I was really looking forward to a relaxing gel manicure and pedicure, but my experience at this salon was beyond disappointing. From the moment my appointment started, it felt like my technician was rushing through the process rather than taking the time to do my nails properly. Sure enough, less than two days later, the polish started peeling off—something that should never happen with gel. Hoping to give them a chance to make it right, I went back to get them fixed. But to my frustration, the polish started peeling again the very same day. At this point, it was clear that the quality of service just wasn’t there. I paid for a long-lasting, professional manicure and pedicure, but what I got was anything but. I’m incredibly frustrated and disappointed, not just because of the poor workmanship but because I feel like I wasted my time and money. Unfortunately, I won’t be returning to this salon, and I can’t recommend it to anyone looking for quality service.

I came here on a Sunday hoping for a peaceful manicure pedicure. It was an unbelievably unprofessional, rushed and nasty experience. My nails simply needed to be cut, shaped and buffed. After a lot of marketing and fluff, this was not done. The treatment was rough and my nails and hands were injured. The pedicure was not better - rush, fast service. It was as if this was a fast food enterprise, and they wanted to rush as many customers through as possible, with no regard for the quality of service. Extremely disappointing and shockingly. I am not surprised to see that other customers suffered a similar experience.

Absolutely disappointed in the waxing services I received on Saturday. The worker rushed me in and out and in doing so legitimately removed layers of skin from my eyebrow area and upper lip. The room was dim so I was unable to see the extent of the damage until I was home. When I called to speak to a manager I was told one would not be available until Friday 12/13 and when I asked for a refund they advised I would not be getting one and instead would be offered an additional free waxing service - as if I would want to go back. Absolutely terrible customer service. The pictures show the day of result and now the scabbing two days later. The worst part is my wedding is on 12/13! Absolutely ridiculous.

I have been to this particular nail salon previously and had no real issues, but my most recent experience this week was a problem. I was getting a mani/pedi and during the scrubbing during the pedicure she scrubbed so hard she actually scraped a heel on one foot and both big toes. I didn’t realize how bad it was until I got home that evening. As far as my manicure, it was ok but even using gloves to do dishes 3 of my nails started chipping so bad I had to take off the polish. I live 35 miles from the salon and don’t have time to return for them to repair which is why I just removed the polish. I doubt I will return to this salon again.

I’m simply disappointed with the waxing services at Azulene Day Spa. Earlier this year, I went in to get my eyebrows waxed and broke out in painful, pus-filled bumps all over the waxed area. I rarely experience facial acne, and this reaction was entirely unusual for me. The only explanation I can think of is poor cleanliness in their equipment or waxing area. I’ve been getting my eyebrows waxed for years at various salons and have never had this issue before. I gave my skin months to heal and went to a different salon afterward, where I had no problems—no bumps, no irritation, just a normal waxing experience. Unfortunately, I decided to give Azulene another chance, and I deeply regret it. Once again, I’m dealing with painful irritation weeks later. This isn’t a technique issue but rather a serious cleanliness problem. Their hygiene standards are unacceptable, and it’s clear they do not prioritize the health and safety of their customers. If you value your skin and your health, steer clear of Azulene Day Spa for any waxing services. It’s absolutely not worth the risk.

The WORST ever manicure pedicure I have ever had in my life. Everything is fake and for show only. Nails chipped after two days. They applied polish primarily in the center of the toes. Everything was uneven and unprofessional. NEVER ever again. Ever.

Worse experience called ahead and booked a massage, mani and pedi for my mothers Birthday she arrived on time and received the massage. Cindy was great. They then told me it would be 15 min for her pedi and mani. I asked her to make sure because the last time we had been there we were told an hour and waited to be told only one of us could be done. She then came back and said it would be like 30-45 minutes. We had an appointment and eating 30-45 minutes is rediculous. Thanks for ruining my mother’s birthday gift. I will be posting this on my Facebook page and I will not return

If you come here for the first time make sure you get your free complimentary glass of wine. I was never offered mine and found out when I was leaving that they offer it to first timers. Other than that, beautiful place and great job on the nails.

