Johaun is clearly a well studied and empathetic massage therapist. The ambiance of Be Balanced Bodywork is lovely, the massage itself was thorough with a wide variety of techniques and obviously was tailored to my needs. He made me feel welcome, safe and heard, as well as checking in with me about pressure and much needed glute work. Thank you!

We enjoyed a couples massage in our home. Our experience was one of the best we’ve had. Very intuitive with our needs as well as having the service done in the coziness of our own home. 5+++++ stars!!

I feel like God let Johaun borrow his hands when he gave me my massage. Oh my goodness, I've never felt so relaxed. Johaun was informative without being a condescending "know-it-all" as he explained reasons for my underlying pain. He was nuanced with his touch in that there were areas where he applied just the right amount of force and pressure, and than also moments where it felt like he was doing a tapping move on my temples. Literally the perfect pressure at all times! Scheduling was easy (and half the price of other massage locations that I've looked at), he was quite personable, and the facility was very clean and relaxing once I made my way inside. I'll definitely be back! Actually, I'm looking forward to it as I'm already scheduled for a massage next month. 🙂

In July of 2024 I had top surgery and some dear friends give me a gift certificate to get lymphatic drainage treatment from Johaun. He was very professional and knowledgeable, made sure to answer any questions I had, and worked with me on positions and placement that I could comfortably do just a couple weeks after surgery. Johaun has a very comforting touch and manner, and I sometimes fell asleep during our sessions. I noticed great results from his work, my recovery from surgery went smoothly with no serious swelling or healing issues. When I wasn't sleeping, Johaun and I would have great conversations while he worked. He was great at putting me at ease and building a professional relationship with me. I would highly recommend Johaun for any of his services. He was attentive to aftercare and hydration as well, and very flexible if I needed to reschedule. He communicated well in all situations. All in all it was a great experience and well worth the cost.

Johaun was professional, kind, pleasant, respectful, and clearly an ally to the LGBTQIA+ community. I felt very welcome and safe as a non-binary person in his space. The space was calming and relaxing and the massage was wonderful! 10/10 would recommend.

Johaun has a beautiful massage space and does a great job. I came with a stiff shoulder and neck and afterwards felt so relaxed and was able to move 😊 I highly recommend him, I'm looking forward to my next one.

Be balanced bodywork was amazing! The office was very welcoming and inviting. The massage therapist that worked on me found knots I didn’t even know I had. I felt immediate relief from my stress, tension, and pain. I can’t wait to go back!!!

Had a deep tissue and hot pink hemilyan salt stone massage done by Johaun. It was phenomenal. I immediately felt my muscles were more relaxed and my range of motion was way better. He was very professional and I feel amazing.

I have been getting massages over many years. Johaun is the best of it all! His massage technique is phenomenal! His professionalism is much appreciated! He is very friendly but not so talkative that you forget what he was there to do! I have been getting massages from him regularly and will continue to do so! *************************** I just wanted to reiterate what I wrote before! I had an appointment last week that I missed because I wound up with a last minute conflict! Johaun worked me in very soon and had a great attitude when I had to cancel and throughout my rescheduled massage which I just got! Wonderful as always!!

Johaun did a great job with taking time to educate himself before my appointment on my disability: isthmic spondylolisthesis. He ensured that I was comfortable while removing tension so my back muscles would release without causing damage to the slipped disc. Yesterday, I wasn’t able to walk and move very much. After my appointment with him, I was able to stretch & have some of my mobility back. He even took the time to follow up with me with more tips on how I can moderate my pain levels better.

I’ve had multiple massages from Johaun, and could not be happier. He’s professional, personable, tuned in to what is going on with my body, and where extra work is needed. His strong hands can go deep when needed, but has never gone TOO deep. If I was smarter, I’d go see him more often!

Truly amazing human being! There were major issues with a missed booking via another booking platforms mistake that they were not willing to help me out with. Johaun truly went above and beyond to fix the issue at his own expense. Would never hesitate to use him in the future.
