Horribly unfriendly place. We've been here twice and both time they give you an attitude, and rush you like they have a train to catch. And obviously crap quality both times because they're rushing to get in the next customer.

$45 for each kid (age 5 and age 9) for a very basic haircut (inch off the back and bangs). We won't be back.

We had a great experience for my toddlers first haircut. The owner was ready for her right on time and she made things so fast and easy. She even gave my toddler a braid and sparkles after the cut, which she absolutely loved. Thanks for making her first haircut so smooth!

We took our almost 1 yr old to see Laura. This is the second time Laura cuts his hair and for being so little and active he doesn’t mind his haircuts. This is a clean place, she is very kind and sweet when talking to our son. We drive 45mins to see her but it’s worth it.

Do not go to this establishment. We were running a bit late to our appointment and called to say that we were running 5 mins late. Laura (who I believe is the owner) told us that if we were any later that our appointment would be cancelled. So we hauled it as quickly as possible, barely making it in time. Laura was very curt with us and our son. We asked her to cut our son's hair short - she proceeded to give us a terrible, rushed haircut that was not short. When we asked her to fix it, she refused, saying that it would look better when his hair dried. She rushed him out of the chair and went on to the next kid. We ended up having to get our son's hair fixed at another salon. Again, do not go to this establishment. They rush you and they don't care what you have to say - just a conveyer belt hair salon: cranking out as many customers as possible. 0 stars Further notes: the owner has responded to this post with false information, so allow me to further clarify: 1. We called this institution at 11:14 and left a message that we would be 5 mins late to an 11:30 appointment. They called back at 11:20 and told us we couldn't be any later than 11:35 or we'd lose our appointment (see phone log screenshot). Not 11:28 as they claim - that is a lie. 2. They did rush us out as a gentleman and his son were waiting for their appointment. I did ask for my son's hair to be cut more, and they did not do it. They can say they have video of the incident, and they may, but it would show the same. And to the owner: you do not have parental consent to post a video of my three year old child. You gave bad service (which I'm warning others about) and you should accept it without getting into an argument with your customer online. Or, try to fix it - I probably would've removed the post if you wanted to try to make it right somehow. FYI: I *still* might remove it if you call us and talk it out - you have our # (11:14 and 11:20). And to the parents: I've only ever given 5 star reviews, up to this point (you're welcome to check my online reviews). I conveyed a negative experience that we had and rated the establishment accordingly. Instead of reaching out to me to see if they could make it right, they decided to exhibit the same behavior I'm complaining about in a response to my post. If this is how they treat their customers, do you want to take your children to get their hair cut here?

I recently took my son to Chappa Cuts and I couldn't be happier with the experience! Laura was incredibly caring and attentive, making my son feel comfortable throughout the entire process. Not only that, but she was also incredibly fast, which made the whole haircut experience stress-free for both me and my son. I highly recommend this salon to any parent looking for a caring and efficient hairstylist for their little one.

Totally sub par experience. $35 for my son’s first haircut which was a totally botched job (so uneven). The hairdresser was so rushed. For the lock of hair, she cut it after she wet the hair, rather than before, and then just stuffed the pieces into a small ziplock. Made no attempt to engage my child and make it a fun experience. Not worth it at all and won’t be going back.

Back in August, we paid $36 for my 5-year-old son's haircut that took ten minutes. Furthermore, he left in tears because of all the toys for sale that my husband wouldn't buy him. Not a positive experience.

Best 1st haircut! Was a little nervous on how my 3YO would react to her first professional haircut. Could not have gone better! No screaming/crying, done in less than 15 minutes, and my daughter wven gave the hairstylist a high-five! The hairstylist was wonderful: nice, calm, spoke to my daughter directly, very patient. She explained about my daughter's hair and how often we should het it trimmed. There are some cool chairs for kids to sit in (the firetruck is for first-timers because it has an adjustable front that helps keep kids in place better), a tv to help keep them distracted, and toys to play with. The hairstylist let my daughter pick out a clip and lollipop when done. :) Definitely coming back for a trim!!

If you have a temperamental child and need to get their hair cut, this is the place. Staff is professional and know how to work with the kids. Did a great job and cuts come out right.

