The salon is well kept and clean. The stylists are amazing. Really good at what they do. They’ve squeezed my husband in at the last minute with just a text. And my mom, who never goes to a salon, was so happy with the service she will be back also! Definitely recommend to everyone because each stylist has their own strengths.

As someone new to the area, finding the right hairstylist was a daunting task, but I'm thrilled to say that Black Amethyst Hair Co. exceeded my expectations! From the moment I walked in, I knew I was in good hands. The ambiance was inviting, and the staff was friendly and professional. My stylist, Currin truly worked magic on my hair. I've struggled in the past to find someone who understood long hair & the desire to keep it long, but she got it immediately. I asked for a trim and she's given me the best haircut I've had in years, with perfectly executed long yet light layers, soft around the front. She was even encouraging when I suggested moving my part, which turned out to be the perfect change, and I couldn't be happier with the result. My hair feels refreshed and looks fantastic, and I've received so many compliments since my visit. I highly recommend Black Amethyst Hair Co. to anyone in the area looking for a skilled and intuitive stylist. You'll walk out feeling like a whole new person!

I go to MARIA! She took me from black to a gorgeous blended blonde. I get compliments on my hair everyday. She also did a treatment on my hair and its natural curl returned and my hair doesn’t feel damaged. Very knowledgeable, fantastic hair cutter, fun and easy to chat with, and wonderful and blonding. Maria is the girl!

Currin is absolutely the best! I was so nervous the first time I went to a Fancy Salon instead of a Barber. My wife wanted me to go and I was not happy with my Barber. Currin is the most happy, friendly person in the world and makes you feel like you have been friends forever. And she makes me LOOK GOOD too! I will never go back to a Barber!

Absolutely love this place!!! Currin does an amazing job on my hair EVERY.SINGLE.TIME. She's the absolute sweetest and you will leave feeling like a new person and that you were just hanging out with one of your girlfriends. I've dyed my hair many times from blonde to red and cut it with short layers, long layers, with and without bangs and she has excelled each time. Highly recommend going here, you won't be disappointed!!!!

Currin is the absolute best!! My color is on point, meaning I never have roots showing! She is an excellent stylist, always easy to maintain, even when I come from the pool or spa with wet hair, it drys great … superb cut. Currin is creative when I want a new look and never disappoints. I've been going to Currin since around 2017. She's the absolute best! She's never backed down from my crazy hair color ideas, but she's also realistic about what we can achieve without ruining my hair or curl pattern. Plus, basically everytime I get a haircut I just ask her what she thinks we should take off and it turns out awesome! She's the sweetest ever and my mom loves going to her place now too! I'm so so glad she's got her own shop now.

This place is gorgeous! The owner Currin is one of the sweetest people you'll ever meet and her staff are just as sweet. I went to Ann to have my haor refreshed after years of not being able to go to a salon. She worked tirelessly to get me to my dream hair and I couldn't be happier. My hair didn't Cooperate but Ann did her think and wrangled it to a beautiful purple balayage! 💜 I will definitely go back and will recommend everyone I know! Worst experience ever. Don’t waste your time or money with Angela. I left the salon with color and toner in my hair. My hairline was purple from the shampoo, when I asked Angela to wash my hair she said she didn’t have time. I had to go home and wash my hair. I specifically told Angela what I wanted, even text her the directions from my colorist in Los Angeles. When your told icy platinum blonde use ash not golden you shouldn’t leave the salon with yellow hair. I specifically asked for permanent color root smudge to cover grays and ash blonde highlights with heavy around face to blend grays with a money piece on the left. Well that’s not what happened. I should’ve known when I arrived and Angela had yellow hair that I should’ve left. Overall horrible experience, worst highlighting I’ve ever had and she didn’t follow instructions. Angela obviously doesn’t know what heavy highlights around the face with a money piece or the difference between ash and golden blonde. I left the salon with yellow hair and no root smudge and hair full of color and toner. Also, the salon is very dark inside and old people vibes with green pants everywhere. Hard to see the color due to poor lighting and the black paint. Im sure it’s an older owner from the ambience and decorations. A hip, younger clientele salon would be bright and welcoming so you could actually see the hair color when finished; instead of needing to walk outside. Not the best area for a salon, a shady parking lot with cars with people smoking marijuana joints, listening to loud rap outside of the tattoo parlor next door.
