The owner was so nice and hospitable. We are from Tallahassee. We stop here to get our son’s haircut when we visit Shands. He does an amazing job and is always so caring. Our son got a mullet this time and it’s the best! Lol Looks just like Billy Ray Cyrus 😆 Love it!! Thank you for great conversation and the coolest haircut ever Mr Chip!!

Been a student at UF for five years now and never have been here before today, but WOW was I missing out! Chip did an excellent job and gave me the exact haircut I wanted. He constantly asked me what I was going for throughout the cut and seemed to care a lot about his customers. Washed my hair twice, had a great conversation and an awesome haircut for $14??? You can't beat that. The shop itself could use some rennovation/ aesthetic updates but at the end of the day if youre looking for a great haircut at a good price this is the spot. Super underrated and will definitely be back soon!

The price of the haircut was very fair, $12, and Patrick was extremely helpful, very insightful with proper hair cutting techniques, and paid special care to all aspects of the haircut, not just the basic clip-and-skip. Best haircut I have had in gainesville for the price including randys and sports clips in my personal experience.

I went here and got a pretty nice haircut, even though the staff was kind of rude, I decided to go back. The second time, the haircut was ok, but again they were rude, so I probably would not recommend going here. You could probably get an equal or better haircut somewhere else with nicer people.

Just got the worst haircut ever. The old man seems to be drunk or whatever. Everything he did is just crooked. Even a child could give you a better haircut. It's ridiculous to spend 12 $ on that 'service'. Never again!

Chip is a man of the South. He was raised here, went to school here, and continued his family businesses here. One of the UF's biggest supporters, a Gainesville native, Swamp Southern Gent, GATOR COUNTRY bleeding Orange and Blue for LIFE type of guy. Some may not understand his demeanor or true intentions for his shop but This shop is for guys, who want professional hair cuts, Television worthy, Court Worthy, a REAL haircut, for the real world, and maybe to catch a pearl of wisdom here and there for the real world. We need more like Chip, Courtney, Dana, and the Gang telling it like it is, with no sugar coating. Keeps ya real and honest with yourself.

DO NOT GO if you are a Asian. This barbershop has racists. I want to share my experience to others who wanna come. This is my first time to this barbershop. When I walked into it, they seemed shocked. A lady asked me where I came from and responded very shocked when she heard me from China. Another coworker sat by me and discussed about when UF students would have finals, another coworker said next week and I said some students would start finals this week. Then she said, only for the students from China. I said you were joking, right? She said , NO, because I am full made in America so I know. And then they talked about Asian people that I didn't hear it clearly because the lady who cut my hair moved the clipper to my ear. After that I was shocked during the whole process. It's my first experience of discrimination here in U.S. . Hope no other people would get this treatment again.

Uf Plaza is a favorite stop of mine. Chip & the peeps at the shop have always done me right. Catch some lunch at The Monkey or Swamp and you've seen some of the best this town has to offer.

I had never been to a professional barber before and I can honestly say this place makes me want to go to one every time I need a hair cut! Chip and all of the other barbers are extremely nice and where else can you get your hair cut, washed, cut again, and then styled all for just $10!!