I should have known better than to come here. I have only had my 6 year old daughter's hair cut by my stylist in Astoria, but due to the delta variant, I didn't want to go all that way- she was excited to try a child-friendly place. The stylist didn't introduce herself or ask my daughter her name- the only engagement they had was showing her the television and giving her a barrette and lollypop at the end. The ONE thing I asked was to cut it slightly shorter in the back, and longer in the front, and she did EXACTLY the opposite- she proudly showed me that she cut layers in the front. She worked quickly and had another person waiting 20 minutes later. I explained that wasn't what I asked for and she didn't apologize or anything- she just said I could come back another day. Once we showered her tonight, my husband pointed out that her hair is much longer on one side- she never trimmed it so if it isn't parted on one side, it's all uneven. I now need to either trim it myself or take it to someone else to repair- such a waste of my time.

My 5 yr old son has "special needs" getting his haircut terrifies him. We drove from Peekskill to Chappaqua, I coaxed him into the salon, he saw the cars and was excited for the first time in 5 years to get his cut, not terrified. I was told that I made the appt for a different day (uh no) and they had no time to squeeze him even after seeing the joy on his face. I can't speak to their abilities but their humanity is despicable. Please try Kidstyles in Mt. Kisco, amazing humans and stylists!

The Chappa Cuts Salon is clean, bright, welcoming, and extremely kid friendly. Not only do they have cool seats for the kiddos, like "planes" and "cars," but every station has their own TV, so kids can choose a show to watch while getting their haircut. Genius! For us, it's usually PJ Masks:) At the end of each visit, each child gets a lollipop or a small trinket. The staff is friendly and professional, and they follow all safety protocols. My son always looks forward to seeing Laura, the owner and my son's hairstylist:) Although we are regular customers, Laura always consults with me before cutting his hair. She is very warm and attentive to my son and always makes sure he is comfortable. I am always very happy with his haircut, and my son gets many compliments on his hair! Every time I visit Chappa Cuts, it is a very pleasant experience:) I would highly recommend this salon. I know I won't go anywhere else!!

They have great fun seats for toddlers to sit in while getting their hair cut. I’ve had two different hairdressers cut my 3 y.o.’s hair and both have been very skilled. I’m pleased with the quality of the cut and price for service. Kids can watch tv while getting their hair cut (a must for wiggly ones!) You can tip via venmo which is very convenient. They sell toys at the register which is always difficult to keep my toddler from throwing a fit to buy one so prepare your kiddo in advance :)

My son got a great haircut and they had dinosaur toys he loved. They had children's shows to watch during the cut to keep him occupied. Great experience.

A 3-stars rating only for the services and the cleanliness of the salon. Yet, I am sharing how disappointed by paying almost a hundred bucks for the haircut (plus tips). I went with my baby girl for a mommy-and-me session, staffs and stylists were very friendly. However, without discussing how to do the haircut, the stylist immediately shaved my girl's hair, she rushed through it and it's hard to call for a stop since one side was shaved already.... I had to call for a stop when she shaved both sides evenly short... For my turn, I wasn't hoping for anything. But the stylist started cutting my hair without even asking me to take away my glasses or mask... I felt very uncomfortable but since she started cutting already, I had no clue what I could do when the stylist cut my hair horizontally without any styles... I ended up paying almost $100 for the "haircut" plus tips, went home and shaved my girl by myself since the shave was not clean and even at all. I gave up fixing my hair because it's extremely ugly and horrible. I had no clue why a stylist will shave a girl without asking me (almost all of her hair, and my girl was born with thick , nice hair) while the other stylist was trimming the baby boy (and not shaving!) next to us. I honestly can shave my girl by myself and not paying this amount of money for this. Seriously now people are joking me having a baby boy because of her hairstyle.

Was hesitant about taking my son to get a haircut with everything going on, but I must say Chappa Cuts Kids made the whole experience more than wonderful. I felt very comfortable taking him in and they followed all the protocols but still made it inviting for my son. Everyone from the front desk to the hairdressers had their masks on and were very pleasant. I recommend anyone who needs to take their child to get a haircut to use them. The scheduling process is simple and easy. As soon as my son got off the chair it was being cleaned and sanitized. Again nothing but a wonderful experience.
