I don’t know if I got lucky or what, but Josey has done my hair- bleach and tone for the past 3 times and she has done an amazing job. I used to go to Tru in Coralville but moved to Cedar Rapids and wasn’t sure where to go. I thought I could save some money and come here, and it was worth it. I’m definitely following Josey to Ely when she graduates. It’s tough to find a stylist who can do bleach and tones perfectly and also is a joy to chat with! Thanks Josey!

Donated 12 inches of my hair and laughed the whole time!!! It was a chill and fun atmosphere, and a perfect cut by Ellie & Heather. I can’t wait to go back for a trim!!!

I was told that I didn’t cancelled appt with Jen the massage lady she wouldn’t take me anymore. But I did called and told them I would reschedule another time but Jen work for another company and I scheduled with them I forgot but called the same day about 10 min late try to come in and Jen couldn’t so I told them how sorry I was she informed me it’s ok but they try to charge me for the appt but I told her I try to come in but Jen said no so I think since that happen Jen won’t take me at Capri. That’s ok I found a better place and Hen was really good but it become money issue. That’s how I feel. Best of luck.

I got an eyebrow and lip wax from one of the students and was pleased with my service. She was very friendly, helpful, and communicative in asking what I was looking for and to make sure I liked it. The instructor was very helpful as well by giving the student tips and showing her another technique on my eyebrows. This led me to love my eyebrows even more and was a learning opportunity for the student. I also loved and appreciated the monthly specials going on! I got an even more discounted service because of it. I will be back to try more services!

The student doing my hair (Lucy N.) did a terrific job with my haircut. She made sure to take her time, and really made sure I walked out of the salon happy with the way I looked. I'd rate this place a million stars if I could. I am a very happy customer.

My kids mom went there today for a haircut and because she had her baby who’s asleep in a carrier you turned her away in tears even after one of the girls said she’d watch her. This is supposed to be a place for women to come and be supportive of other women and that’s how you treat her because she had an infant!!!!! Disgusting and it says a lot about your culture. I could see if it was a bunch of 6 year old boys running around tearing your place up but a baby!! I hope you guys are proud of yourselves!!!!

I wish that I was writing a much different review. I made an appointment this morning to get my haircut. Simple enough? Nothing fancy just overdo for one. I walked into my appointment with my 4 month old daughter in a car seat. I’d like to add that there wasn’t another soul there for an appointment. I’m trying to see all sides, like if I had gone at peak time or had a wild toddler. Heck my daughter can’t even roll over yet. Anyway, upon checking in, I was turned away for services because of my daughter. Because I had nobody to watch her for my haircut. There was a lovely student standing there who offered to sit with her and the lady wouldn’t allow it. I know there is a need for rules but that seems to be an issue that the world only sees things as black and white. I am a single mom who doesn’t have someone on standby while I get a simple haircut. The worst part is the lady who delivered this news did not seem the slightest bit apologetic about it. As I walked to my car and cried, I could see the student looking out the window and you could tell she was sorry. So thank you to you for having some compassion, it was much appreciated. And I really hope this reaches someone who might take a look at their rules and sees there are special circumstances for every rule, for the next mom who comes in and just wants to feel better about herself and support another woman in the process.

I absolutely love this place, the students are amazing treat you phenomenal and with love, and the staff are caring and very respectful always! When I move out to Iowa, I will Miss this place always, have been coming here since I was a little girl when it was downtown!

I told them I hated my hair and they preceded to tell me how good it look tho I still said I hated it the instructor told me I have to go home and see if I like it in the sun still don't I live 1 and 15 min away from this place and they want me to come back. I showed them a picture of what I wanted the picture looked nothing like my hair my hair is orange, not blonde as I asked for, and I had to pay $100 for nothing very disappointing. They say they are learning yes but I had someone that Definitely should have known what she was doing she was graduating next month.

Very unprofessional employee's. Front desk staff ignoring customers to talk to eachother. Not to mention talking badly about other staff. Customers should not be hearing a tell all while waiting. Get it under control.

Very unprofessional when it comes to customer satisfaction. My daughter spent 6 hrs in salon and still not happy with results. Instructor told student what to use and was not a good outcome...no fault to student as she was hesitant to listen but is required. I understand this is a school but students should be ones making mistakes not instructors. Charged full price and sent out the door. Lost any of my future business and would not recommend to others.

i never got my hair dyed before I wanted to try something new for the summer. I was so excited and I got Marrgot as a stylist and it was her first time doing what i wanted on a real person and she didn’t disappoint me at all .It Turned out amazing and I loved it to and she also cut my hair and it turned out amazing But i was in rush when i was leaving and I wished I have left a tip for her amazing work she did and the hours it toke

Great place to go if on a tight budget for any hair related services! I take my sons here frequently for hair cuts. Staff (super friendly) know us by first name. Ha!! I also am a frequent visitor for hair color. Best deal in town!

I went in about a month ago & I did have a decent experience. The girl was nice & friendly. But my only problem is that it was not really what I wanted. I showed them a pic of an inspiration of what I wanted, but they made it clear that my hair was too dark (even tho I had some blonde highlights in it) & it couldn’t be done. So I had to settle for something else & completely different! I do like my hair but it was nothing like what they promised they could’ve done weeks before when I called to make the appointment. I knew I should’ve spent my money at a professional salon instead!

Strictly putting one star due to the Salon worker Bailee (H?), my bleach was spotty (dark patches on parts of my roots) and my hair is completely FRIED. She had an attitude the entire time and i can PROMISE you i always say my “please” and “thank you”s but she had such a terrible attitude. i’m never rude to customer service workers because i myself am one but this girl is just foul. do you know how scary it is to have someone put literal bleach on your hair while giving you the stink eye for half of it? AGAIN! would like to clarify i didn’t say anything rude, i wasn’t giving her an attitude, this was strictly me saying “i think i see a dark patch” or “this looks a little funky could we fix this?”

TOLD TO LEAVE because child’s hair would be done first. Offered to pay to have the kids hair styled so it would take the same amount of time (giving them more business) and was told no. Wouldn’t let the child sit in lap or stand by. This all came from the instructor. 1/30/2023 at 10:45

Went for a facial that I get every few months and this was the best one that I every have gotten by student Catherine A. She is very knowledgeable about her craft of skin care.Her voice emits the knowledge of skin. She really focused on the area I told her which was blackheads and removed 99% of them. Her touch was very soft even in the places that needs firm one to remove. This young lady is so worth taking a trip to Capri beauty school to have her work on any skin issues you might have. I'll be requesting visits with you again soon.
