It’s hard to find a new spa when moving in from out of state. Twelve years ago I found Body Essence Medical Spa The staff are very professional and very caring about your needs. They offer a wide range of services. Facials, laser treatments, Botox, fillers, great skin products and numerous other treatments. This is the best spa I’ve ever been to. This spa is my happy place. I love and trust Tina, her services and the advice she gives me. Tina employs an amazing staff as well. If u are looking for a spa having a lot of services and treatments this is it. Absolutely love Body Essence!! I have partaken in a couple of their services dermal lip filler and laser hair removal. Their staff is super sweet and knowledgeable!! They offer a wide range of services and product’s. There are one of the best and most reasonable medispa’s locally!! A special shoutout to Jennifer and Tina!!

I absolutely love Body Essence, I have partaken in a couple of their services so far including laser hair removal and dermal lip filler. Body Essence was recommended to me. I live over a hour away and I’m so happy I made the decision to receive services here. Tina, the owner couldn’t be more knowledgeable and kind. Every staff member that I’ve came in contact with always has a smile and is extremely friendly. I have been to different spa’s in the area and this by far is the BEST! I’m so happy with the services I have received and will be a client for life!

If I could give Body Essence 7 stars, I would. I have been having some work done leading up to my wedding day (neurotoxin in my forehead, micro needling and Sculptsure on my stomach.) Even after just my first round of procedures I hadn’t looked so good in years. I’ve been seeing Chelsea who is just amazing. She’s knowledgeable and very good at what she does and is also such a pleasure to chat with during the procedures (and great at distracting me from pain!) I have been to medi spas before where there is a good deal of pushy upselling on products and procedures- and there is none of that here. Chelsea will actually recommend against things she thinks are unnecessary. I’ve noticed some negative reviews (very few) but will just say in my opinion that If you don’t look terrible the first few days after most of these procedures then the place didn’t do a thorough job most likely. It’s just the healing process. It’s unfair to leave a review like that unless it’s been weeks to months. I can vouch for how noticeably better I looked (especially for the neurotoxin and micro needling) about 10 after my procedures. Give it a little time. Love this place and look forward to continuing to come here!

I had the most atrocious customer service experience at Body Essence Medispa that I've ever had at a company in my life. Upon arrival for my consultation, I asked them to tell me the amount on my two Body Essence gift cards. I was told that the cards were "old" and expired after 1 year and thus could not be used anymore. The cards had NO expiration date or date of purchase on them. They were gifted to me not long before the Covid shutdown. In the last year I have called at least twice to schedule my appointment and was told they were not doing anything facial because of the mask restriction. So I waited. Finally, with restrictions being lifted, I was able to book my appointment, only to find out they would not honor my gift cards. I even have the credit card statement to know how much is on the cards. The attitude of the front desk employee was that this was my fault and that it was very normal for gift cards to expire after a year. This is not normal. Again, there was NO EXPIRATION DATE written. I am dumbfounded that a private company would not honor their own gift card or even acknowledge that their card should have had an expiration date and try to compensate me in some way. The front desk employee was not sympathetic or even willing to acknowledge that this was poor customer service. She did not give me the option to talk to someone who had more position than her, but only to file a complaint. Body Essence Medispa might provide good services, I'll never know, but I highly recommend taking your business elsewhere where the customer is valued.

This place is not anywhere I would recommend. I was botched and left with lumps in my forehead terrible bruising in an uneven face upon my first visit. Also resulted in seeing several doctors after the fact. I chose to go here after being a loyal customer of signatures for many years in Charlottesville only to be left looking terrible and in tears at what results I had. Awful is an understatement. I voiced my concerns and went to see my PCP who advised ne to “do my homework” before going to any place for these procedures, that before had given me wonderful results. Well I did my homework and found out that Bosy Essence’s in fact owner had a long history of not lawful practices in her years administering Botox. Resulting in va board of nursing disciplinary actions, and even has had her license reprimanded by the VA board of Nursing! Some hearings she didn’t even attend. These are all public record, I should of done my homework. So naturally when told I needed to be seen to evaluate me to consider a refund I did not think I wanted to have anyone working beneath the owner and founder who’s license was reprimanded to evaluate or do anything else to my now botched, lumpy, uneven, strange face. I’m not sure how this place is still in business. I think at minimum a refund should be issued. If this happened to them I’m sure they would at minimum expect the same! I urge anyone to please do your homework before u end up like me. It’s been a nightmare and cost me my confidence and have been not thought of in regards to my awful experience. Do your homework! Don’t wish you did and end up like me. The lady posted pic was before injections the rest are after.

I can not say enough nice things about Body Essence. If you haven't been here, you need to make an appointment as soon as possible. The staff at this Spa are amazing, and make you feel just like family. They answer questions and talk you through all procedures. I love the fact that they suggest things but then encourage you by saying it's a good idea to think about. The facility is beautiful, well maintained, and extra clean. My favorite thing is their monthly specials with a variety of great services. I have never walked out of this Spa not feeling like a million bucks. I highly recommend this Spa.