Went two get two nails fixed and the girl that did them was horrible!! She could care less what color I was trying to match and then when it didn’t match at all was mad I had her change it. Then instead of taking the wrong color off she painted over it and even cut my finger!! Then when I was paying she waited to see if I was going to tip!! I only went here because I needed the nails fixed and they didn’t do my nails in the first place! Horrible experience!! Called to tell them what happened and they don’t do refunds I mean imagine that!!! Ridiculous!

Consider this no stars. My daughter and I have given Azulene Gainesville multiple chances. There is some wrong with their gel polish or their lamps. The polish is lumpy and doesn’t dry. The worst part is that they refuse to give refunds for what is the worst manicure/pedicure we have ever received. Don’t go here unless you like wasting money.

Cici was absolutely incredible!! I got a gel X set and she took such good care of me! She was extremely kind and did a beautiful job on my nails. I would recommend 10 out of 10 to go again especially to Cici!!!!

First, this place only has so many stars because they basically pay people to rate them. 5 stars= $5 off. Not that it will help much with the extreme prices they have. I wanted to get my nails done for vacation, I took a peice of my clothing with me to match a specific outfit. After choosing the color. The nail tech, Annie, was nearing the finish of the last gel coat (I only got gel over my natural nails that I had been growing out), it was time for the seal. Before she sealed, I had mentioned to Annie, who was my nail tech, that my polish was clumpy and goopy. She insisted that it wasn't and started speaking very fast in a different language. She called another tech over and I showed her my nails, she suggested to put sparkle over it and insisted that it was the color I picked out and not the slop job that Annie did. I decided to agreed to try the sparkle (which did not impove it by much). In anger, Annie grabbed the stand my hands were STILL resting on, resulting in them falling to the counter and continued to pack everything with haste shoving all of her equipment in her drawer and demanded that I sit and wait for someone else to do my nails. She expected me to wait AGAIN for someone to be able to finish my nails. Her frustration was evident. I understand that some times people have bad days, and I've never posted a reveiw like this, however I've also never been treated so badly/rude. I called the manager, Nathan, and left my number 3 times within the week, asking him to call me back so we may discuss this incident, however he never called back and was always unavailable. With as expensive as this place is, I expected more from my service. I've also gotten several mediocre pedicures from this place, but never complained, as I understand that they were short staffed and most of the people where new, but never blatantly rude like Annie was. I'll never go back here again. With the direction the world is going now, I'd rather work hard for a service that works hard for me.

I'm done going here. Just leave disappointed with the poor quality. The guys that work there are way too rough, always leave my nails looking awful. Either bubbles in the acrylics or leaving my hands bloody when taking them off. They can't shape my nails. I had to ask several times to fix their work. Just got it acrylics removed and there is still so much acrylic left on my nail beds! So frustrating!!

JULY 2024 - POOR, SHODDY PEDICURE ONE OF THE WORST PEDICURES I'VE GOTTEN. EVER. DON'T BE FOOLED BY THE NICE DECORATIONS AND INTERIOR OF THE SHOP. My pedicure was a total of 20 min from start to finish. No exaggeration here, the "massage" was about 45 sec per leg. The guy who did my nails did not paint them appropriately, so someone came to "fix" them. Instead of taking the polish off, they layered it 4 times......resulting in thick polish that came out uneven and sloppy (ESPECIALLY on big toe). ***SEE PHOTOS*** **The WHOLE time, they were all talking in their language - extremely unprofessional and rude.** After the pedicure, there was no way i was going to let the same person do the gel manicure on my hands. I LEFT AND DO NOT PLAN ON RETURNING.

