushed, interrupted, and everything I said I wanted was completely disregarded and she did what she wanted (aka the bare minimum). She spent about 15 minutes “painting” on 6 brown streaks and that was basically it. I spent $225 to look the exact same way I did when I got to the salon. I understand $225 isn’t a lot of money to some people but it is to me and I saved that money up to get my hair done. I just wanted to feel pretty again and instead I went to bed crying. Edit: I just found out that the owner of the salon is who did me this way. I’m dumbfounded. SHAME ON YOU! You really should be ashamed of yourself Nicole. If you don’t want to do hair anymore close your doors bc what you are charging people is HIGHWAY ROBBERY. I feel like I got scammed. .

I’m really confused why there’s a few bad reviews because my haircut today was AMAZING. Nicole really listened to what I wanted, taught me a few useful styling tricks, and was very friendly. I’ll definitely be back

Second review update** I was asked to change my review because it was too harsh and therefore charged me back the $50. I resolved it with the better business bureau and said they reimbursed me, and now she took it back. I don't believe in paying for reviews through threats and giving cash, but rather reviews should be a freedom of speech. Review update** Was reimbursed $50 after I submitted this review and also submitted a review to the better business bureau. I will say that this wasn't received well as the owner also mentioned my review in a social media post and emailed me asking me to update my review. Not only that, they looked up who I was and saw I have a business and mentioned that as a fellow business owner, I should update my review. This doesn't feel like good customer service even though I was reimbursed. This experience feels threatening when it should be the opposite. Original review: Booked this as a new client and the app wasn't user friendly. I couldn't find the options to get what I wanted. I got to my appointment with Nicole and didn't realize it was just a cut because I also thought it was partly a new client consultation from the option I chose. I paid $10 to park my car, $50 to hold my space for the appointment. I asked for help figuring out what to book so I wouldn't make the same mistake and they said they didn't understand what I was asking and I felt a lot of tension in the air. They kept asking if I was going to cancel my appointment for the haircut and I said I would like to do the haircut with the coloring and they kept saying are you moving the appointment or canceling.. but they didn't explain the downside to either one. I was confused and taking everything in as this was a really weird encounter just to get a haircut. I felt like I spoke a different language and I felt like they wanted to take my money without doing any work. They didn't want to give any type of consultation even though I had already laid $50 to just book my appointment. I feel something is wrong with this experience. Not good customer service and lots of attitude.

came in to get my bangs trimmed, I described what I wanted and the cut wasn’t even close. I was in the chair for less than 5 minutes (no styling after) and was charged $30. I ended up going home and fixing them

Christie is the best, I’ve been a client here for over a year and a half and won’t go anywhere else. The cuts are perfect every time & I just got a gloss done and am obsessed. Highly recommend!

Consistently late to start appointments and overall rude attitude. Mentioned multiple times for Nicole to text me if she’s gonna start my appointment late because of poor time management. The one time I show up 5 min late (she hid in the bathroom for an extra few mins) she told me she had to cancel my haircut, even though I’m always sitting in a chair waiting at this exact time. Then told me she rescheduled for the following week but never put me on the calendar. Highly unprofessional, disappointing, and seeing the staff disappear over the years…one can only wonder why…

Nicole is fantastic! I’ve been seeing her regularly for 4+ years and have always been super happy with the haircuts and colors she has given me. She’s one of the only stylists I trust with my hair! Definitely would recommend to anyone in the Charlotte area.

Cassie butchered my hair. Got a basic men's dry cut and didn't ask for anything fancy, just one inch off. I've never had a worse cut. I wouldn't blame my girlfriend if she left me, my hair looks that bad. This person cut off like 3 inches, and that was even after I told her my hair will curl up and look even shorter. I'm just sad, man. Sucks to get a bad haircut. And she charged me $40 for it!

Christie is amazing at what she does. I have gone to her a few times now for a blonde balayage and haircuts and they are the best I have had. She is also so sweet and friendly and makes your experience super relaxing.

I have been looking for a stylist in Charlotte who I can trust. Nicole was wonderful. She listened to what I wanted and it turned out amazing! I would highly recommend getting your hair cut here. Shampoo wash was above and beyond. Extremely happy with the experience here.

I loved this place, my result was EXACTLY the tones of balayage I was looking for, I’m so happy with my hair thanks to Christie Tiberio, she cut my hair really good so you can appreciate even more my balayage she did on me, her services was excellent. Creative Layers is such a great place, good music, they were worry all the time for what I want or what I feel like a costumer, good results on my hair. I totally gonna come back here!

I've been looking for a hairstylist that is experience with layers and booked an appointment based on the reviews. I asked for curtain bangs with layers and even show the hairstylist a picture of what I wanted. Not going to mention any name because it doesn't matter at this point. All I want to say that it was not a good experience. The cut wasn't what I asked for. Ends are uneven and the blowout didn't even last no more than a day. I was so upset!! Its not easy to trust hairstylist with your hair these days. I would definitely not recommend.

I’ve been seeing Christie since I moved here in May of 2021 & she always does the BEST job with my blonde! Not everyone can bleach & tone while keeping the integrity of the hair but Christie is a rockstar!
