I recently had the pleasure of experiencing the Japanese Head Spa treatment at Beneath The Surface Spa in Madison, and let me just say—it was pure magic. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was serene and calming, instantly putting me at ease. The treatment itself was nothing short of transformative. My scalp had never felt cleaner, and I had no idea just how much buildup had accumulated over time until it was all gently lifted away. It was like the weight of the world had been removed from my head! The process was not only thorough but incredibly relaxing, almost meditative. The soothing touch of the therapist combined with the expertly crafted techniques transported me to a state of complete relaxation. Every product used in the treatment was of the highest quality, and the scents were absolutely heavenly—fresh, subtle, and calming. It was as if each product had been chosen specifically to enhance the overall experience. I left feeling not only refreshed but truly rejuvenated, with a clean, balanced scalp that had been cared for in a way I’d never experienced before. I cannot recommend Beneath The Surface Spa enough, especially if you're looking for a way to pamper yourself and reset both mind and body. If you're in Madison, this is a must-try experience that I guarantee will leave you feeling as though you're floating on air. I’ll be back for sure!

Hi! I love both the spa and blow dry bar. Marcia is a fantastic esthetician and can fix any skin concern or cosmetic issue! Elizabeth corrected a haircut I received a couple of months ago from a different stylist and gave me an amazing blow out that has now lasted 3 days no touch-ups! Love love love all the services!!!

I have been a loyal customer for over a year and a half, and I cannot recommend this place enough! Melanie is excellent for facials. She is always professional and has extensive experience working with different skin types, including mature and Black/African American skin. Melanie takes the time to evaluate your skin's unique needs, and everything she has recommended has significantly reduced my fine lines and kept my skin glowing. Booking with her is very easy, especially online. Beneath the Surface is the place to book if you're looking for a top-notch facial experience with a friendly staff.

I come in for lash extensions and a facial with Melanie each month and always leave glowing. She explains everything she is going to do each time, and is always willing to answer my questions - plus she is always patient with me even though I continually show up with dehydrated skin! :) Highly recommend. Everyone here is so nice!

I had an incredible facial by Marcia. I look five years younger. My skin is so clean and well hydrated. I needed extractions. I had no red marks at the end of the service, and was able to enjoy my dinner date last night. I can’t wait to come back next month.

This is my favorite spa and Jennifer is wonderful! The spa is low key but don’t be fooled. The services are 100% professional and excellent and the prices are great. All the estheticians I have had have been great. It is easy to make an appointment online and I highly recommend everything about it.

Best spa experience around! I have been coming to Beneath the Surface Spa and specifically seeing Marcia for facials for at least one year now. I would not trust my face with anyone else!! Marcia is super knowledgeable about all things skincare and never pushes products or services. Because of her expert knowledge, I've implemented specific products into my skincare routine that have absolutely changed my skin for the better. While you're there.. don't skip booking a massage as well. It was one of the best massages I've gotten and I'll definitely be booking another soon. All around 10/10 experience every single time I go!!!

Such a great experience!! I was on vacation in the Poconos and drove into NJ for a day to explore. I got my first ever facial and dermaplan here and my skin was glowing! The front receptionist was so incredibly nice explaining things to do in NJ. She gave me really good advice of where to see the skyline of NY- it did not disappoint!!

Everyone was very friendly and made the whole entire experience from beginning to end very pleasurable. Everything is constantly sanitize for your safety. Booking and checkout was quick and easy. Received back facial which helped clear up my problem area in a relaxing atmosphere. A wonderful self care day.

I've had 2 facials at Beneath the Surface and they have both been amazing! I've had facials in the past and my skin never felt truly different. After leaving Beneath the Surface, my skin is glowing and feels amazing! I even signed up for their monthly membership :-) Everyone who works there is great. Marcia did my facials and she is so personable and does a great job. I've sent 2 friends here who were also extremely happy!

My first experience ever with lash extensions was with Marcia. It was wonderful!! I have no complaints. Marcia was very professional. The products she uses were excellent quality. I wanted a classy natural look, not to overdone and that's exactly what she did. My lashes looked amazing and lasted forever! Truth told, I did take very good care of them. I highly recommend Beneath the Surface.