Very disappointed in my recent experience. I've gone here when I used to live in Ocala and continued to go occasionally in Gainesville. I've gotten fancier services and treated much better but this last time I just got a basic pedicure and it was like a completely different experience, although part of it could have been the technician I got who seemed new. To start with when we arrived my mom asked if complimentary wine comes with every service because this was for my birthday and we were told it was but then I never received any, which is okay its not a big deal but then I sit down and am told I have no nail. I won't fault the technician for the paint job being mediocre because I had just clipped my toe nails so I understand it wasn't a lot to work with. Then not long into the service he mentioned how pale I am and I need the sun. I laughed and agreed and he continued to suggest ways I could get sun but I just brushed it off. Then when finishing up the paint job I noticed he was using his nail to clean the edges which isn't the cleanest but I didn't care at first, until he accidentally cut me under my nail by trying to swipe underneath it but keep in mind my nails are short so there's no nail to go under. He did spray my toes with alcohol before and after which helped relieve my fears of infection and that's when I noticed the stinging underneath my toes but I just thought it wasn't very clean or professional. Then right at the end when we are finished he tries to pull down my jeans over my calfs which I didnt ask for and says they are too tight and I proceed to pull them down myself. At the end this was about $64 not including tip. I'm giving three starts because I've gone other times and was treated much better but today I left actually feeling embarrassed and worse about myself. I'm someone who can take a joke but I'm a little insecure because I just had a baby in the last year and am not too happy with my appearance and this was supposed to be a birthday gift. Instead I left with a mediocre paint job and wondering “was my technician just joking around or did I just pay to get insulted?” after a little while comments can sort of add up, first the no nails, then pale skin, then jeans being too tight. Overall I don't think I will come back because there are much cheaper places to get a simple pedicure but I do think if you pay for the more expensive services you get treated better and if you make sure to choose a good technician you will be treated fine. It just sucks I've been a customer since I was a teenager back in Ocala and i actually decided after this last appointment I wasn't gonna come back. Started my birthday off on the wrong foot :(

Worse experience ever. I asked for a manicure and gel extension. The technician did not give me a manicure whatsoever. She did not prep my hand and simply glued the faux nail to my unprepped nails. When I asked if she was going to take my cuticles off she responded with “yeah I file later” and she sure did. She files my skin raw. Three days later all my cuticle is still there and my nails look awful. It was the most painful nail experience ever. Do not recommend!

AZULENE NAILS & DAY SPA II is a great little place off of celebration. As a man, it is a great service and when I go with female friends they have a good experience as well. I personally recommend any of the fruit options for pedicures (I have not done any manicures). They are more on the expensive side, but if you are willing to pay a little more, it is a worthwhile experience, I recommend, 8.5/10.

Edit: the paid reviews are obvious. THERES NOTHING WORSE THAN PAYING A TON OF MONEY FOR A TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE! Here’s your warning! Do yourself a favor and DONT GO TO EMMY! Very unreceptive. Says different prices than what was said by receptionist and super hostile. Did an uneven file on my nails but was confused as to why I wanted her to file more. She was acting so obtuse that I had to pick up the nail file and show her what I wanted. She also manhandled me during the manicure for simply asking her questions. They expect you to let them treat you horribly and feel uncomfortable for asking questions even though we’re are PAYING for the service! They unfortunately were not aware I spoke vietnamese and they spoke negatively about me and others in vietnamese

Love this nail salon! Emmy is my nail tech , she does both my full set and pedicures, she does amazing gentle, detailed work, nails are alway looking fresh ! My sister sees Annie for her nails … both ladies do excellent work, keep us laughing and coming back !

I enjoyed the facial, and the manicure and pedicure were excellent. However, I was slightly disappointed that the gel on my nails only lasted a week. By day three, the nail polish was already coming off. Unfortunately, the massage was my least favorite ever.

Rude, does not listen to requests being made, charges extra for length of nails and shortening nails. Incompetent nail techs that cannot do designs and does not admit that they are not qualified to do designs. Argues with customer. Very unpleasant f. Would steer clear from this place. Refuses to fix nor refund purchase. Unsatisfactory is the nicest thing to say about this place.
