Very grateful to Angelica for doing a wonderful job on my wedding makeup. I wanted a more low-key getting ready experience so coming into the salon worked well for me. Angelica made me look and feel beautiful while still feeling like myself! I have skin allergies and am allergic to many products. In my trial, we worked together to find products that would work for me. I often struggle to find stylists who are sympathetic and understanding, but Angelica was so patient and supportive! Thank you for everything!

I was ready for a change - no more bangs and balayage! Lori made it super easy to schedule an appointment. Courtney was my stylist and gave me exactly the cut I wanted. The balayage coloring came out less vibrant than desired but Courtney offered for me to come back to have it done to my liking. That is great customer service, and I am loving the look. Also the cost is affordable--I will be back!

Amal Niccoli is an incredible salon with fair prices that will make you feel right at home. I originally went to them for my/my bridal party’s hair & makeup for my wedding day a year ago and they absolutely knocked it out of the park. So much so that I am now a regular customer for hair and lashes, and have referred several others (they have an incredible referral program as well)! I see Colleen for my hair, Courtney for my lash extensions, and Angelica for my lash lifts. They all pride themselves on great work and are extremely personable. Lori, the owner, will always go the extra mile for you. The salon is literally right down the street from me, but I would absolutely still go even if I lived an hour away (and I know other people who literally do drive 1hr+ to go there!). I’m so grateful to everyone at Amal Niccoli and my only regret is that I didn’t start going there sooner! Thank you so much!

Amal Nicoli was recommended to me on an FB Somerville Community group. I am so glad I went there! Lori cut and colored my hair and it turned out great. She is excellent at her craft and also kind and fun! I also had a facial by Angelia and that was very relaxing and my skin felt so soft and clean. Will definitly go back. I highly recommend this salon!

Only wish I discovered Lori @ Amal Niccoli Salon sooner! After many years of cutting my own hair, it got to the point that I needed a hair-rescue. Lori, one of the co-owners, didn't flinch when she saw my mix-textured short curly hair. She was friendly, really listened, was understanding, and did a spectacular job on my hair! She was masterful! Oh and great classic tunes were playing while I was there to add to the comfortable atmosphere. Would highly recommend.

I’ve been going to Amal Niccoli Salon in Ball Square for about 1 year and have always been impressed. My daughter and I were searching for a team to do her bridal party hair and make-up and they were AMAZING! They went all out and treated us all like queens. We all got tons of compliments and the most important is that we were extremely happy. Colleen continues to do my hair and does a fabulous job always taking extra time if I need a little extra. Lori (the owner) has a wonderful team and can always find someone to take care of me when an unexpected appointment is needed. They are warm and welcoming; truly the best!

They were incredible — Courtney and Laurie both worked with me for absolutely incredible results. They were so kind, patient and knowledgeable! This was my first time getting my hair done and I felt so listened to and got exactly what I wanted. Very reasonable pricing and great offerings. Totally recommend!! They are awesome!!

Courtney is the best hairstylist I have seen in 8 years of being blonde. She knows exactly what she’s doing and her pricing is the best in Somerville. She’s efficient, cares about the integrity of your hair, and knows how to do a killer dimensional blonde. Best kept secret in Somerville is this salon!

Big moment for me there, finally decided to get rid of my very long hair and got what i believe is the best haircut I ever had! Just showed a picture for general inspiration but then Lori ended up doing something even better, in harmony with my hair type and face shape. Wonderful experience!

Lovely salon. Friendly staff. I get my hair cut from halfway down my back to my shoulders. They always wash it which saves me a hair wash. They dry it and make it look great. They do a good job with hair. Hairdressers are well trained. They also have nice music and pieces of candy. Very local.

I had a lash lift and brow waxing with Suzanne and everything was absolutely lovely! She was so friendly and made me feel super comfortable. What a lovely lady! I’ll absolutely come back in 2-3 months for another lash lift

Very flexible with scheduling. I have a compromised immune system and they went above and beyond making me feel safe. Courtney did a great cut and color on my thick, curly hair too.

Everyone here has treated my hair great: Colleen was my go-to when I had long curly hair, now Courtney helps me maintain my Mohawk. Everyone is very sweet and helpful as well!

Good service at a reasonable price. Staff and friendly and kind, salon is humble but clean and homey. I've been getting my roots bleached and hair trims for almost two years now and Courtney is a total sweetheart. Only reasons for 4/5 is that sometimes the bleaching isn't perfect (a few times I've had small banding issues with sections that got missed).

My wife went to this place and was very disappointed. She says they do a horrible wash/blow-dry. My wife gets her hair done in different places but she says this is the worst she's ever seem and won't ever go back and would tell people to seek other places. We don't ever write reviews most of the time we just move on with life but seeing my wife so disappointed and having to see her sad and mad about her hair meant a lot to me. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE
