Richard at Apt 12 is a hair MAGICIAN!! 🪄He has perfected the art of blonde (not even just blonde, hair in general) and he is truly a gem of a human on top of it. Such a pleasure to work with and knows his stuff, he truly wants the best for his clients. I looked for the right blonde specialist in Sarasota for the last 5 years and I've finally found THE person. Make an appointment with him, you won't regret it, promise!

Apartment 12 and Laura are amazing. I have been going to Laura for a couple years for highlights and she does a great job. I was especially happy this last time as I went in for highlights and since I have curly hair and leave the salon with wet hair, it is hard to see the finished product when I am there. Anywho, when I got home and styled my hair myself I was expecting a bit more blonde highlight then I saw. I emailed Laura and she was so kind. She got me in within 2 weeks, which is great considering how booked they are! She added more highlights free of charge and it came out amazing. I am so happy! Thank you to Apartment 12 and Laura! I would 100% recommend!

Hannah gave me a beautiful shaggy cut on my hair. I don't typically leave reviews, especially when it comes to salon services, because I've never quite been happy with any salon or stylist I've seen. Hannah gave me exactly what I was looking for and was constantly checking in with me. She was also very down to earth and easy to talk to, which was very nice as a socially awkward introvert. Will be visiting her again soon for color.

I’ve lived in Denver, San Diego etc and Hannah is by far the most talented hairstylist I’ve ever had! Her attention to detail and thought/time she puts into your haircut and color is amazing! I’ve never posted a google review for a hairstylist but I’m that impressed by her consistent, amazing talent. Thank you Hannah!

I have been coming here for about five years now and this hair studio is amazing! The atmosphere of the studio is very light and calming. Not to mention the decor, it is beautiful and creative, very Alice in Wonderland vibes. All of the stylists I have ever seen were great, from haircuts to hair color they are awesome. Highly rated for a reason! I am very picky with my hair, as most people are.. this studio is the ONLY place I will go. Laura is incredible, my appointments are like little therapy sessions with her 😆❤️

I’ve been going to Laura for about 6 years now and she always makes my hair look FANTASTIC. She’s colored my hair, she’s cut my hair, she’s given me new styles throughout the years, and she’s even taken hoursssss out of her day to fix my hair with what was supposed to be a “temporary” hair dye post-Halloween disaster! She always takes the time to make sure whatever you’re getting done is exactly how you wanted it to be and she truly exceeds all expectations. Everyone at the salon is so friendly and knows what they’re doing. I don’t use anything other than their R+Co products on my hair. The decor is absolutely gorgeous with very chic Wonderland/boho vibes. My hair was very damaged when I first went to Laura years ago and through all of her recommendations and the products she uses, my hair has never been healthier. All of it is beyond worth the expense. I have medium/thick, 2b curly hair and I’ve never been more satisfied or recommended a salon as much as I have Apartment 12 over the years. I tell everyone and anyone I can to go here!

Very good salon except when you treat your customers nasty like how I was treated. I don’t recommend it. Would be 5 stars if it wasn’t for that. I’ve been a customer for 7 years too. Shame on them for their actions.

After a highlight-gone-wrong situation courtesy of another salon, I booked a color correction with Hannah at Apartment 12. Hannah was so kind and listened to what I wanted (also listened to what wasn't working for me with the disappointed service I had received elsewhere). She worked a miracle! I walked out looking incredible and feeling even better. The entire process was so easy - their online booking is perfection, everyone was incredibly nice and it is obvious that all of the stylists are best-in-class. I am so upset that I have passed by Apartment 12 for years thinking it was just too cute to be affordable. Couldn't have been more wrong! Go here. See Hannah. You won't regret it! I will be a loyal client forever.

I have been going to Apartment 12 for 6+ years and absolutely love all the ladies at Apartment 12. Laura and Joanne are fabulous! I have very thin hair and they have done wonders with extensions and keeping me blonde. Plus it is really cute inside. I definitely recommend Apartment 12. It is always an amazing experience.

I have never written a review in my life but I chose this place based on its rating and it most definitely does not deserve it. I went it and asked for balayage hair take in note I’ve had for years and much experience with and when it was finished it looked as if nothing had Changed in my dark brown hair except for some very faint lowlights. I informed the lady of how upset I was of the turnout and she tried to tell me that it would need a second session when I’m reality it would probably take 5 sessions to reach what I’ve had before and is not hard with my hair type speaking I’ve had it like this for 7 years. I was not offered a refund, just a charge of $160 when nothing changed in my hair. I left crying and honestly the work done on my hair was worth nothing. So all I have to say is, if you come here, don’t come for more than a haircut.

I've been going to Laura for about a year and a half and I am satisfied every time. I'm a pretty picky client and she always makes it happen. I've gone lighter and darker and she always manages to keep my hair healthy, while giving me what I asked. Not to mention she's so personable, and easy to chat with!

Laura AND Apartment 12 is the only place I would recommend in Sarasota. Laura has been my stylist for over 15 years and I can't say enough about her talents. I would say I am a picky client and she makes it happen EVERY time, no matter what I request, change or dream of. Apartment 12 is where hair GOALS come true. I get numerous compliments on the color and the health of my hair. JUST STOP reading reviews. AND GO. I promise. xoxoxo
