Avina is extremely knowledgeable in her field of massage therapy and has helped me immensely with back pain. I always look forward to my appointments with her and feel so rejuvenated after each session. My appointments now are merely maintenance and I use her advice regularly to maintain good health. I call it the "best place on earth" that how I feel every time I lay face down on Avina message table. Avina is amazing at knowing where I hurt without me even telling her, she is magical. I have been to many different Massage therapists over the last 27 years and have never as happy as I have with Avina. She is an excellent therapist, her knowledge of the body is amazing and no matter what you’re going through she always has a solution. Whether it’s exercises that you can do or information on your condition that might help you on the internet or in a book etc . Her knowledge on healthy living and how that all affects the body is unbelievable!! Thank you Avina!!

My husband and I been attending Ms. Avina for the last 2 years. I can honestly say that you won’t get a better massage. With the correct pressure, Ms. Avina knows exactly the right areas to work on. Avina is warm, friendly, extremely knowledgeable and a highly skilled practitioner. I started treatments, visceral massage, for a hiatus hernia in 2016. Avina has been supportive, encouraging and knowledgeable through my many health issues these last 3+ years. Avina adapts her treatment to what my body will handle that day, supplies tips to assist between treatments. Avina's treatments have definitely improved my quality of life. Pain significantly reduced, medications reduced or eliminated and range of motion in one badly injured joint restored. Avina is amazing and I feel blessed to have such talent in Grand Forks.

Avina provides a very safe and holistic massage therapy environment. My children and I have been benefiting from her massages for several years. In addition to massage, Avina provides us with stretches that benefit our bodies in between massage treatments. She takes the time to fully understand our sore spots, and works with consistency and diligence to help us feel better.

I had my first appointment with Avina in July 2019. I have always been reluctant to have a massage due to PTSD from childhood abuse. I was difficult to impossible for me to relax. I explained this to Avina and she listened very carefully and the guided me gently through. I had fallen several times in the previous few months, the final fall being a fairly violent fall in the shower that left me with a terrible whiplash injury. She explained that I had suffered with the injury for so long, it would take some time to treat. After only a few treatments, I was able to reduce the number of NSAIDs I was taking daily, and ultimately stop taking them entirely. I subsequently decided that regular massage would be something I would commit to for my self-care. Avina is very knowledgeable about all aspects of health and nutrition—in addition to her extensive knowledge of physiology. She has helped improve my sleep quality, which has also been a life-long challenge. We are incredibly blessed to have such a talented and committed health professional in our little town!
