I would give this zero stars. Just scamming people. Please avoid this place. First time booking this place and it was a terrible experience. I was able to book this place based on their appointment availability for Tues Dec 24. I couldn’t schedule a 90 min so they told me to call them after I book the apt to switch from 60 to 90. When I did call they told me they are not open. I said then how come I was able to schedule an appointment. They told me I should have checked their hours. Then I asked for a refund on my deposit and said they couldn’t help me. I had to cancel it via the online appointment. Once I did I received no notification of my refund other than her telling me I have to wait 5-6 business days. While trying to sort all this out she hung up on my call and then didn’t pick up until I called from my husband’s phone. Terrible customer service and confusing online appointment set up. I didn’t even make it to even experience the service. I was turned off by their customer service and help. Not sure if I’ll receive my refund but will have to call my cc company and dispute it if I don’t receive the payment back. She literally didn’t even apologize and hung up while I was talking to her. I even called 2 days ago to see if I can book over the phone and she said she couldn’t help me and that I can only book online. However their online availability is not up to date. So be very careful. I am not sure how to even remove my cc number from their database now. Update: it’s been 3 weeks and I have not received my refund. Second update: reached out for a refund Jennifer who answered the phone was supposed to check into my refund on Monday, never received a call back or update on this. I had to call my cc company and dispute the charge. Please avoid this place. Not sure how it has good reviews. Terrible first time experience with no support from staff/Jennifer. Would give this negative stars. Not even worth a 0.

Their head treatment is incredible! Worth every penny, and honestly, I feel like I was given so much more than I expected for the price! The fact that they show you a before and after of your scalp on a screen to prove the treatment works was very insightful and I enjoyed every minute of it.

We recently had a scalp treatment at this spa and I feel compelled to share my wonderful experience. Both my husband and I were extremely pleased with the results. Our hair felt rejuvenated and revitalized after the treatment. Jennifer, who provided our service, was exceptional. She was knowledgeable, thoughtful, and took the time to explain the process and answer all of our questions. Her professionalism and expertise truly enhanced our experience. I with my friend had a scalp treatment package, the first time at this place. I like the scalp scan before the beginning. The girl told us about couple of problems and suggested the correction on home care. I love this place! Highly recommend the place. Call them to make an appointment.

I recently visited this scalp treatment spa, and it was truly an amazing experience from start to finish. The staff was warm, welcoming, and highly professional, making sure I felt comfortable and well taken care of throughout the entire visit. The treatment itself was exceptional. The sensation of the water falling on my scalp along with the massage from my head to my shoulders was amazing. I loved the high technology camera showing the oils of my hair. Can’t wait to go back! Please call them and make an appointment.

This place is gorgeous and relaxing. It is new and clean. I had a 60 minutes deep herbal scalp treatment, and this is my first experience that is more fabulous than I expected. Jeniffer is so friendly and professional. My most favorite parts are the hot pack and steam on my head and also the head and neck massage which made me feel so comfortable and relaxed, I fell asleep at the time! After the treatment, I was helped to dry my hair too. I’ll definitely come back and bring my families and friends too!!!

Cannot say enough good things about Aurora Borealis Nails & Spa! The pedi is out of this world - if you like the massage part, this place is for you!!! I have found that most other salons rush through their pedi services, but Aurora is the exact opposite! Highly recommend and cannot wait to come back!

Honestly not sure how this place has good reviews, maybe I was just unlucky. The woman that did my nails was very kind but this was literally the worst salon experience i’ve ever had. I came in and asked for an acrylic full set with french tip. For some reason they kept trying to get me to pick a color when I said I just wanted clear base or light pink base with a white tip. I thought french tip would be the easiest design to execute but apparently not. She then proceeded to apply the THINNEST application of powder acrylic ever… my nails feel like I glued some press on nails on. Then she began to use the electric file on the highest setting and burned every single one of my cuticles. I kept snatching my hand back from her because it hurt so bad but she still kept doing it. I got so frustrated that I told her to just put the top coat on so I could leave, I no longer had the patience to sit for her to do the french tip. She laughed and said “yea this is better anyways it looks like ombré” and that’s when I realized that she was just trying to rush me out of the salon because they were about 15 mins from closing. Also note… the sign at the front desk says they accept AMEX but they don’t. Waste of $60. Choose somewhere else to go.

OMG, so glad I took the chance try something new! I got a manicure and pedicure and the service was beyond great. Not only did the nail shape and polish turn out perfectly, but the leg/foot and arm massage was a great surprise. The massages were longer and more attentive than others I’ve experienced—even just the regular. I also received a little neck massage while I was waiting for my nails to dry. They’re so sweet. I’ll be coming back—my new favorite place!

This was one of the most pleasant experiences with nail salons in downtown Chicago/LakeView that I’ve ever had! The establishment was very clean, smelled nice and had a very appropriate ambiance. Grace did an amazing job on my nails with the dip and the almond shape was to perfection. Lydia did a great job on my French/no chip pedicure. Felt amazing. Thank you for your hospitality Jennifer! I’ll be back for sure.

I was passing by and needed to get my nails done. Decided to give this new place a shot and I am pleasantly surprised. Rina did a great job and took her time doing the powder nails. The place is clean and has a nice aesthetic. I would highly recommend this place.

On a whim to kill time I decided to Google nail shops, luckily someone had just canceled & I was able to walk in & received service right away. LINDA was absolutely amazing!!! The price weren’t ridiculously high for such a chic little nail & spa shop. Wish I didn’t live so far.

So I was in need of a manicure and pedicure and didn’t have time to go to my regular place so to give this place a try. Walking in I was greeted and every thing looked nice, but my issue are there polishes are old you can see the oil at the top of the bottle and I didn’t like the lady coming from the back and spraying Lysol everywhere I was even though I only touched the polish I used. I felt she was doing that because of the color of my skin because when a different race came in the lady didn’t go spray Lysol everywhere she was. My pedicure water was cold I had to request it to be made warmer, I did get offered water. My polishing looks ok bur not worth the money I paid, also don’t like being forced to tip and pay a fee using my card without knowing until my card was swiped .

Such a beautiful place , great prices , and everything is brand new ; they just opened three weeks ago and they’re having 20% off. They’re also super clean , they Lysol after every client and wipe everything down which always nice to see. I got a classic pedicure and it was great. The ladies were also so so nice. Definitely give them a call

This was the best manicure /pedicure that I have ever had! The salon was so clean, technicians were delightful and it was truly so relaxing. The pedicure scrub was warm and the massage was amazing! There was absolutely no odor which every other nail salon has. I always ended up leaving with a headache, but not this time! My dip powder manicure is just beautiful and I can't wait to go back! I highly recommend Aurora Borealis Nail and Spa!

I had the organic manicure. Honestly, one of the best manicures I have had. They did a great job shaping and high attention to the quality (I had some chipping). If you’re looking for a place, I would highly consider here. I walked in on an off hour time. Several appts were being made while I was there so it might be good to call ahead if you don’t live nearby

I received a flyer in the mail for Aurora Borealis after their recent opening and I decided to check it out. It's an added bonus that it's just down the street from me! Upon arriving, I was warmly greeted by the two ladies working. The space was also very charming and calming. Yori gave me a beautiful no chip manicure and regular pedicure and I enjoyed our conversation as well. This was my first nail service since the pandemic began and I plan on going back! Thank you, Aurora Borealis! :)
