MADE AN APPT, paid half, and they weren't even there. Doors locked, no notification that they weren't there. People waiting outside for their appointments. Drove all the way there for nothing. Waste of time, very inconsiderate.

I love Jess and all that she does everytime I leave her salon I feel refreshed and I feel like a new woman. I wouldn’t and can’t trust anyone else w my hair. Used the website to book an appointment with my favorite hairstylist who has been cutting my hair for 4 years. The salon called to say she was sick and can I reschedule. I agreed and did. The following week when I showed up for my appointment, I was told my stylist called in sick again. Turns out that my hairstylist hasn’t been at the salon for 3 months and they booked me for her anyway. I drove 30 minutes to get a subpar haircut and pay full price simply because I was already there and didn’t want to waste and hour of driving to another appointment. Do not recommend this salon

West Babylon location: I made an appointment on the phone for SUNDAY 6/30 for a Brazilian blowout. Got there at 9am, my appointment time, and the door was locked, lights were off. I called numerous times, waited for an unreasonable amount of time and then left. I was told that the power was off (which doesn't check out because if someone discovered it was out that day they'd still be there and no one ever called me to cancel.) I gave you the benefit of the doubt because I live very close and always saw this salon and wanted to try it. So I rescheduled, again on the phone with someone, my keratin to today, SUNDAY 8/18 at 10am. Both times I got the automatic Confirmation text which is sent "yes" confirming both appointments. I called around 9:15 TWO times and the phone rang and rang with no answer (red flag, I should've have known). I show up to my appointment and same thing- doors locked, lights off and no one to be seen. I knocked on the door in case someone was in the back and I'm still sitting outside writing this email. I won't make another appointment because "fool me twice, shame on me".

Great place. Amazing people. Highly recommend. Update Ashley no longer there. So I left. Company keeps sending reminders confirming appt with her knowing she left. Be aware.

Made an appointment to get my hair blown out for a wedding this past weekend. They took a deposit and sent me a text confirmation but no one was at the studio for my scheduled appointment. Called and messaged them on social media but never heard back from anyone. Very frustrating experience. I had to call multiple times to finally get through and receive a refund.

This salon was great at the beginning and then they let personal issues get in the way. I made an appt with one of the hair dressers to have it canceled and rescheduled to have it canceled again telling me that the salon is having issues with the owners. I had put a deposit down for my appt (required when making online appointments) and I’m stop waiting to receive my deposit back after a month. I’ve called, contacted hair dresser, and fb messaged them and no reply. It’s unfortunate bc they are so talented but their business practices are terrible.

Came in to get my hair done for a wedding and Tatum exceeded my expectations. Got so many compliments and my hair stayed all night long. Was also super comfortable. Will be coming back to see my girl always 😘

I was in the market for a new shop. I have found the PERFECT hair salon! Ashley (owner) spent time with me, comforting me about my previous haircut (from another salon). I came to BUA upset about the haircut I had previously gotten. Ashley not only comforted my anxiety but after my blowout (only) appointment-she came over with her shears and “fixed” up my old haircut. Upon payment I was told I was being charged for only a blowout in which I made my initial appointment for. This was something I NEVER experienced elsewhere. I went back the following week for hair color with another stylist. . Again Ashley made her way over to me asking how I was and how I liked my hair from the previous week. Ashley is a true class act! She presents as a wonderful business owner treating “her girls” with the utmost respect. Ashley exudes warmth and kindness. Ashley has created a beautiful vibe in the newly opened shop (Nov 2023). The vibe is very laid back. The stylist are all professional! I absolutely love that the stylists aren’t jealous of one another and actually encourage the customer to use any of the stylist. They all compliment one another. I do believe with Ashley at the helm, these young professionals will be able to grow in their profession! I have found MY PLACE! I would highly recommend BUA salon to anyone in the market for a new salon!!!!

There is a woman named Bean apparently that works there? I asked to speak with anyone BUT her because of how unprofessional she was on the phone. It was so disgusting. She said none of the owners were there and she is the only one working but I could speak with her dog, Frank????? What a bad name she gave this salon and I will NEVER recommend them. She unfortunately put a terrible taste in my mouth. I was looking to book my girlfriend's bridal party that I'm in and wanted to speak with someone regarding it. I don't know what crawled up this girl's rear but my GOD, how rude she was to me! They lost out on 7 girls plus a bride... the cursing she did towards me just because I was asking for someone who was experienced with upstyles. Very sad that there's people in this world like this and being in the beauty industry, she makes us all look like white class trash. She should be fired just for how she spoke to me! I've met the owner, Jess before who is lovely by the way. I told "Bean" that the bride's name was Christina and she told me i was giving Jesus Christ a bad name... She started my day off on the wrong foot. I'll be looking elsewhere.

I could not have had a more amazing experience than with Tatum at Bua! I had 2 rows of bua babe extensions installed as well as my color refreshed and I cannot express how amazing the experience was! Tatum is such an amazing stylist and I cannot believe how amazing my hair looks, between the blend of the extensions and the color. I have gotten so many compliments on my hair and I will definitely be going back!!

I first went to Bua Salon when they opened in Oceanside and I had just met Jess at a coffee shop I was working at the time and she saved my hair then. A couple years later I saw she opened a salon a little further East closer to where I live now and after a few years of beating my hair up on my own, I needed Jess to fix my hair again🙈 I was interested in extensions and wouldn’t trust anyone else. Both Jess and Marissa totally crushed it and gave me the hair and color of my dreams. If you’re even considering extensions, go for it. My hair hasn’t looked this good in years and a Bua Salon experience is priceless. It’s the perfect blend of salon meets home away from away. Has the most perfect aesthetic and the cutest Barbie pink bathroom I’ve ever seen are Honestly, couldn’t ask for anything more when getting your hair done. Thanks so much for saving my hair again, I wouldn’t trust anyone else won’t be going anywhere besides a Bua salon🤍✨

The salon is amazing! From the second you walk in you are made to feel welcome and comfortable! Ashley is the best! So knowledgable, personable and just a beautiful soul. She never disappoints whether it is a cut or color! Brought my daughter for her cut and blow out with Marissa and she is obsessed!! So easy to talk to and really took her time to do what my daughter asked for. The entire team at Bua is incredible!

This salon is amazing! Very professional staff and a beautiful, clean atmosphere. I went last week to dye my hair from dark brown to a red/strawberry blonde. My stylist was Kaitlyn, she gave me exactly what I wanted. And was so kind and patient with me through the entire 6 hour process, making adjustments, listening to my concerns, and really make sure I was satisfied with my hair. I came in today to have it styled again, I got a blow out done by Bean, who was equally as kind and did an amazing job! Will be returning again and again.
