He cuts well, but unfortunately he is very money hungry. I'm not normally one to always be able to give tips due to my financial situation. First time I got a haircut from him, I paid the full price he asked for but I wasn't able to tip, and he told me that I should tip next time. I apologized and told him I would. I came a second time, I got my haircut, I paid the full price, and I gave him a tip. However, he complained about my tip being too low given that I didn't tip last time, and he asked me to go find another salon. Not a friendly guy to those who don't have a lot of money to give him. I am here to pay the price for what I believe is reasonable for a haircut. If you think you should be paid more for your work, then increase your prices accordingly.

Ben and his assistant are a fantastic team. I am picky about my haircuts, and I dread looking for new people to do my hair. I showed Ben a couple of pictures. He asked me some questions. He did a wonderful job of blending my layers. Since I have thick hair, I like the results when stylists use a razor to thin my hair, and Ben did an excellent job of this. (I will only be in San Fran for 3 more weeks. I wish I had found Ben sooner.)

I started to go to Ben's salon for haircut in the past year, and I have been going back ever since because Ben is such a great hairdresser and stylist. I would show Ben pictures of the hair styles I like, and Ben would adjust the haircut according to my hair. He would also teach me how to take care of my hair afterward. He is friendly and detail oriented. He takes the time to make sure the details are perfect when cutting my hair. Highly recommend Be Salon for haircut!

每次来三番都会找Ben 弄头发。Ben 在香港时我的头发都是交给他打理，可惜他后来移民三番了。Ben 是个技术过硬而又非常细致的人，力求完美。我今天染发根，染发剂一点味道都没有，Elke细致到每一根发丝，染发前会在发际抹点防护膏，之后会仔细抹干净。打听后知道他们每年都会去日本人肉优质的美发护发产品回来，就是为了保证顾客使用到合适的产品。吹完头发，感觉非常干净清爽和时尚。非常感谢Ben 和Elke的五星贴心服务，还会再来！

Love this place and the two salon owners, Ben and Elke! I don’t trust anybody else to touch my hair but these two. Always a luxurious, relaxing head massage and wash from Elke and meticulous attention-to-detail from Ben’s expert hands.

Got a great bob haircut here. Prices are super reasonable and it comes with a wonderful shampoo as well. Ben is very personable and detail-oriented -- he spent way more time making sure things looked good than I expected. Notably, he gave great advice on how to do my everyday hair look.
