1st-I don't have short hair. 2nd-I called inquiring about you doing my DAUGHTER'S HAIR, not mine. I asked how much you would charge to wash, deep condition, and cornrow my daughter's hair, to which you informed me you don't wash clients hair; they wash their own before coming to you, and that you didn't have that type of equipment because you worked out of your home. I never offered you $40; money never changed hands, and I have an aversion to cash...I use plastic, so you posted not only a rude response, but an outright lie, as well. The reason for the 1 star review is because you were very rude when I called, and you have shown it was well deserved. Have a good day.

Awa did a wonderful job on my hair! She was so sweet, communicative & accommodating. She worked with me the whole day on a last minute appointment to find/create a style that would fit our limited timeframe. Highly recommended ♥️

She can braid good and I'm use to the African braiders in New York and she is just as good but just try it for urself at least one time and decide for urself.

Ms.Awa saved the day! I am preparing for Vacay and the stylist that I booked with didn't show up. I was in dire need and Awa was able to assist and come through! She braided me down neatly and quickly. I can't THANK her enough. I look Beautiful with my New Style!

I recently had my hair done by awa and had the best experience. It started off a little hectic as we had to run and purchase hair a few times but awa was very understanding and patient and even with the running around she still managed to complete my hair at the time she quoted me. My hair is full and impeccably done and I would absolutely recommend her to anyone inquiring where to go.

My daughters hair turned out great, she got boho braids and I can't tell her nothing , I will be next to get mine done , Awa was funny, fast , she braids to grow your hair not to style.

Pieces of my hair didn't get braided and 5 weeks in it looks unkempt and the lady was to much in a hurry and kept on yelling at me for moving my head but she was pulling on my hair and had me drive her to the store for groceries too!

I have a lot of bald spots around my head, and let me tell you Awa has talent to make my head look full again. Thank you so much for your kindness, the care and passion you put into your work. It shows how much she puts in the effort to go the extra mile for the customer (me). Also the prices are really affordable for the talent that she has, I would say the best in Gainesville. I recommend her, very trustworthy.
