In my personal experience, CREATE. The Collective stylist Donzie Belden is a skilled but a shockingly unprofessional businesswoman. I have felt torn about writing this review for a while, but ultimately I want to warn anyone considering working with Donzie as it seems her behavior hasn’t changed in the time we worked together. Two years ago, Donzie abruptly ended our seven-year client relationship over our first-ever misunderstanding about rates. I was shocked and upset, but moved on with life. Since then, I’ve repeatedly learned she has continued to gossip and spread negative and false statements about me, damaging personal and professional relationships in the process. In addition, other people I referred to her over the years also shared my concerns about her unprofessional conduct and inconsistent business practices: raising rates at the time of checkout without any prior conversation, gossiping about other clients, and being late to appointments without apology, to name a few issues. Again, she’s incredibly talented, but I suggest carefully considering the personal and financial cost of working with Donzie before choosing her to be your hairstylist.

I am obsessed with Emily! She is amazing and talented and always nails it with my hair. I love that she takes her time and really addresses all my concerns, no matter how big or small. If you are looking for someone, look no farther than Emily!

Such an amazing salon. Each stylist puts so much love and attention to every client. I had Mari do my hair and she gave me the most gorgeous deep black cherry red color that just glows in the sun. Despite my hair being damaged and difficult to work with, she replicated my hair to exactly the pictures I showed her. She was incredibly kind and friendly and left me smiling the entire session. 10/10 recommend and go show her some love on instagram at @_mmaarrii._ 💗💗💗

Alicia Kane has been doing my hair for 7 years now. Im so happy she lives in Salt Lake City and is working at the amazing salon. I’ve gone from blonde to brown to red many times. She is so talented. Always makes me feel heard and beautiful!

10/10 recommend! I’ve been seeing Brittany O. for 8 years, and can honestly say she is MAGIC with color, cuts, bangs, and long term hair care. She’s taken me from red to brown to blonde to blue to black - with short hair and long hair and everything in between. She knows what it takes to keep your hair healthy, and will educate you about how to get the most out of each appointment. The salon itself is bright, clean and has an amazing energy! Really nice and helpful staff. Plenty of parking and is easily accessible no matter where you are coming from. Can’t say enough good things about this place!

Brandi is an absolute master, I would recommend her to anyone. I moved from NYC back to Utah and couldn’t wait to be back. Not only an incredible human but so incredibly talented and kind. The salon is so cute and in the best location, and they use Kevin Murphy, what more do you want?!

Brittany did an amazing job with my hair. But the only thing that I really did not like was her saying "Yaaasssssssss" every 5 minutes. Other than that she's very talented at what she does. Thank you, my hair looks amaizing.

Completely obsessed with this place and my hair. Ricky is a saint and makes me feel a million times better about myself. Hair is something I've always been insecure about and now it is my strongest asset. Not only is the salon a vibe, Ricky is everything that is right with the world. Love my hair, Ricky, and the salon. I get rare hair extensions and balayage done here. 10/10 recommend

Donzie is so awesome! She cares & knows a lot about hair, & I always feel I'm in good hands. I've been coming to her for a little over a year & have always been satisfied with the results she provides. She is also a very relaxing & laid back personality, very easy to talk to. The space is cool, too! Very upbeat & funky, with a surprising amount of parking.

Donzie is the best! I’ve been going to Donzie for years and am so glad that she is at this location. The atmosphere is fun and modern in a fantastic location. And I know that I’ll always get the exact hair color, cut, and style that I’m looking for with Donzie.

Donzie is the best! When I moved to Utah I was nervous to find a new stylist. Donzie knows how to work with my long, thick, wavy/curly hair. She is able to blow dry my hair pin straight. It is amazing! Her original location was Bauhaus. Due to Bauhaus closing for now, Donzie relocated to this location. The Salon was full for a Wednesday and service was great! Highly recommend Donzie as a stylist. Will go wherever she goes.

Earl is passionate about hair and he's good at it! He's also great to talk to while he's taking care of my hair! I have blonde highlights and Earl is great with color! I also love his cuts- keeping my hair feeling healthy, full of body with light layers.

Earl is the best stylist! He spent all day doing me and my daughters hair and we both love it! He has such a good aspect on life and doing hair! It was a wonderful experience and will definitely be going back!

I came in as a walk-in and Alexa kindly took me in for a Haircut🤓 she was super sweet and followed my silly instructions on how I liked my hair did.. i’ll be going back for sure because of her congenial ways and I loved how she did my hair😤

I go with my friend to get her hair done by Ricky. He is always so positive, funny and makes the 4 hours of sitting fly by. Her hair is always left looking flawless. Highly recommend!

I have been coming to Create. The Collective since my hairstylist, Amanda, moved here from her old salon. I’ve enjoyed coming to this salon every 5 weeks for well over a year now. The place is always clean, location great, and the drinks are an added benefit! Always a fun visit and Amanda is awesome 😀.

I've been going to Amanda for years. When the spa she was in closed. I was concerned about going to a new salon but I followed Amanda. I love this salon, they always welcome me and Amanda takes such good care of me. She's an amazing artist when it comes to color and style. I'll follow her for as long as she does hair.

I’ve been seeing Amanda for the last 8 years. There is nothing Amanda cannot do! For years she made my platinum blonde dreams come true, healthy level 10 for multiple year! Before silver came in a bottle, she created her own formula which was perfection!!! Many different hairstyles always making sure to take the extra minute for the little details. Amanda is one of the best, if she has availability you should most definitely book with her!! -p.s. I still want a perm Amanda 😚😋😂

Omg! Robin transformed my hair from a frizzy dry disaster into a beautiful, silky cascade of golden brown. Super pleased with the service and they provided excellent insight into how I can improve my hair care. Also parking in back for anyone wondering if there is parking.

What an incredible place!! Emily did my hair and it’s the BEST it’s ever looked! She was incredibly knowledgeable about style and color. The salon itself is beautiful I love the atmosphere.
